Joining The Military At An Older Age. Air Force Tech School As A 39 Year Old

- So in this video I ramble for about 15 minutes discussing my experience as an older person at Tech School. Thinking back at my time at tech school I definitely felt like I had a harder time than when I was at BMT.
If you haven't seen my videos before, I joined the military at 39 years old back in 2018. Check out my other videos if you're interested.

Ya know, there's something about this guy...I like him. I'm 38 thinking about joining and he really puts me at ease about the decision. Thank bro!
Haha, right on, Bro. Yeah definitely consider it. The age thing really isn't an issue. Some things happen that are annoying but overall it's actually beneficial to be older when going in. Keep me updated on your progress!
@@erikminamihata yo you should make a video updating us on the progress.
Same here I'm 31 thinking about joining
Same thing 😅
Brian did you end up joining?
I’m 39 and about to join the military and you are really helping me. Thank you so much! Please don’t stop making videos.
Hey thanks Angel! I really do appreciate that. I'm glad the vids are helping. And I definitely really do need to get back into making some videos. I have a couple on the way. How are things going so far?
@@erikminamihata Things are going well so far, I have to loose a couple of pounds before I can start the process, I’m trying my best. My recruiter gave me two months to loose 20lbs. I will be 40 in June. So the struggle is real, lol!
@@angelgoins3125 this is amazing, my last name is Goings and I have to lose 30 lbs to begin the process... I hope you do well and This video really put me at ease about joking at 38/39 years old! Good luck to you both!!!
Joining
I am 39 and I want to join too. Sometimes I feel too old for that but on the other hand I think this year is my last chance to do it. I Know is going to be hard, I am nervous but I dont want to live the rest of my life saying " Why I didn't do it"
Bro the hell with how old you are, you succeeded, that's what Im about to do is join and Im 39 yrs
Same!
Thanks bro! Definitely! You'll do awesome!
Hell yeah!
39 gang
Did you join?
Thank you for your service!!
My son just graduated Highschool and leaving for AF BMT in a few weeks. I am now seriously thinking about joining @ 39.... we shall see..
Thanks man, you mighta just pushed me over the top at 36 to do it! Really appreciate your insights! Don't worry about the sad people making noise. Just keep being yourself, it's easy to see you're a good, stand up dude and the hate is just jealousy or boredom. Only feeble minded people care about the superficial nuances around how we all cope with life. Shit we're all weirdos in some way and that's kinda the beauty! Congratulations on making it! Damn ya got me a little choked up when I saw you shake that hand and how much pride you had in the accomplishment! Fucking awesome man! You're really helping & inspiring people! Keep up the good work & best wishes to ya!
Thanks, Iconic! Definitely look into it. I've been in 3 years now and still have no regrets! Keep me updated on your progress!
Awesome timing. I start in-processing for BMT then tech school in a month. You were a big inspiration when I was enlisting last year (shit did I spend a lot of time in Student Flight), glad to hear from you before I ship out.
Hey John awesome!! Are you ready? You'll do great! Glad to hear you're going straight to tech school after BMT too! Thanks brother I appreciate the comment.
I’m 30 and I’m about to enlist in the AF. Thank you for making this videos!
Welcome back!! Talk about life now that you’ve crossed over!!
Thanks!! Yea definitely! How have you been?
Kinda late to watch your videos but really helpfull . Me (38) and my wife (34) are preparing ourselves to join in 2024. It`s really cool to have information from someone around the same age.
I just went through basic in feb 2022 and I had a blast and also went through tech school and had a blast! Thanks to your vid’s for motivation I was definitely going to join but your vids ease the process for sure!
That is awesome! How are you liking your career? Congrats!
Congrats on the baby! Still enjoy the update videos. Dont let some internet keyboard warrior stop you from sharing. I watched your videos before I enlisted in the National guard at 34. I'll be 36 in September. You're spot on, dropping everything to enlist and be gone for months at a time with little to no contact with your wife and kids is the hardest part. Trying to connect with people half your age is also not easy as you're pretty much at two differnt stages in life. It's an experience that older people will only understand once they take the plunge and go through with it.
Hey Jason! How's it going? It's definitely different, right? How's NG life going?
Erik for real thank you I'm turning 38 USAF is all i got. Got a pretty thick history in the civilian world lotsa leadership experience though as well. Family, mortgage all that shit of course.
