- Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease causing suffering in millions of people around the world. Even the worst psoriasis can be improved by avoiding the 7 things I discuss in this video. In psoriasis, your immune system is NOT over-active, it is inflamed & confused. Eliminating these 7 things from your life will help your immune system calm down and come to its senses.
You want your immune system to be very strong and to know exactly what is You, and what is non-You. Only when you eliminate these 7 things from your system can your immune system calm down and do a better job. You are currently poisoning your immune system with these 7 things, and your immune system is causing Psoriasis in return.

Thanks for your support .. our tradition eat Rice and what.. but I herd any plant food like grains or not good for psoriasis.. can you please let me know any other supplements to have instead of grains..
U said to avoid wheat but most of the food produced by wheat 🌾 I am from india hear wheat and rice is the main food ,could u please tell me ur suggestion to what should I eat instead of grains
srinivasulu and Akshay, I follow Sahil at Headbanger's Kitchen on RUclips, and he uses cauliflower rice for times when he wants that vibe. He also has several flatbread videos, some of them with flours that are not nuts or grains. Plus, he's closer to you and probably understands better what will satisfy you. I hope that helps.

Dr Berry my wife's friend from child hood lived in Camden TN and she had a lot of terrible doctors who did not care about her. She was in the hospital there and you were her doctor. She said you were the only doctor that showed any care for her. I wanted to personally thank you for your compassion. She passed recently.

The research shows there are 8 triggers for psoriasis: alcohol, smoking, inflammatory diet, stress, fatty liver disease and excess weight and viral activity. I spent 11 years trying to figure out how to clear/cure/get rid of my psoriasis. Not knowing what the research says on how to effectively treat psoriasis naturally. So I made a video called "How to treat psoriasis according to science - How I cleared my psoriasis". You can click on "align and inspire" (my channel name) to see it. I have been clear (no symptoms) for 4 years now. Love to my psoriasis family.
Seeing all these comments about psoriasis makes me feel more comfortable, I was scared being the only one with weird spots on my body, After reading so many comments i feel really good knowing there are people out here who got the same problem !~
Nah bro I got em too don’t worry lmao
You are not alone... I am here with you... 🥺

I have had psoriasis on and off for 47 years. Still treating and trying.
Best video ever Dr. Berry. I am having a super bad problem and I know what you address in this video is going to help me tremendously. Thank you so much for this video and taking the time to help us sort this problem out! I had made an appointment with a specialist and will cancel my appointment!!
I had severe psoriasis covering both legs below the knee for more than 20 years. Neither had seen sunshine for just as long. I started a strict keto carnivore diet solely for weight loss on July 1st 2021. Today is October 11th 2021 (2 1/2 months) and my psoriasis is completely gone with the exception of a small patch about the size of a dime on my left leg - all with NO medication. Hallelujah!
My whole body is covered with it, After reading so many comments about a keto diet i will def try it

I got rid of my psoriasis by accident. Went off all sugar and carbs for thyroid and psoriasis went away. Took about 3 weeks.
Excellent! Please Share your story with all in need!
Rachel McNicol,
Can you please share what has cured you? I never had Psoriasis but one of my niece's and one of my nephew's son also has it so I know about it. Thank you and God bless.
My psoriasis is only back of head, Ive had it only 2 years, after healing thyroid, heart and other problems, so not sure why I got it now
I believe its caused by Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity....NCGS
SO THAT MAKES SINCE ... IT CLEARED UP WHEN YOU WERENT EATING GLUTEN
Well as I said it was a by product of wanting to get rid of inflammation and clear out adrenals. I've had it since I was 11yrs old. All over my scalp and smaller patches on my face. I'm 49 now. I went strict keto and took 250,000 iu of serrapeptase on an empty stomach each night and a swig of olive leaf extract in the morning after brush teeth and voila! It was a friend who noticed first that I wasn't scratching all the time. And I suddenly checked all over and it was all gone. I'd been so focused on my other concerns I'd just not noticed. It's been 2 years now I've been completely clear. But if I have carbs or sweets it starts to come back. The serrapetase and olive leaf I do notice keeps it not as inflamed and tolerable but it's the sugars from foods that kicks it off. So I'm pretty strict.
I remember my dad's dermatologist said that psoriasis is a chronic multifactorial skin disease with no cure. The cause is unknown to medical science. He needs to change/try different drugs until he got it right for my dad. Nothing happen after years of trials.
I learned some low carb high fat for dad's diet. We surprised the dermatologist after less than a year of dieting.
Thanks Dr Ken!
Most doctors in the US do not believe in diet :/ that’s shame
Do you know if your father ever had anything like Strep Throat before?
I recently read a compendium of statements on WebMD about dozens of diseases, and every single one said 'doctors don't know what causes xxxxx, but this or that pharmaceutical can help relieve the symptoms of xxxxx." Pharma took over medicine decades ago [they actually started the AMA simply to trick doctors to prescribe their useless & DANGEROUS products.] It's one of the biggest scams running on the planet!

