Restorative Yoga For Stress Relief | 30 Minute Practice

- De-stress with this 30 minute calming yoga routine that includes gentle and simple full body stretches for relaxation. Each pose is held for around 2 minutes to give time for the body and mind to slow down, and to help reduce cortisol levels.
Bring a pillow and/or block to this session, if you have them. No worries if not.

Beautiful class
i find it a common theme that i tear up or cry during yoga practices. it seems that the tears always come after i'm told to be aware of my body, like putting a hand on my heart and a hand on my stomach to feel my heartbeat and feel my breath. another example is showing gratitude towards myself, like saying thank you to myself for giving my body time and for showing up. i'm taking this all as a sign that i need to treat myself more gently and be more grateful to my body and mind for letting me exist.
i'm still new to yoga and mindful stretching, but i've decided that once a week, i'm going to take time in my day to only do yoga-no weight lifting, no cardio-heavy workouts. just stretching and recovering and being nice to myself. i'm excited.
thank you for these peaceful, follow-along yoga practices. it makes it a lot easier to get started when you know someone is there to practice along with you. and i really appreciate how gentle you are in your instruction and how calm you seem. thank you for sharing these practices 🙏🏻❤