Your videos are very important to guys like us, we're all heart.
Nikita! thanks so much for the comment. It means a lot! I'm glad these videos help. I really should make some more haha. Hope all is well!
Appreciate your videos greatly.
Hey thanks for watching them Jeff! It's definitely appreciated. Hope these help out. That's the main goal!
Bruh!!! I’m so happy to have found your channel... I’m 38 and I have been planning my enlisting strategy since March 2020 and I’m working with my recruiter to make my trip to MEPs in October/November... I’m extremely worried that my age will cause hurdles even though I’m physically fit enough! You have helped me get that out of my head so that I’m clear to focus on my goal! Thank you!
Right on, Bro! Trust me, I know the feeling haha. Good on you for doing the research and pressing through. Enjoy the journey. You're going to do awesome! Keep me updated on your progress!
@@erikminamihata For Sure! I'm hopeful that the lack of recruitment due to the pandemic may be in my favor. Thanks, again, for the content! I'll keep you posted.
How did it turn out?
Best video I’ve seen so far for guys over 30 joining the military, counting down till ship date.
Thanks Carlo! Which job did you land?

Brian iFitness welcome back bro!! Right on! What was your experience like? How you digging operational life?
@@erikminamihata I guess I could make a whole video about it... But operational is very laid back at my base. I'm used to a fast paced working environment.

My pleasure!
I’m 36 now and I knew younger folks who were in Air Force and honestly, I am jealous of their lifestyle lol. When I was young, junior in high school, I was going to join the Army (I was an Army brat), then 9/11 happened and I chickened out. I’m a single mother and my son is now a teenager. I have thought about joining for a while now, I have a few years to act quick.
Definitely look into it. It's something I wish I did when I was younger but glad I'm doing it now.
Same here 💯
Uh hell no! At 19 years old an airman stuck and live on base, random room inspections and literally at work 24/7, random commanders call. When 19 year old airman wish they were in college banging college girls. Not sure what lifestyle you’re talking about. 800 bucks biweekly in 2005 sucked ass!
Thanks for your videos. I’m almost 40 and just found out the max age increased so I’m doing some research. Pensacola guy here too! Glad you got to visit this side of the country.
Right on! I loved it out there. I miss being out there for sure. Which AFSCs are you looking into?
What did you do?
Ground Trans, Personnel, or Admin. I did Admin in the Army and have been in Hotel Mgmt and Banking for the past 20 yrs, along with house flipping on the side. Been working with the local AF Reserve recruiter diligently and got my Reentry waiver approved, just waiting on the MEPS waiver. Thankfully I won’t have to go back to BMT again tho!
Welcome back Erik
Thanks! It's been way too long haha. How are you?
I’m doing fine, we missed your videos.
Yes it’s, being long time. But we got you back.
I’m set to leave for the Navy too I’m 35. These videos have been helpful through the process.
Hey awesome! Congrats! You're going to do awesome over there at Great Lakes! Which rate did you get? I'm excited for you. Be an awesome shipmate and lead your crew. They'll need you for support. Keep me updated!
@@erikminamihata I picked OS, my recruiter was also helpful in this process. Made it easy for me. I’m looking forward to it. I’ll keep you updated thanks for the support.
Thanks man, I needed this.
Awesome! Glad it helped. Let me know how it goes!
I'm 37 and have a decent job. But Probably my biggest regret is not serving. I've always wanted to but I was overweight. It's always something I felt was left undone. I am considering it now even though I have a great Union job with AT&T. I think I can keep my seniority with AT&T and join, and come back and do the job when I finish service. I think this would be an insane opportunity for me and would greatly increase my chances of buying a home. This hits me in the feels even more it being memorial weekend.
I joined when i was 28. Im 31 and a Staff Sergeant now. If you are motivated, which I believe most older people are, it is super easy. It’s actually written down and given to you on how to keep your job and do well at your job, unlike civilian world were you gotta figure it out on your own most of the time.
Right on, thank you, Sir. You are 100% correct. I love the structure and support. Definitely a lot different from my civilian job. It's great!
Love your videos
Thanks Adam!
I was a sheet metal student at 28 years old @ Pensacola NAS. Loved it, I felt like the old guy too.
I definitely miss it there. Would like to go back again but not as a brand new Airman out of BMT hahah.
