If you’re comfortable with OLED, the Panasonic MZ700/MZ800 is a solid TV for the price. One of the most affordable ways to get into a smaller screen OLED TV, and it has Panasonic’s great image processing. I have a 48” MZ800 and the panel is genuinely impressive especially for the price.
@ no neither, still yet to find a permanent home for mine haha. The 42” version I believe uses LG’s 120Hz panel (best to fact check me there though) so would be a decent pick as a gaming display if you can find a HDMI cable that runs far enough! The 42” is also on sale at a lot of retailers for a hair over £500 right now so good time to grab one
They’re literally 5m cables. So if you go on Amazon and search 5m usb extension cable, 5m display port/hdmi, 5m Ethernet, 5m aux extension cable. Then pick the most affordable ones with the best reviews
Think I have that monitor arm as well. Had a hell of a time with it. Virtually all of the screws stripped immediately. Had to go out and buy new screws (didn't fit either) and really jam em in there.
@@ChrisWilmshurst Well it was my first foray into using a monitor arm so live and learn I guess. I'd really like to get some kind of a desk shelf like you have, to minimize how much keyboard cable is showing. But my monitor bottom is only about 5ish inches off the desk, because I normally slouch down in my chair when gaming so idk. Obvious choice is just to get a wireless keyboard, but as a keyboard enthusiast, so many nice boards are still wired.
@@vinvin4884 The vernal monitor shelf is pretty affordable if you're looking for that. Id definitely sort your posture out and stop slouching. It doesnt help at all especially as we get older haha.
Hi, i have seen this video before. I am returning on it to see again and here aremy questions to you and ie. 1. how do yo do the cable management and placing of gadgets, especially ipad. 2. And how you switch between windows and apple ipad ? I have a windows pc and a ipad 9th gen 10.2 inch screen variant !!
Love this setup, 1 quick question when you want to turn on your Macbook do you have to open it back up to power it on or can you do that from the Ivanky dock?
nice setup ! min is similar, but i placed my 3d ptiners (p1s + saturn 4 ultra) in a different room , inside a ikea pax closet with a filter and fan blowing directly out of the window also have tools and other stuff in this room... this gives me room in the room where the desk is... also no unhealthy fumes...
Thanks for checking out my setup! I wish I could place my printers in another room, but I don’t have the space where I currently live. Maybe in my next home! I’m offsetting a lot of the unhealthiness with the Carbon Filter in my air purifier. It’s pretty overpowered for this size of room!
Nothing like the smell of PLA (or whatever material you use) at your work station! I always advise to have a way to filter out any VOCs that the printer can produce! Besides that, your desk set up is truly inspiring !!
Thanks for the kind words about my setup, but did you miss the part about the air purifier? Also the x1 c has built in filtration. No bad smells at my setup :)
@ChrisWilmshurst I should have specified the open printer design from the A1, had a few friends get allergies because they did not take the needed precautions. Glad to hear you have an air purifier!
@ChrisWilmshurst Mainly nasal discomfort, which then lead to a nose infection. I've had something similar happen to me with my first ender 3 printer haha. Ever since I bought my X1C and added a "bento carbon filter" my nose was free of discomfort!
nice video! i planning to get the caldigit 4 elements hub, do you thinks its okay to leave the macbook on charge because the hub will charge it all the time right? i was going to buy a hub but it will take battery from the hub
I really recommend the Hisense QLED tvs. They have quantum dot so the colors pop, 144hz for gaming, and lots of dimming zones to get true blacks and unmatched brightness. I know oled has every pixel as a dimming zone but the extra brightness makes the Hisense qled tvs look better than oleds imo. They’re also way cheaper than oled tvs too. Side note, this is my first time watching your channel and I enjoyed your chill presentation and video style. It was really fun seeing your setup and how you matched everything up and kept a great aesthetic. Definitely lots of inspiration for my own setup! Thanks for the coupon code as well, I love the filing cabinet from vernal space. I’ll probably buy it end of this month here.