NEEDED THIS INFO. SO BAD!! my 12 yr old nephew went away last summer, came back for school by August at least 20 pounds heavier and his skin was horrible! After inquiring found out he had a fun summer of eating a bunch of snack cakes and drinking dark sodas all day every day. Hard to keep him from scratching. Went out and bought all the lotions and soaps to bathe in but in the back of my mind I figured it had more to do with his eating. Thank you!!
I had psoriasis flare up out of nowhere at 13, was just standard dandruff looking up until a couple years ago when it’s started affecting my face and it looked real bad, then last year I started avoiding anything dairy related and within a couple weeks there was a massive difference

Now my dad has it bad he has it bad he drinks 2 large glasses milk and wheat toast with peanut butter and honey every day and a of wheat bran Graham cereal with more milk and bananas so he is making his condition worse?

1. Tabacco products

#8 should be BLACK MOLD. I suffered with hardcore psoriasis for 6 years and tried everything my doctors could think of. I almost went insane. Then I started remodeling my bathroom and found a lot of black mold behind my shower walls. I had it all professionally removed and all my symptoms disappeared in a week. Black mold poisoning is only occasionally mentioned in psoriasis literature so even doctors tend to forget/overlook it. If nothing’s working for you, have your home tested for mold. It only takes a day and a couple hundred bucks. I hope this helps somebody.
So I have been psoriasis free for years, and I have noticed when I leave my house for a week or so I get a little bit of black mold on the inside of the toilet. This may be what is causing my psoriasis to come back after these years. Thanks for the tip.
Can support this. When I was young we had mold growing in our home. I I had these patches that itched and felt like needles constantly fucking me up. We got rid of it an poof, no more patches. Fast forward - went to the Marine Corps and my psoriasis NEVER showed its face. When I got out, started a family and got a home it came back. Took a peek behind our shower aaaaannnd you guessed it, mold. Got rid of it and poof, no more patches.. gotta be something here lol
Hello, I suffer from psoriasis, what should I do?!!!
if that is true, this is very special and the world need to know this. Could it really be that simple? And why would psoriasis attack only hands and feets? or other parts specific of the body? weird if true...
@@jessikapiche6097 black mold creates a myotoxcin that damages the liver. There’s a well-documented correlation between psoriasis and various liver conditions such as alcoholic and fatty liver disease. Mine wasn’t located only on my hands, but all over my back, scalp, and legs. This isn’t meant to be the end-all cause of a complex autoimmune condition, just one of many factors that could trigger the problem.
Clear and to the point! A true gift to humanity - thank you, Doctor Ken!! 😀
Just want to say thank you for taking the time to give me the info I so desperately needed.
I’ve been telling my husband all of this for YEARS!! Thank you…..cause now there is someone else telling him the same thing!

My dear husband had terrible psoriasis, all of his life, he was hospitalized, he had special baths, soaps, ointment ,heat/ sun treatments. He smoked and also drank beer. Then he got terminal lung cancer, and his psoriasis disappeared. Nothing on his body... now I realise that he gave up smoking and drinking beer when he was so ill. This makes perfect sense. We had read about some of these " triggers" , but he wouldn't/ couldn't give them up until he was so ill. I was totally convinced that his cancer, and this immune system were linked in some manner.
My gramps had the same, altho his psoriasis went away after chemo. So it might be that. Did some google search, turns out there are some sort of chemo therapy for psoriasis, but I'm guessing it's not cheap, nor easily available for us peasants :/

My uncle would, drink, smoke and was diabetic eating donuts and cake alot to stress eat, his psoriasis was horrible.
Lucky he got cancer and the cancer saved him because it forced him to eat healthy & exercise with better sleep. Fixed pretty much everything even the cancer got fixed with treatment.
Unfortunately he passed away because after getting cured he went back to his habbits and got in a worse situation that finally was too much.
Thank you, I had figured out some out the diet but your outline gives me the full picture. Greatly appreciated👌💜
1. Tobacco products
2. Sugar
3. Grains (All grains, not just wheat)
4. Alcohol
5. Seed Oils (they are chemically made in factories)
6. Dairy (it’s not the fat, it’s the lactose)
7. Night Shades (plants)