@@erikminamihata Yeah, forsure. I went back TDY, for the metal bonded course, that was a blast.
Yoooo that video was funny AF, the one where people where sleeping in class lol. Looks like regular school, I thought in the military it was constant yelling and had to be on your toes.
HAHAHA. Things definitely change after BMT. After BMT and Tech School it's like a regular job.
woo! way to go man
Thanks!!
Man no matter what you post there will always be haters and trolls. You keep doing you. You’re helping people more than what others can say. On another note, I’m 28 and trying to join but the recruiters were told by their superiors to stay out of office cause of fears of corona virus. So my 1pm appt was cancelled. Fml haha
Mr LG thanks Bro! Oh man, corona virus strikes! Which job are you going for?
Mr LG 😂 what branch??????
Jeffree Lux Air Force lol
Erik Honestly almost any job, I do like working with my hands. So probably something mechanical. I’ve always wanted to be in the military but never made the leap, plus now that I have my wife’s permission I’m definitely down to do it.
I went to Keesler, i visited Pensacola alot. Loved that place.
I definitely miss it sometimes hahah. How was Keesler?
Man!! I am glad your back... I've been looking to join the Air Force Reserves (I'm 38.. Nov. i'll be 39), but haven't seen updates from you--- so i figured you were maybe regretting your decision--- if possible, I want to talk to ya before i join... I'm in Riverside CA, and I remember you saying your in SoCal... let me know man?!?! Thx for the videos
Hey thanks Ryan. Definitely no regrets here. Well, actually I just wish that I went active duty first. Other than that, it's great! Right on, you're right by March. You can text me or hit me up on Skype. (323) 205-6629.
Ryan Thomas me too!!
Erik right on!!! thank you bro!! I’m pretty sure I don’t have Skype tho, but I do have FaceTime... do you have that?
@@erikminamihata why you wish to do active first? Can you elaborate the reason? I’m deciding which one also.
Total respect my man. I still think of joining at my mid 40's (In Canada). I have a weird joint condition, and the physicality of it would not be the best idea for me (not in a deadly way, just extra injuries). It's complicated and rare. I still think about joining sometimes. Some 50 year old guy up here did it pretty recently. Almost anything is possible!
Thanks I appreciate that. Definitely look into it! I"m thinking you'll have an advantage being in your 40s. You'll have a ton of life experiences that the young ones won't that will be highly valuable. It's definitely possible! Keep me updated on your progress!
@@erikminamihata So, I have looked into it since I messaged you here. It is literally impossible unfortunately. My condition is too severe for them, they won't accept me. Thats ok, it has always been a thought in my mind. I do have a career anyway, so I will survive. I can love my country in other ways.

Awesome, Brian! How's the progress going?
@@erikminamihata I decided against joining. The positions I was considering have a 2-3 year vetting process, and by that time I will be much more established at my current job.

Heyy brotha I appreciate you making these videos, I'm currently 33 and in the process of working with the recruiter, my question to you is if you can make videos on taking classes to improve yourself after tech school. What do they offer what you or other of your peers recommend on taking
Hey John right on! Which AFSC are you going for? I'll see what I can do. Thanks!
I just love all the late 30-somethings joining the AF comments on here. You all are inspiring.
Thanks bro. Are you thinking of joining too?
@@erikminamihata Yup! :)
Erik, I appreciate your videos. So much value in your material for guys like us. Thank you. I'm 35. A public school teacher with wife and house. Did you consider full time military with having to possibly sale your house, up and move, and take a pay cut to join? That's my issue. I'm anxious to join but don't know if I'm just day dreaming as far as creating new life. I want to learn a new skill. Any input is appreciated, thank you in advance. And thank you for your service.
Hey James thanks! Yeah we definitely did. I was actually in DEP for Active Duty first. We were ready to drop everything but in the end it didn't work out for us. We had to consider all the angles like you said with the house and both of our careers. The travel and new experience would have been cool for sure but I think the Guard or Reserve has the best of both worlds for our situation. We still have our careers, house, etc and I get to do the military thing too. Hit me up if you have any questions. I know its not an easy thing to consider for sure. Keep me updated!
@@erikminamihata the reassurance is a big help, thank you! Blessings!
Hey, I'm looking to join as well at 37. Got to do what's in your heart.