Thanks for the recommendation! Hisense are a pretty affordable brand right? I’ve always been put off oled tv’s due to the high cost and risk of burn in. And appreciate the kind words about the video and setup. I’m pretty particular with everything I do with this setup. So if it stands out, I really don’t want it in my setup! Haha. Don’t thank me for the code, thank vernal as they provided it. I’m just a vessel to help promote them. :) fyi, I have the tall versions of that helps based on what I’ve shown.
@@ChrisWilmshurst just for argument's sake, ill offer my experience with an oled. modern oled tvs are more affordable than ever, coming from someone who found an LG C3 65 inch on sale for I believe $1200 USD. The picture quality is worlds apart from my previous non oled tv, and while my oled only does 120hz compared to the recommended hisense, I tested some pc gaming on it and the image was better than my lcd monitors at my actual setup. As far as burn-in goes, for these newer models with all their protection hardware and software, burn-in seems to only be a problem in rare, specific, and brutal workloads. If you don't have a static image on your oled for 6 hours a day for months on end, odds are you should be fine for years to come. Great video by the way, I love your setup.
Is the V-series desk shelf flipped around? On their website the built-in shelf is on the left side and in your video it is on the right 1:55 I'm thinking about using your affiliate link to pick up the walnut desk and v-shelf!! Awesome video and love the books I have a few of em!

No, I think it’s the dock itself that resolves it. I’ve had issues with the sleep issue on other docks in the past (OWC, caldigit), but this dock requires two to work because of the two thunderbolt controllers
Its simple! My wire for my keyboard is always plugged into my PC for charging, but I switch it to bluetooth for my Mac. The Speakers are on the USB switch, and I swap mice. When it comes to inputs I just change it on my monitors quick menu. its a 5-15 second process (especially with the new lazy PC switch under the desk)

I dont know about having 3D printers right next to me while Im working. The Bambus are extremely loud and give off plastic fumes when printing. I would move them out ASAP and into a designated room with ventilation.
Each to their own, but that’s what headphones are for. Also, you must have missed the part where there is a very large air purifier next to them to suck up all airborne pollutants
The PC is a 5M display port cable and the Mac is a hdmi, so yeah, its a case of switching the input on the monitor as the control is directly in front of me under the screen.
Wait, how do you switch between Mac and PC with just one set of peripherals? KVM? Then manually change source from the monitor? I have an L-desk and I have two sets of everything, so I simply rotate my chair. But now I want to simplify my set up.
Sorry I must have forgotten to add it. Since filming this video I’ve switched them to these geni.us/R7C5iwz - They’re a lot more stronger and the locking mechanism is stronger
I have 1 3d printer and I love it but I do want a second one. Especially when I am just printing organization stuff I think people underestimate how long something like gridfinity takes to print and set up in even an Alex a tool box ect I wish I could just mass print small boxes on one.
Yeah, the main reason I've got a second printer is because I'm going to completely organise my right drawer with gridfinity and it's going to take weeks with a single printer! One trick though if you plan to do it again, there is an Ikea Alex stacked gridfinity base plate file which prints the entire drawers worth of baseplates in one go.
the dock is specifically for the Mac. The PC is controlled with the switch under the desk and to switch between all I have to do is flick a toggle on my keyboard from bluetooth to wired and change the input on my monitor.
@@sulemanjafrani2214 No, no. If you watch the video I explain. The Mac is connected to the dock. The PC uses 5m cables. To turn on the PC there is a switch next to the 3d printed drawer, I use the keyboard for both devices and switch the inputs on the back of the keyboard. I have one mouse specific to both system, and I change the input on my monitor to switch between HDMI and display port. It is all in the video... :)
That’s a bit beyond me the 3D printing stuff….😊I have been checking out some KVM switch type docs but not sure I can part with the Caldigit t4 I currently use.
@@sulemanjafrani2214 The 3d printed stuff isn't part of this setup. It's really simple. The pc is connects to the monitor with very long cables. The Mac is connected to my thunderbolt dock which then connects to the monitor. When I switch, I just change the input on both keyboard and monitor.
