I didn't need to watch this video. I've been setting up quads on Betaflight for as long as you have. I still watched the whole thing! Good tutorial, bro. This will really help new people and I appreciate that you took the time to do that!
Great tutorial! Regarding board and sensor alignment: sometimes manufacturers will bake in a gyro adjustment for the FC - even if it's not in a BNF. I ran into this recently with a brand new Mepsking FC that caused some issues when I reflashed to 4.5; the "stock" gyro alignment was CW 90°. Take note of the stock alignment before reflashing.
Thanks for this video! really on point and quick! cheers from mexico, i just wanted to install new 4.5.1 firmware on my new cinebot30, buy i wiped all factory settings, this way im gonna try setting it up from zero!
HI your video is best explained but in BF 4.5 you need not set osd displayport device in CLI .This can be donein the ports tab ,when you select MSP for the uart of HD VTX then in the far right of the ports tab ie in the periferals you have to select MSP+Display port in the same UART fof MSP and in the preset tab you can select a preset of all HD prtofiles and assign the UART on which MSP has been selected . It is very user friendly now .try this on your next Build
Amazing video as always. Thank you very much! I have an iflight evoque v2 F5D. Iflight reinforce in OEM documentation and they website that I should not update my firmware so I don't loose the OEM presets. Is that so? My evoque is on 4.4 version and I use GPS which has a bunch of upgrades on 4.5 but I'm afraid to update and mess up my perfectly working drone.. Thanks again!!!
You can go to the presets tab and save a backup of the current configuration on your drone that iflight set up. then update to 4.5 and then dump the config file into the CLI tab. That will put the tune and all the settings they made back on the drone. If you have any issues you can always downgrade firmware back to what it was and again dump the config file into the CLI tab and it will reset everything back to what it was.
I see you flew a speedybee 3.5 and wondered if you are using the same rateporfile setting ? or what will you recommend for presets and rate profile setting .Thanks
I just flash my firmware to the latest one 4.5 BTFL and in betaflight my rx (crossfire) can communicate with my drone like for eg roll/ pitch/ yaw etc. And on the modes tab I can arm, disarm, toggle between the angle, acro and horizontal. But then when I take my drone to the park, hook it up with a new battery pack and try to arm it. It won’t arm it at all. I see that it flashes blue to green when I toggle between Acro mode to Horizon mode and to Angle. What I did in betaflight: Arm the quad in 180 degree angle. Tried turning off the air mode. Didn’t work. Tried turning back on the air mode. Didn’t work.
How to increased caddex vista unite max power output with dji goggles 2 I'm facing range problem it's disconnected in 200meter Can u help And your gps rescue settings worked properly
You need to do the HAM file hack in your goggles 2. look up ham file hack and watch madstech video he will show you how. And in your goggle menu go to transmission then channel mode, select manual. and set bandwidth to 40mhz and select any channel 1-3 once you have done the ham file unlock. there might be some other options in the goggle menu for the vista but im not sure because I don't have one.
For analog vtx, go to the ports tab and under peripherals select either TBS smart audio or IRC tramp for the uart your vtx is soldered to. If you dont know which protocol your vtx is just try both smart audio and IRC tramp. One of those should work. And you need to have your VTX tab set up with the band and channels. select which band and channel you want to be transmitting and then make your goggles match that band and channel. here is a link that will help with analog vtx setup. ruclips.net/p/PLwoDb7WF6c8nT4jjsE4VENEmwu9x8zDiE&si=h_CHvUDq1FPqHFPA

Dji goggles 2 doesn't give me the range with cadex poler Vista losing the link in 200 meter
Can you help on this topic?
Most probably or usual cause is the antenna of the quad. Try to change the antenna of your drone and see if it helps.
Cheers

Re check your settings. Make sure your switches are set up to the correct functions.
For some reason RUclips will not allow me to like or save your videos
Sorry to hear that I'll look into it and see if I can help.