How would a 39 year old (turning 40 in December) go about joining the Space Force as an officer without a STEM background? Is it even possible, and if not would it make sense to go the enlistment route for someone with a Masters? I know that the general consensus is to go the officer route for someone with a masters, but I've also heard that Space Force is in a category of its own. What's your take? By the way, your videos have been invaluable in showing that it's never too late to join. Much appreciated.
I went back in at 38. Fun times at Lackland...
Your channel is a big helpt to me! Im 33.5 years old. Wanna join but cant decide full or part time. Does part time seem enough for you? Are u going to do 20 years or how long?
I’m 26 was thinking joining the military. I just want have a life experience and learn as much I can on the careers they offer
Right on. Yeah the military will definitely give you those experiences for sure. Check out USAjos.gov. Search for MOS/Rates/AFSCs (the job titles thought) that you're interested in on that site. You'll be able to see what's out there and what they pay on the civilian side. That should help in your career research. Let me know if you need any help.
I want to join. I’m 36 and trying to get in shape before the Air Force cut off limit. I regret letting people get into my head when I was younger. I was in Air Force JROTC all throughout high school and when I told family and friends about going into the military, I was told that black people have no place in the military. I was young and angry due to the loss of a parent, so I looked for any reason to be angry and I believed what I salad told. I thought the military was gonna be my way out, I truly regret sharing, I should’ve just enlisted and rolled out but since I graduated at 17, it would’ve been an entire year before I could enlist on my own.
I’m 36. working on paying off all debt before trying to join. Go for it. I’m also black too. Try not to let people distract you from goals.
I was told that a black man has no place in the military and that I’m a sell out if I do it. Now I have a change of mind after learning about so many brave black people and other people of color serving historically.
@@tehutizephaniah2627 Tons of non white people serving. I’ve learned sometimes the worst thing you can do is tell people your plans.
Im a full 40 yrold, and im trying to join the air force as i text. Ive done the make money thing already. Just not fulfilling anymore. Passing the health exam part is my only concern. #WellShallSee 🙆🏾♂️
When you come in as an older trainee in BMT, are the MTI's likely to put you in a leadership job (e.g., Dorm Chief or Element Leader) because of your age and maturity? Were you put in that position? Also, for your age, what was the maximum time allowed for you to complete the 1.5 mile run for the final test to graduate BMT? I'm late 30's, no prior military, and looking to join the California ANG as a Defender. Thank you.
Oh nice! Yeah I have a ton of friends where I'm at who are Security Forces. They love it. A couple of things, our MTI didn't give out rolls based on age. It was totally random. But of course that changes from MTI to MTI. I was a Chowrunner and Chapel Guide. But yea, not based on age by any means. Also, everyone will have to complete the 1.5 at the same standard. Age doesn't factor in on your PT at BMT. Hit us up in our facebook group. We have some Cal ANG recruiters in there as well.
Erik Thanks brother! Take care.
Any financial advice for either bootcamp or tech school? Thanks for the video by the way.
Oh yeah for sure. Going in married or single? Honestly just spend as little as possible. You're going to be able to basically live and eat for free. If you're getting BAH save up that money for a down payment on a house if you don't have one already. Spend as little as possible on food for sure. But yeah, save everything, eat at the DEFAC, don't buy a bunch of shoes, a tv, etc. and you'll come out of there with a good chunk of change. Let me know what your situation is and I can go in to detail. Great question!
How old were your kids when you left for BMT and tech school? 29 going on 30, got 3 boys, 7, 8, & 9. Been talking to then about my desire to join to provide them a better future.
I actually didn't have my daughter until I was back from basic and tech. I know though that being away from your family will be the hardest part but temporary. Difficult but definitely consider it
I'm so glad I found your channel. Loving your videos. I'm 27 years old and have been a serious lifter(powerlifting) since I was 19 and still maintain a very good fitness lifestyle. I'm still in college with a bunch of credits but don't have a college degree, yet. Looking to join the Air Force reserves but there are several things I would like to know.
-has anything changed since covid19?
-i plan on buying a house. Would I be able to use the housing money from the military towards my mortage, if possible?
-what jobs in the air force can i do as a civilian at the same time?
-would i be better off going in as a Recruit with college credits to get a higher rank than a high school graduate would be, or should I enlist as an Officer, which means I would have to get a college degree first?