Unmodded i would say the Keychron loses unfortunaly as im also using a Keychron Q1 but with a couple of mods to make it sound a lot better, including manual lubing.
@@ChrisWilmshurst yeah but kind of weird how drastic the color difference is. does the wallpaper look the same on both display in person? the only reason i'm asking all this is because i wanted to know how accurate the macbook display is.
or if you're referring to the thumbnail of the video, I desaturated the iPad as there was a red reflection from something on the other side of the room.
The iPad is incredible for colour accuracy. The LG monitor is very good, and I use it daily for photography / video work. The MacBook display is great, but I need a bigger screen for my work.
Loved the setup mate. Would you be kind enough to make a detailed video about your height adjustable desk only and please show the proper stability/wobble test of your desk at certain heights. Thanks.
I would love to, but I don't have the free time to do that. Here's my opinions on the desk. Solid foundation, sturdy at lower levels, with a tiny bit of wobble at my preferred standing height (102cm), but I also have it on wheels so that may effect stability. It's a good desk, id say in terms of stability. Identical if not a slightly be better than my Flexispot E7B I had before, but way easier to put together.
@@ChrisWilmshurst Thanks for the info. I have checked the Flexispot UK website but could not find the E7B. Could you please share the link for that desk?
I’m not crazy rich in the slightest man. A lot of the stuff has been sent to me over the years, I’ve saved, or thrown it on credit cards and paid it off (do not recommend this last part). But I’m a full time photographer / videographer if that helps.
I've known a lot of people that drive super fancy luxerious cars and their apartments look like they got robbed. I drive an reliable but old beater of a car, instead I spent my money on home stuff, like a good office setup. We all prioritize differently. Problem with social media is that people only show you the good parts to life.
We have the same aesthetic... The amount of women's set ups I've watched is well into the hundreds and I've YET to see anything similar.. I'm starting to think Tiktok is right and I am a gay divorced dad just without the equipment or the child.. or divorce :/ I can't buy ANYTHING because I'm from the states and all the links are overseas but i WAAAAAANNNNNTTTT the black and gray keyboard even though green is my favorite color. OMGGGGG I would LOVE this set up but I'm a CNA at a dementia facility and it does not pay well at all. :( So i'll do it slowly.. not the 3d printers or the standing desk. I stand for 12 to 16 hours a day, the last thing i want coming home IS TO KEEP STANDING. lol. Love the video. Bit much for me (I'm a minimalist) but it looks amazing and I actually need that keyboard.
Im sure you can order the Akko keyboard to the states? as most of the things are in dollars. If it helps, im not in a massively well paid job. I'm just stupid with money and it's slowly been built up over the years (quite few desk setups on the channel). So don't be disheartened. Everyone's home doesn't feel like home for a while!
@ChrisWilmshurst It's sold out here. So I gotta wait and see if it restocks :( I try to save up, only eating one meal a day, only buying things I ABSOLUTELY need... that's it... that's all. Yet, it's impossible to save money because groceries are so insanely expensive here in California. Also, because I work 60-70 hour weeks, my tax cut is closer to 40% instead of 30% so I make less. :( The only holiday I've had all year was Halloween so I'm extremely tired but ya know. I can't survive on air so.
Great setup! Thank you. You forget to present your Herman Miller Aeron chair, which is an important and expensive ingredient of an ergonomic setup. But what I don't get at all, is your keyboard. Why is it so small, you have plenty of deskspace not to jump on this trendy bandwagon of everybody using a keyboard scavanged from Influencer Barbie's laptop. Isn't this more serious than that?" Don't you need function keys, arrows, numeric keypad for fast entry of numbers, or just to use calculator comfortably, a page up page down key, curly brackets, square brackets, backslash, backtick, tilde, etc? ..so either you never code or in exchange for 'coolness', you accept some weird hard-to-remember 4-key combination workarounds that require your toes. This is anything but ergonomic. ...and on top of all that the keyboard is blinding white hurting my eyes even thru a video.
