BELIEVE ME. Accutane really CURES sbd, only after 4-5 months it comes back. I think the KEY of the PERMANENT treatment of sbd is in the accutane. Maybe we must find the right dosage to cure sbd permanently or maybe accutane includes some ingredients which manage the oil in skin and kill sbd…WE must do research and understand how accutane kills sbd for 4-5 months (maybe a big dosage can cure it permanently?), where is the key my dears?. We must understand this. I wanna remind you ISOTROTEIN CURES ACNE ( it was said that acne also doesn't have a treatment because it is chroric, but as we see isotrotein cures acne permanently), and the reason of Acne is also the excess oil of the skin.. let's discuss and understand how accutane works on sbd and which dosage may kill sbd forever.. tell your dermatologists about it and and think together, we don't have right to stop

Been dealing with this for 13 years, I'm 26 now. It sucks, it comes and goes. But it's not life-ending, you can still have a good life, you can still go out and have fun even though you might not feel like it sometimes because of how it looks at that moment. Accept it, try what you can to keep it down. If you get low self-esteem, do other things to better your body. No one is perfect, and this is just one of our flaws, you will find people in your life that will accept you for who you are and not give it any attention when you get flareups. Cheer up, this doesn't get much better, but life in general will, I promise.

I didn't believe it would actually work but over six months of using it and not putting any kind of hair products in my hair, it finally cleared up. I was so happy to have my scalp back to normal. My infected scalp oozed greenish stuff for months and months. I regret not using it when I first got the symptoms. It's been 22 years since I had it and I swear by this product. It works and is affordable. I saw a dermatologist which charged me over a thousand dollars and nothing ever helped. Thank God for the product clearing that gunk out of my scalp.

I was using coal tar shampoo daily and still had stuff growing in my ears, behind my ears and on my face and scalp. Then for other reasons, I did an 84-hour water fast and the Seborrhoeic Dermatitis is just gone. It has been about 2 months and I'm just using regular shampoo and it's still just gone. Scalp dermatitis was the symptom that drove me to the Doctor's who, after a thyroid screen, diagnosed me with Hashimoto's Hypothroidism. I highly suggest getting a thyroid screen to check TSH level, T4 level, and antibodies. When you have an autoimmune problem and your hormone levels have gone asunder, this sort of ailment can really happen. The suggestions for treatment on this video are good. Nizoral and Selsun Blue Double strength are very good and also Tar shampoos. However, the way I really got this under control is actually quite simple: Onions. I make a paste of chopped onions plus a few drops of Oregano or Clove oil and blend it in the blender making a paste. Put this on your scalp for at least 1 hour. No more itching at all. Onions are high in sulphur which is the basic compound of many of these shampoos. It's antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral.

Since shampoo with zinc seems to control my dandruff pretty well, I thought I would try a zinc lotion that comes in a tube on my face where I also have mild outbreaks. It turned out to work better than I expected. After shampooing my hair, I use the zinc lotion on my scalp, and it doubles as a hair conditioner. I also apply the zinc lotion to problem areas on my face. I can now go several days without washing my hair, whereas before I had to wash it with dandruff shampoo every day. Also, I no longer need to use steroid cream on my face and use the zinc lotion instead with great results.

When I cut out wheat, gluten, and sugar, mine got ALOT better, especially if you’re a man and you have this in your beard like I did. Also, using tea tree products helped a lot too. I mainly eat meats and vegetables now, I rarely eat any carbs anymore and absolutely no sugars as they will feed the yeast/fungus that causes this. I also only wash my face with a gentle cleanser only like 2x a week now, other days I only use water, also I quit taking super hot showers as this was 100% agitating the condition! Take showers or bathe in lukewarm water or even cold water, yeah I know it sounds like that sucks but after a few days you get used to it and you’ll see a massive improvement. Living with this is so frustrating I know, but some simple lifestyle changes can make a massive improvement without spending hundreds of dollars at the dermatologist and on prescription creams and treatments. Pay attention to your gut health as well and get some good prebiotics and probiotics.