I don’t have psoriasis but THIS information feels like it will also help or possibly eliminate IBS or gut issues as well. Thanks 🙏🏽 🌞
Going carnivore over 4 years ago knocked my psoriasis down but not completely out. After summer was over and my exposure to sunlight went down to virtually nil until the following spring was the worst time. This was a yearly cycle I noticed improvement this past fall when I notched up my vitamin D intake to keep my immune system up for cold and flu season. The “duh” light went on over my head - vitamin D deficiency !!! I did a bit of research and it turns out most people are severely vitamin D deficient. I went up ton10,000 IU a day and have seen incredible improvement in my skin. Look into it …
It’s a fat soluble vitamin you need animal fats to help. Tallow, Butter, lard etc all high in Vit D
Client of mine with serious psoriasis stumbled on some actual research on Vit D. He tried it himself and I watched his visible patched disappear over 5 or 8 weeks, iirc. I should try it myself. After I completely comply with Dr. Ken's list here.
Thanks Doc for trying. You probably have a point or few to make . In my opinion: There are simply too many variables in a diet that cannot be controlled to pin down to the ones you mentioned as probable causes. I had Psoriasis from age 45 to around 60. Used Salicylic products by the kilogram. Mysteriously disappeared even after I stopped medication. Never smoked and limited alcohol to wine and beer. But changed my lifestyle to active, attending gym, weight lifting (and still do at the age of 70) and cutting back on alcohol, grains, seed oil and sugar almost 99% and avoiding highly processed foods. And psoriasis is history.
What is seed oil
@@sherlyrajan1235 Canola, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil.... He tells that in the video.
The topical steroid. Helped some small spots get better but made 4 spots get worse

The gold bond helps with the itching
Doctor said eat more fruits and vegatables and put valseline on it

I use pine tar soap
But going back to other black kind
Ivory soap dry skin out

Thank you thank you thank you a million times for explaining psoriasis so simply. I have suffered so much from autoimmune disorders for so long and I have always tried to fight my psoriasis without fully understanding just how it worked. This is so very interesting - thank you Dr. When my son was in elementary school, he had difficulty sitting still and we tried a course of Ritalin with terrible side effects. We then took him to a pediatrician who was also a clinical ecologist and allergy specialist. We learned that our son was terribly allergic to corn, sugar, wheat and some other foods that I don't really remember. We followed a strict diet, but relatives thought it was hogwash. They actually proved that the diet worked, because son was horrible after being fed garbage. As a teenager, the diet went by the wayside and psoriasis appeared with a vengeance. He now has psoriatic arthritis and takes biologics when it gets too terrible. I am going to ask him to watch your videos. He can start by eliminating corn and grains, which were a problem before.
As someone suffering this disease I’m sure he will take this advice in a heart beat
I have had psoriasis since I was 14 years old and so far I have visited many doctors and their recommendations were different which made me confused about this disease.
@ Carole Anne By chance was your son born by C-section? I read years ago, then was confirmed by my functional medicine Dr., that babies who aren't born vaginally have more allergies and autoimmune issues because they do not get the microbes and flora via the mothers birth canal that helps protect the child to keep them healthy and fight disease... It makes complete sense to me!
Ritalin is a amphetamine. A drug
I quit eating corn decades ago when a friend raised a steer for food and they fattened it up before slaughter by feeding it corn!
Thank you for sharing your suggestions .
I can not thank you enough. I watched this today and it finally made sense why my dog was so broken out. You are so much better than the veterinarian. They put my dog a strong allergy pill for 2 yrs. Then it stopped working. I've been reading , trying several different things. She gets better than worse. Its the oatmeal ,bananas, cheese , etc. Thankyou sooooo much ,now it makes sense and what a difference already.
My former boss's dog had the same problem. Treating the dog's allergies cost a fortune and the allergies continued to get worse. I suspect that my boss and his wife finally euthanized their dog when his own health became so bad and the costs of covering all medical bills was too much. Besides the dog was suffering.
I used safflower oil for about a week, I got such a flare up. It was awful.

I agree with all of this having had scalp psoriasis for 15 years and it’s extremely controllable with diet, especially gluten and dairy however nobody EVER talks about the emotional component of all of these conditions. Very important to address the emotional root cause as well. I find hypnosis and the tapping method has tremendously helped me in this regard as well as energy healing.