Oh I didn't mention the chair because it hasn't changed for several videos, plus I only paid £20 on Facebook marketplace for it. What's wrong with the keyboards? I think you should take another hard look. The only thing missing is a number pad and I don't need a number pad as im not typing away in excel all day or using calculators. I'm a video editor and photographer by day (which is stated in the video, never did I say I was a coder) so on the rare chance I need to use a calculator, the number row will do just fine and its not exactly hard to memorise number locations. both keyboards are perfectly ergonomical and there is no need for any key combination workarounds (except maybe the stupid Mac OS print screen shortcut, but thats the same with every keyboard). I have used 75% keyboards for years with no issues and regarding coding, there are plenty of computer programmers and developers who use 75% keyboards with zero issues, maybe you're just not very flexible or maybe you should buy the right tool that suits your needs. As I certainly don't need a giant keyboard on my desk. Thanks for stopping by though and leaving a comment. Even if we disagree I appreciate the time and effort put into it.
@@ChrisWilmshurst Thanks for the reply, sorry, I didn't mean to be confrontational, just really don't understand this trend, was hoping for some explanation, but still don't see the benefit, except that there are six square feet more table space available, but what for? and your're right, we probably use the computer for completely different things. I use it for programming, and I regularly have to write in other languages where the alphabet is more than 26 letters. In any case, we agree to disagree on this. Take care!
Unfortunately there isn’t literally about three hours a day where there is light in this room due to its orientation. I wish there was a big bright window :(

@@ChrisWilmshurstdid you have to subscribe to get that wallpaper?
If you have wallpaper engine you ‘subscribe’ to a wallpaper and it adds it to the app.
Hey, where did you get the MagSafe charging dock?
2:44
It’s a 3d printed model. Links in my last videos description
What’s the name of your cabinet with the drawers that holds all your gear?
It’s from Vernal!
The wallpaper. Where can I get it
Nice setup. I wasn’t expecting there to be a bed in that room 😮.
Thank you. I wish I was in a position in life where it wasn't. 😅
How do you switch between the two inputs for your LG monitor? Do you just go from HDMI one to HDMI two to switch between your PC and MacBook?
Sick setup by the way, I love it
The PC is a 5M display port cable and the Mac is a hdmi, so yeah, its a case of switching the input on the monitor as the control is directly in front of me under the screen.
Wait, how do you switch between Mac and PC with just one set of peripherals? KVM? Then manually change source from the monitor? I have an L-desk and I have two sets of everything, so I simply rotate my chair. But now I want to simplify my set up.
It’s simple! I change the input on my monitor using the quick menu. Then switch my keyboard from Bluetooth to wired.
What wheels did you go with from Amazon? I didn't see them linked
Sorry I must have forgotten to add it. Since filming this video I’ve switched them to these geni.us/R7C5iwz - They’re a lot more stronger and the locking mechanism is stronger
*Who Makes your Monitor Arm? I have an LG Monitor Myself but Mines a 27 inch OLED display now as opposed to the 27inch Monitor you have now*
It’s a cheap one from Amazon, no special brand or expensive one. It might be linked in the description.
where did you get the model for the iphone night standby dock?
Here you go. he's got a variety of 3d designs for different iPhone models with and without cases. makerworld.com/en/models/699809#profileId-632067

Great video bud setup look amazing❤
Which controller stand are you using for your controller on your desk?
That’s a 3d printed one… I’ll try find the link for you when I’m home!
@ please do, I love it
@@Scrimms_ here you go www.printables.com/model/813957-stealth-xbox-controller-stand
where did you learn to make models for 3d printing?
These models are freely available online
I have 1 3d printer and I love it but I do want a second one. Especially when I am just printing organization stuff I think people underestimate how long something like gridfinity takes to print and set up in even an Alex a tool box ect I wish I could just mass print small boxes on one.
Yeah, the main reason I've got a second printer is because I'm going to completely organise my right drawer with gridfinity and it's going to take weeks with a single printer! One trick though if you plan to do it again, there is an Ikea Alex stacked gridfinity base plate file which prints the entire drawers worth of baseplates in one go.