Having suffered for a number I have recently worked out what I think caused mine. Dermatologists have told me that it was due to stress and I have always said I don’t really have stress in my life. However I recently discovered that I have probably been suffering from metabolic stress.
For a number of years I have been drinking coffee a lot of it and strong. My coffee machine broke a short while ago and I have been drinking less. Now at the same time I have also had symptoms which suggest a B12 deficiency or Folate (B9) deficiency. Well I got tested for active B12 (doctor won’t do this they only do a misleading Serum B12 test) and a folate test where I was at the bottom of the scale but in normal territory. So all is well, well not really. It turns out that drinking lots of fresh coffee, more than around 110g of beans a day (and I was using probably 150-200g) can cause high levels of Homocysteine within the Methylation cycle which can cause a number of unwanted symptoms. It doesn’t matter wether it is caffeinated or decaf coffee the caffeine isn’t thought to be the culprit in raising Homocysteine levels. Just in case and to give my body the best chance of recovery I have started to supplement with good quality B12 and B9 supplements in the form the body can absorb. There are conditions which affect the body being able to absorb both these vitamins correctly so best to use the versions the body actually needs. For more information check out the pernicious anaemia society website.
Your mileage may vary but I would suggest that people get their folate and active B12 levels checked and maybe even Homocysteine and MMA (methylmalonic acid) especially if the have any other symptoms of a B vitamin deficiency, you may just find out it clears your skin condition.

I’ve just started to deal with this within the last couple years at 37 years old. I’ve never had any prior skin issues. I didn’t even really get acne other than a zit here or there. I know they’re likely unrelated, but felt that was relevant to the discussion.
Mine appears in my eyebrows, in-between my eyebrows and on my eyelids. My eyebrows get the most flaky, with the scales being fairly thick and hurt to pull on. At first I thought it was just dry skin so I started using moisturizer every day after the shower. It comes and goes.
At the moment, I’m in Rhode Island for the holidays (I live in SWFL) and it’s really flared up. My mom suggested using baby oil and, while it does kind of soak in and cover up the appearance of my skin, I know it’s not doing anything to really help it.
I appreciate all of the comments on this video and the support I see people showing each other. It’s also nice to read about some different remedies that people have found success with. I was unaware of many of them.
Hope everyone has a great New Year and can figure out how to deal with SD!

My father has it too but it doesn't flare up for him anymore like it used to back in his teenage days. This condition sadly has no cure, you need to keep managing it through medications and you also need to manage your diet. Stop consuming sugary foods and high carb food, it will help. Also avoid steam baths, always shower with cold water. Don't use rough towels to rub your face after showers. Use some kind of soft thin clothed towel or paper instead. Use moisturizer on a daily basis. If you follow these tips, you can keep it under control and it won't become visible on your face. But if you become complacent and not follow the routine, it will come back and most of the times it's worse than the last time.

Try MCT Oil combined with Black Seed Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Avocado Oil and maybe also Argan Oil instead of Nizoral. I switched to this Method after a few months of using Nizoral Shampoo and my Scalp feels better than ever. Wash your hair 2-3x a week with these Oils and leave it always in for like 30-45 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water. Never ever use hot water.

Just wanted to add: Seborrheic Dermatitis can sometimes look like psoriasis, psoriasis can be serious and even life threatening in rare cases, a third of people with psoriasis could develop into psoriasis arthritis. Don't self diagnose your skin condition as Seborrheic Dermatitis and think it's 'harmless', it could well be psoriasis, go see a doctor just to be safe.

I use it when i shower, not only washing my hair, but spreading it all over my face and into my ears. I allow it to sit for a couple minutes before rinsing it off. I use this shampoo 4-5 times a week and the Seborrheic Dermatitis is completely under control and my face is clear. HERE IS HOW TO FIX IT (From someone that suffers from this severely)
I have only ever found one treatment that works perfectly and it is not anti-fungal creams. I have tried countless anti-fungal creams as well as moistures, which never did much good.
What you are going to want to do -
Order dead sea salt (it has to be dead sea salt) online and MCT oil that does not contain lauric acid (C12), as this will make it worse.
Take a few spinkles of dead sea salt and add it to a bowl of warm water water so that it dissolves.
Smear that on the affected areas of your face and leave for 1-2mins then rinse off with cold water.
After this, dry your face off and moisturise with MCT oil.
In the beginning i did this daily, then eventually only had to do it weekly. Now I only have to do this ever fortnight or so and it keeps it away completely. Other people have only had do to it a few times for the condition to never appear again. I urge anyone who is reading this to try it!! It has improved my quality of life and sounded ridiculous when I first heard of it, but here i am recommending it. 🙂
I would also like to note that 1kg dead sea salt lasts me about a year and one bottle of MCT oil much longer.

