I have this problem for more than 10 years now and all those fancy shampoos only help when you actually use them (I've got to mention that not every one of them works for everyone and some make it even worse actually). My point is that when you stop using them even after 1-2 years, the dermatitis just comes back again as it was before. Unfortunately I haven't found the real treatment for this yet and neither have dermatologist, from what I can see.

Omg legit coconut oiled my scalp just to wash it and be 10x worse. It’s so itchy and embarrassing especially on hair line

I use Nizoral shampoo and is really effective. From time to time (especially during season changing, i.e. january and may) even with the shampoo I still have very acute crisis, but generally speaking my quality of live has improved significantly. It's a lot more manageable now, and I even have week with literally zero itchiness. I strongly suggest you to try it.

Coconut oil is good if you have inflammation, but it pretty much just sits on your scalp.

I found that medicated shampoo makes it worse, from over 40years,of dealing with it,and a system detox helped me also.

And if all else fails. Cause ive been dealing with it for 20 years, and JUST GOT RELIEF. been to at least 10 dermatologist. But they kept giving me things to wash my hair with Every DAY, WHICH US AFO TEXTURED GALS CANT! I ordered DERMAZEN which is expensive 149 for the complete set, but with just one of the products over two days, ive seen and felt a difference. I havent even used the shampoo or other 3 items. So it worked for me.

The best thing is short hair, and cleans with a clarifying shampoo, with no sulfite.

Any natural remedies? I don’t want to always resort to western medicine for these type of things. I know an anti-inflammatory diet can be helpful. What about topical solutions?