What is the size of your table => width x deep? Thanks
Its 150 x 70 cm :)
Can you please share the wallpaper link???
How do you switch between the Mac and pc is there a switcher on the doc?
the dock is specifically for the Mac. The PC is controlled with the switch under the desk and to switch between all I have to do is flick a toggle on my keyboard from bluetooth to wired and change the input on my monitor.
@@ChrisWilmshurstunderstood so there is not switcher or dual pc option in the dock itself ….
When I switch, I just change the input on both keyboard and monitor.
where did you get The wallpaper behind the desk?
it was here when I moved in! I'd imagine either B&Q, Dunelm or Homebase in the UK
@@ChrisWilmshurstdarn. I love the look of it.
awesome vid!! thanks so much

I do not use a kvm

Unmodded i would say the Keychron loses unfortunaly as im also using a Keychron Q1 but with a couple of mods to make it sound a lot better, including manual lubing.
I might give it a try. Any specific brands I should look at??
Great setup but I'm just relieved to see someone typing quickly the same way that I do. For so many years I felt shame for not typing the right way 🤣
Thank you. Don’t be ashamed for the way you type. If it works for you, it works!
very very nice
is that the 60" desk?
It’s 150cm x 70cm, so almost 60”
Did you generate your script with gpt, sounds like it

150cm x 70cm
Having 3d printers in my bedroom would piss me right off :)
Well, luckily it doesn’t for me. Ha.
can you send wallpaper link please ?
Nice job!!
Thank you!
why does the wallpaper have a green tint on the monitor but looks black and white on the ipad?
Most likely from the colour grade and or lights used to film this video.
@@ChrisWilmshurst ok good nice to know! I’m not talking about the thumbnail, I noticed it in the video itself.
Dude your super crazy
What did I do?
Again you gonna build a new setup that's insane as you told in your video
Im probably going to make another next year. Haha
Is that really a 150x70cm desk?
It sure is
Old mate’s got Vernal Disease.
I think you mean venereal. But good try 😉
@ 😂
What is your mobile watches faces name
I use the modular ultra watch face
@@mzeeshan it would be the e7 or e8 now. It was a long time ago when I had it (old desk setup on this channel)
very slick advertisement!
Cheers for watching. It is a sponsored video. So there’s going to be some advertisement baked in to help keep the lights on. 👌
4 years old TV is old? What exactly is wrong with it?
It’s incredibly slow and the colours / brightness are not great.

Dude looks like your crazy rich, whats your job plss???
I’m not crazy rich in the slightest man. A lot of the stuff has been sent to me over the years, I’ve saved, or thrown it on credit cards and paid it off (do not recommend this last part).
But I’m a full time photographer / videographer if that helps.
@ChrisWilmshurst oh thats cool! Looking forward to seeing more of these videos ! Thanks!
I've known a lot of people that drive super fancy luxerious cars and their apartments look like they got robbed. I drive an reliable but old beater of a car, instead I spent my money on home stuff, like a good office setup. We all prioritize differently. Problem with social media is that people only show you the good parts to life.
@@jace4817 True
@@jace4817 I’d rather a comfy nice place to spend my days/evening than a fancy car!
Dude, my TV is almost 10 years old.
Then and again, I’m not upgrading the TV until the kids pass the “everything is a touchscreen” phase.
If it still works it still works!
I dont have children so I get to skip that phase!
We have the same aesthetic... The amount of women's set ups I've watched is well into the hundreds and I've YET to see anything similar.. I'm starting to think Tiktok is right and I am a gay divorced dad just without the equipment or the child.. or divorce :/
I can't buy ANYTHING because I'm from the states and all the links are overseas but i WAAAAAANNNNNTTTT the black and gray keyboard even though green is my favorite color. OMGGGGG
I would LOVE this set up but I'm a CNA at a dementia facility and it does not pay well at all.
So I gotta wait and see if it restocks :(
I try to save up, only eating one meal a day, only buying things I ABSOLUTELY need... that's it...
Take care!
