A lot of these videos just show a combination of what people purchased but we actually got to see you build it and how there were troubles along the way. Truly amazing!
yeah man these videos actually give you a heads up on the issues one might face if they were to do it themselves, but at the same time it actually looks fun to do (minus the money you'd be spending lol)
Thank you so much for this video, this is what have been searching the whole RUclips for. They all talk about desk setups but don't at least show how it's done.
Good to see a setup that is just focussed on work and not gaming. I've been thinking about the portrait monitor idea for a while, so nice to see it in action.
Beautiful video. It was so good to see a good setup that did not have hundreds of dollars of grovemade products. I love that you were budget consciences!
I too like how you showcased cheaper alternatives contrary to most. Ergonofis look amazing without a doubt but the price is a big no no. And, the fact you build your own is both admirable and inspirational -- especially for people who either don't have the money or don't want to spent as much. Well done.
Looks good man. But definitely recommend putting the sub on the floor and not have things in front of the speakers. I know it's an old set, but you'd be surprised how much of a difference properly placed speakers can make. The sub can interfere with your PC, which you have right below it. It could even affect your mouse tracking as it vibrates the desk.
Thanks Sam, I have actually noticed the sound doesn't travel directly to me and needs to bounce off surfaces to get to me. Will give your suggestions a go and see how it feels, thanks~!
I do some wood working projects on the weekend and def not a professional but groove made charging 300 plus for the monitor stand is insane. I haven’t look at the quality up close bc I’ll never buy one but it seem like it’s plywood vs a solid piece of lumber. I am with you build your own on this one. Pro tip buy oak stair tread from your Home Depot and the will cut it to your desired dimensions then cut add the 2 inch dowels for leg. stain it and it only cost 30 bucks
Dope elbow grease setup! Love cutting costs by putting in the work, and getting a custom look. Personally- all my phone, ipad, PC- are in dark mode including browsers. Its much easier on the eyes especially at night!
Awesome video, i just purchased my new sit stand desk from desky, i actually went and priced up all the parts individually from your links and it is definitely cheaper but because desky had a promotion on their desks right now i was actually able to buy theirs at a cost of only about $40 more then buying all the parts, if it wasnt on sale then id definitely build one like you have. The only difference was the cable management tray and 8 plug adapter which did cost me more. But i found your recommendation of that desk pad really nice so i literally just ordered one for my new desk. Looks really aesthetic. Great in depth video, well done :)
Thanks Corbin! I think the tabletop price has gone up since I bought it but Desky's promotion sounded like a good one if it was only $40 more expensive! Good luck with the desk pad, you'll enjoy that it has a grip on the bottom so it doesn't slide around!
Looks dope, what you can do is connect the power adapter on the left or right part so cable fall more behind the table leg. If the cords is long enough offcourse..
Really love that you did a real world cost conscious build. A lot of the other videos I've seen use ridiculously overpriced products for all their components. Big up to you bro.
amazing set up mate. one thing that drawn me into the video was the screen saver of a digital clock. how do u make the set up for this. I am curious. thank you in advance
Thank god finally SOMEONE doesn't play into Grovemade. I have no idea how many of these setup tours I've watched where they're either sponsored by Grovemade, or they spent thousands on their products

only one question i will really appreciate the answer for is how reliable is that frame that moves up and down? I got a fixed desk that's robust they dont make them this strong anymore all i will like to do is just add a bottom frame but only if its really strong enough to support about 300lbs this is what im looking for to im far lighter than that but I saw desks costing thousands that support this weight. I got a Anthro desk and you know the quality im talking about. At the time standing desks wasn't available for my 60inch.

Nice office set up, I am getting an office upgrade and looking to get this desk from Lazy Maisons, can you please advice how is it going now? Did you end up with any issues with the desk?
I have my monitor connected same like yours, with a vertical monitor setup alongside. In the display settings ive set it up. However how do I set it up so that on the smaller vertical monitor I can click on example Internet explorer browser and it opens on the Vertical monitor (It keeps opening on the main larger 40" monitor)...At the moment whatever I open on the vertical monitor it opens directly onto the Main Monitor and keep having to drag the browser, files etc across...
Really nice setup, mate! Any chance you have the name/link of the wallpaper you're using on an ultra-wide? It has the similar vibe like photos by Eberhard Grossgasteiger, looks very nice :)
I'm on it almost everyday and it has held up beautifully. There's lots of sit stand manufacturers that also do legs only like Omnidesk and Desky but they are more expensive as well.