Thanks in advance.
Hey thanks for checking out the vids! Glad they help out. If you have the opportunity to go to college I'd say go for it. Especially if you can find a college that has an Air Force ROTC program. Best of both worlds. I'm actually making a vid right now addressing some of those questions here shortly. Thanks so much!

Im 33, about to go to MEPS in 2 weeks. Excited. How has your time been so far?
Thanks for the videos! What is your job in the ANG and was that the job you wanted?
Hey Tim thanks! I'm NDI. And yup, it was my first pick. I asked my recruiter for that job and he found it for me. Benefit of being in the Guard. You can pick you job. How about you?
Air force reserves im 38 thinking of one of them. There are so many different branches what made you pick that one? Also 6 months training? Do they require a buzz cut after training? Thank for your Honesty in your vids. You where saying your recruiter was talking about extending age or something. Btw is a degree required for this position
Hey Lorenzo. It was either Air Force, Navy, or Army that were the options. I went with Air Force because I didn't want to be on a ship and the Army wasn't good for me personally because of the long deployment periods. As for the hair, once you're out of BMT you just have to keep it in regs. The position only requires a high school diploma/GED. You going for it? Keep me updated!
I joined the navy at 39 too.
Hey Erik, congrats...I have a question: I plan on joining I'm 38 but I also want to become a PJ or at least go to Ranger School...what's your thoughts?...thanks in advance...
Thanks! Absolutely go for it! Don't let your age hold you back. Just get your body and mind ready for it. If I could I would love to give it a shot. People pay money just to experience something similar to that school. Follow your dream. Keep me updated!
Erik, what is the name of the Facebook group you created? I’m 36, going through the recruitment process for ANG. I really want NDI as my AFSC. I’d really like to join the group.
Hey Blake - Sorry for the late reply. It's called Joining The Military At An Older Age - Ages 30 And Up. Let me know if you have any issues finding it.
I had a question as far enlisting would I have any trouble because of a marijuana leaf tattoo on my chest area and if being in a drug and alcohol rehab have any effect on joining.
Hey Steven I'd hit up a recruiter for that. You might be able to get away with getting the tattoo lasered off. But yeah, check with a recruiter first and see what he/she says.
I’m dropping off all my credentials to the recruiter tomorrow. Recommendations on getting a high score in the ASVAB?

Hey Adam! I think I saw your post in the group?
Hi Erik again, you didn’t say how long takes the tech school
and what job you sign for?
I was at Tech School for 3 months for NDI.
Hey Erik , I was wondering ( even though its been 4 years ) if I could discuss your time in the air force briefly ? This would mean a lot to me before I embark on this journey !
Oh yeah for sure. I really need to get back into it haha. But so far so good. Rounding out my first term. Has it's ups and downs for sure but overall it's been a great experience. Where you at in the process? Keep me updated!
Wow this is awesome ! I didnt expect to hear back from you. Right now im about to hit MEPS soon on the 3rd of june .
Wondering if you had any advice for anyone that is 25 (like me) that hasnt proceeded onward to college going into the military?
Background info. :
Ive been studying rigorously to relearn alot of lost knowledge from grade school. Kinda in a , " what the hell have you been doing with your life ." - quarter-life crisis .
Ever since i got dumped last year, (first heartbreak) ive been kinda down on myself. It's been a humble-sobering experience that i wish i had felt in highschool .
Questions:
1. how has the airforce treated you ?
2. Did the airforce help with any social soft-skills?
3. Im going air-national guard . Would this be the best bang for my buck?
4. I know you joined at 39 , but did you have a degree before you joined?
5. At 25 without a degree ; would you say that im late to the party joining the airforce? I want to go to college after .
6. Do you know anyone that is active AND going to college? How does that balance look like?
7. How do you deal with chain of command what would be the best approached attitude to develop before joining?
Statements:
1. Doing research , i like what the airforce offers , but it seems competitive nonetheless.
2. The airforce seems like they definitely have the best quality of life.
3. I like your Japanese tattoo artwork- the colors compliment eachother well.
4. I dont expect any in depth answers ! I get that you're busy and we don't know eachother well .
I’m 39 and thinking of joining but scared because of the age thing
Hey Erik, saw your comment on the military money channel. Have u been able to apply to officer school after tech school?