My celiac disease was very sensitive, and they tried to get inflammation down any way they could. It was during this time I learned that it was well know in dietary health that Dairy is one of the most inflammatory foods and after that Sugar. When inflammation in the gut goes down, the gut can better absorb nutrients and better supply the body with what it needs. The scalp is an area heavily impacted by gut inflammation. Integrative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic did a fabulous job at helping me figure out my gut inflammation and fixing it through diet. I can’t say my hair is ever sticky, but it does get oily and I seem to react to my own oil. I have to shower once every day to wash the oil away. I also can’t sleep on wet hair because I am high in yeast and the dampness causes an increase when slept on overnight. Sleep with dry hair and wash pillow case (if not all sheets) frequently, my ideal is every weekend. I use ketoconozole right now for the yeast/fungus and it definitely relieves the pain and further redness (easy to get Rx from primary care doctor without appointment pick up at CVS). It doesn’t take away the condition, as my scalp still feels uneven and not smooth, but the pain and itching is gone whenever I use ketoconozole shampoo and leave it on my scalp for 3-5 mins before rinsing. If i eat dairy, I have to use the shampoo more frequently and even apply a tiny bit to my scalp dry before sleeping so I can sleep and won’t wake up with pain or itching. Eating dairy makes the shampoo have to work harder haha

At the time I was in my last year of university, and it stayed pretty much the same size throughout the year. It got worse when I started working, only 1 year later it already covered the hairline on the left side of my forehead, luckily my fringe still covered it.
I went to see a dermatologist, he prescribed me some topical cream and a shampoo.
It was better only when I use the cream. He said it's steroid based cream so I must not use it on regular basis. Only when the sebderm acts up.
Now, the red patch has grown to the point it covers the entire hairline on my forehead and the back of my ears. I feel so embarrassed I barely do my hair since I'm worried people would see what's under it.

    Dear friends
I will share with you a way of how to get rid of this plague for good. Stick to this steps and is should be gone completely in 2 weeks. Everything you need is available in shops or online so you don't need any prescription.
    1. Wash your hair and infected areas with Head and Shoulders clinical strenght. Apply a little and massage into infected spots. Leave on for 5 minutes. The colder the water the better. Don't wash your face or infected areas with hot water - big no.
    2. After step 1 while your skin is still moist apply hyaluronic acid onto your skin. Put some onto your fingers and massage into your skin. If you have dermatisis on your face apply all over your face not just onto the infected areas.
    3. After the hyaluronic acid is absorbed (wait at least 10 minutes) apply salycic acid. Few drops on cotton pad and apply to infected areas.
    3. Do not eat bakery breads or or dough. Anything that contains yeast. Yeast helps the infection to grow.
    4. Try to cut or reduce dairy products.
I hope that this helped you. Please let me know :)

Hi I have similar conditions on my face I have constant itching & flaky skin all over my face near eye brows, below the eyes, chin, cheeks, upper lips (below now the nose/mustache area) & behind my ear . Also if I apply any moisturizing cream it dries up very quickly. I try to resist itching but sometimes it very hard to resist & then wounds appear on my face after scratching
I am using some medicines & creams suggested by doctor here are some medicines provided "Lesoir Le Hydra moisturizing lotion" , "Nevsoft Cetyl Alcohol & Stearyl Alcohol Lotion face cleanser" & "Bilanix Forte Bilastine 40mg tablets" but I am not getting any relief. Can you kindly suggest if these are correct medicines given by the doctor for my skin issue. Kindy suggest & request you to please help 🙏 & provide a correct face cream or any cleaner I am really frustrated I am from India. I tried to search the Antifungal cream you suggested in the above video but could not find it here. Please reply

I had the worst routine during my college days, I used hairdryer for 2 year nearly 3-4days a week. That cause my scalp to dry as desert and after that I was facing problem of dandruff. Because of dandruff I used shampoo every time when I bath and after that use hot hair blow. Absolut stupidity I had done.
Now it's. Been nearly 2-3 year if suffering from sebo dermatitis lose nearly 50-100 hair every day, and this thing hount me everyday.

I’ve just recently started getting this in my beard really bad, it’ll be flakes peeling and then bleeds/scabs up but goes away. I had Alopecia on my head in 2014 but went away and has never returned, are these related?

Was the alopecia from scalp caused seborrheic dermatitis? SD can cause head hair loss that returns

Go to a doctor and get prescription strength medication and shampoos or shave your beard off so you can apply ointment to your skin directly.

My 10 yr old son has this. It staryed out of nowhere when we was 7 and its been a struggle. I have had dermatologists bascially twll me that there is nothing more they can do. He has tried every cream out there. He is currently on Dupixent, and even that hardly helps. He gets breakouts around his mouth, and they become very infected and red.
It has created so much social anxiety for him. 😢

I had the worst case of this!
My scalp was fully inflamed . The back of my neck had this and the tops of my ears as well…
I also had dermatitis in my face elbows ankle and top of foot
It is now cleared 95% with flare ups only when I get lazy to be strict on this list I’m about to mention..
I cut as much sugar out of my life as possible !
I bough apple cider vinegar mixed it with one part water and put it in a spray bottle … with a rat comb I would move my hair in sections and soak and rub it in my scalp.
I then used selsun blue shampoo when I first started my journey and on bad flare up days….then once cleared enough I use clearifying shampoo once a week and absolutely no parabienes sulfate in my shampoo
I only use aveeno fragrance free body wash and lotion
    Hypoallergenic laundry detergent
No perfume on skin only clothes
I do not eat pork, I noticed for me it’s a trigger. No sugar. I have prescribed steroid cream .
And on bad flare ups I drink OTC Zyrtec

Just wanted to ask a few questions: a)the image used at the beginning of the video, would that not be plaque psoriasis (grey and scaly rather than yellow and oily like in s.dermatitis)? B)s. Dermatitis has no positive family history unlike plaque psoriasis. C) s.dermatitis is only mildly itchy or non at all, otherwise it could be atopic dermatitis (in kids). Just wanted to clarify these 😊 (final year pharmacy student)

All these are basically skin infections from damaged dermal layer. Microorganism(s) get in and wrong treatments and common products make it worse.

I have SD. Myself and many other people with it use apple cider vinegar (ACV) to treat it. I have been using it for years now and it works very well. If you want to know more, just ask 😊

    • @brendanoconnor9196

@@sandramacdonald7764 Every night before bed, I put one tea spoon of water and one of ACV in a mug, so 50/50 mix. Then drop a cotton pad in and let it soak it up. Then apply all over inc eye brows etc! Depending on how our skin is, you may want to start with a weaker solution! Maybe 70/30 water and build up from there! It doesn't work for everyone, but I have been using it for years to great effort 👏

I was told I have this but it came out of no where. Last year. I had two roommates that worked in medical facilities and I, myself, did rideshare full time. At some point, I had to shower at Truck stops and they were all pretty dirty.. I think I contracted this "Seborrheic dermatitis" duringthat time.

I don’t know for sure 100% if this is what I have but it looks a lot like it and gets bad when I eat lots of bread or drink alcohol. If I stop eating bread and drinking it clears up pretty quickly. I’ve let it get pretty bad lately so it’s taking a long time to clear up. I also use selsun blue medicated to burn it off then I use Cerave to keep it from drying out and flaking. It’s all over my face and beard. It’s pretty embarrassing and I’m not the kind of person to get embarrassed over stuff like that usually but sometimes it’s bad. Dandruff looking flakes in my eyebrows, face, beard, little bit on my scalp. I hate it. I have so many other medical problems I don’t give this one enough attention but it’s not fun. Diet is the #1 thing that helps it and I’m stressed all the time which makes it worse and makes my diet worse.

I had SD for over 20 years and controlled it with mostly mild steroids and anti dandruff shampoo but mine completely disappeared within one week after going on a very low carbohydrate diet (less than 20g per day). No bread, rice, sugar etc. it’s remarkable. I don’t use any steroids now or anti dandruff shampoo. I know of others where eliminating carbs did the same thing. So, I’d say this : western medicine has not got the complete picture about SD.

I strongly believe that it is caused by a reaction to some pesticide thats sprayed on rice and wheat. Maybe glyphosate.