Hey Lucas! Actually I have. I'll have to update you on that one. That's an "in-progress" situation as we speak.
Im 37 ive been thinking about joining.
Erik, what's your AFSC? Why did you decide to go AF rather than ANG?
Hey jsou - I'm NDI. I went AF because ANG required more waivers and honestly with the longer deployments would have been difficult on the family. Which direction are you going?
What tech school did you attend? Also were you working and able to keep your job while at the boot camp and tech school? Im prior service active duty but now im thinking of going reserves and currently working. I believe I would only have to go to tech school since I already did boot camp but I heard you mention your schooling was 3 months. Im not sure if the company I work for would let me keep my job if I am gone that long. Im worried they would let me go since I plan on joining after already working for the company. I have a buddy who was already in the reserves before starting at the company so they let him take his days or weeks off sometimes to do his military thing but Im not sure what they will tell me when I bring it up to them that I want to go into the reserves.
Hey Uli, Sorry for the late reply. The federal government has a law in place that protects your job for up to (i believe) 6 years. It's called the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. But yea, I had no problem with my company letting me do my military thing. Let me know if you need any help on this.

Yup! Still in. It's great! I just wish I did all of this a lot sooner. Thanks for asking!
@@erikminamihata That's awesome! I am 34, just took the ASVAB and went through MEPS about two weeks ago. AFSC selection now! Any advice? What did you select? I am thinking Cyber or Personnel for now. Thank you for the reply as well!
If I join the air Force reserve do you stay in base in weekends or you go home
Hey Zakk it depends how far away from the base you live. I believe if you're over 50 miles from your home base you'll be staying on base for the weekend. But I guess it might also depend if you're on tour or not with Ozzy or Black Label Society.
@@erikminamihata I live in San Antonio 10 min away from the base ..how long do you stay each day there I'm a linguists just want to have an idea .. thank you
@@ZakkOWylde1 it depends on wing and afsc . Have you started working with your recruiter yet?
@@erikminamihata yes talk to TSgt Segura a month ago m studying the ASVAB now and I just turn 39 yo
@@ZakkOWylde1 right on. You'll do great!!
I am 38 looking to join the Air Force and could use some friendly advice. Do you have some free time to talk? Can I PM you or do you have fb?
Absolutely. Hit me up on Instagram. I'm on facebook but don't check it that often.
@@erikminamihata thank you for the quick reply. I'll hit you up on Instagram. Take care and God bless!
Can you still become an officer if you join ay 39?
In the Air National Guard you can but you'll need to be prior enlisted first. I believe that age limit increased to 50. Double check with your recruiter but I think that's the case right now.
"Ya know..."
What’s your job in the Air Force Erik?
Hey Mik4. Non Destructive Inspection
Erik never heard of it 😂.
i am 38...want to join. So it is possible! what should I focus on
Definitely get with a recruiter and get the ASVAB and physical taken care of. Let them know you're serious. Once you get all that squared away start working on your PT. Let me know how it goes!
@@erikminamihata okay
Is it feasible to be in the guard and teach school?
Absolutely. Just know that you will be away from home and work for a while to attend basic training and tech school. Once you're in your career though you'll be good to go. Which job were you looking into?
@@erikminamihata thanks for the information. Planning and Programing or Logistics
@@cederickhall4267 Awesome! Both are cool. Keep me updated on your progress!
@@erikminamihata thanks!
What career did you end up choosing?
Hey Andre - I went with NDI
@@erikminamihata nice, that AFSC is on my job list. Would love to hear any insight you can share!
What job you train for at tech school?
Hey Oscar NDI
@@erikminamihata no way I currently work on NDI in the LA area. thinking about airforce . How long was tech school ?. Did you train in ultrasonic inspection . What methods did you learn ?

@@erikminamihata Gotcha. I think I hit send on an email to you at the same time you responded to my comment. Thanks in advance.
@@timfridsma Thanks for the heads-up!
Whats the oldest you can join the military 🤔
I think it's 41 now for certain branches like the Navy and Coast Guard. Not 100% sure but definitely look into it
@@erikminamihata i already did but thanks mate 👍
Idk
You don’t look 39 👀 are you Hispanic or Filipino?
Ha! Thanks! I'm actually super mixed. 1/4 Japanese 1/4 Black 1/2 Italian.
I'd do it if they paid me $36k plus all the benefits.