The thing that reduced my Psoriasis to a massive degree was Lecithin granules, 3 teaspoons a day, plus a change in diet, I still have some patches, 1 on my leg and on my scalp. Looking through these threads there are plenty of people who got rid of psoriasis on a clean keto diet. You can do it too. Good luck.
All right. Ill try this today.
I will get back to you.
If you want to get to the meat of the message go to 8:46. I got type 2 diabetes end of October. I had quit a lot of what you said and others did not apply to me. But I have seen a major difference in over two months. My type two diabetes has reversed since the as well. God bless!
8:45 is why you are here for.
Here's the summary.
Things to avoid
1. Tobacco and products
2. Sugar and products
3. Grain (all types of grains/ gluten)
4. Alcohol
5. Seed oils (canola, soy bean, sunflower, walnut oil, peanut oil etc. Seed oils with High omega 6 to omega 3 ratio)
6. Dairy and products (lactose, inflammatory inducing dairy proteins)
7. Night shades (potatoes, tomatoes, egg plants etc)
So unfortunately you can’t do anything
What’s left to eat?? 😫
@@bellecabello3762 😂😂 I was thinking the same !
In other words, eat clean keto.
@@yousraatfi3287 You can eat pure ice😆 i think it is just wastage of time. Diet has not impact.
Thank you so much for this. My husband suffers from psoriasis, but my daughter is covered head to toe with it. She has had it since she was 2 years old. We improved it greatly a few years back when we went keto, but over the years we have slipped back into the bad habits. I am trying my best to heal our family inside out. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Please do boost your diet with zinc...I suffer eczema...which is not far from psoriasis since they are having both allergic rxnz.
The inflammations are due to lack of zinc, and zinc in the diet at good levels, has good antiinflammatory properties.
Supplement your diet with pumpkin seeds...it's dense in zinc.
Also, ensure u get a diet rich in omega three...foods like Nile perch fish, crabs, oysters and salmon will boost ur omega three levels, which boost skin healing process from inflammation.
Another thing, the gut requires good level of lactobacillus bacteria to function well.
Ensure you incorporate a supplement of this bacteria.
Speaking to you, am seriously incorporating high zinc food in my system and omega three and I am improving.
Also, if you see improvement after one month...you can get back to normal and completely have your psoriasis cured, as long as u boost mineral supplement as zinc, omega three in the diet
So its not tobacco product or alcohol product
My son also had it...we took him to indian ayurvedic medicines which cured him...pls try
@@sutkos3288in don't think tobacco or alcohol

Reasonable?
Or cheap?

Thank you very much, my knees, elbows and scalp become much much better. The short name of our problem is leaky gut.
Totally agree with you, I was trying to tell Doctors this 40 years ago, wow I'm getting old!
Golden information as always. Thank you!!!
I was on vacation overseas and avoided dairy like the plague for 4 weeks and my psoriasis cleared up better than any medication or cream I've ever been on. Food journaling has also revealed problems with nightshade vegetables for me and my psoriatic arthritis. Red meat has been horrible for my digestion, with grains, even the "healthy" ones not far behind. I highly recommend food journaling along with symptom journaling. It's the kind of thing you have to see to believe sometimes.
How are you doing now? Is your psoriatic arthritis very painful ? How it's affecting your life?
It's not the read meat that's the issue, it's that your body is screwed up and you cant handle the most easily digestible food on the planet. I eat 3 pounds of meat a day and Ive never felt better
Thank You for your Good Work
Dr. Ken Berry wrote a book that helped my father get off statins… and his health has greatly improved! Thank you Dr. Berry!!
Hey Dr. B....great advise...my whole family keto/carnivore for a little less than a year...started for my daughter, she takes seizures and prefer to control it by diet...we have all lost stubborn weight and my daughter's ezema's is gone...by the way, you're looking great, younger everyday!
Thank you for saying that the immune system is confused rather than the body is attacking itself!

I have PsA. I have been on a biologic infusion for a year. Within two treatments my skin was clear and the pain in my joints was almost completely gone. I began eliminating sugar and carbs about 6 months ago and have lost 26 pounds. I just found this video so I am hoping I will be able to stop these infusions.
Hy..... Pls say me how u cured?
@@sagarsoni3302 I wouldn't say I am cured so much as under control. My doctor hasn't given me a time line to stopping the infusions. She said its too soon.
Sorry whats bio infusion..kind tq.
@@OrgKgTV a type of treatment that uses substances made from living organisms to treat disease.
I've suffered a lot from acute skin problems - eczema, psoriasis, severe allergies. But after I stopped all dairy products I got better. I also notice that consuming tomatoes and aubergines makes my skin very itchy, so have stopped these. I feel much better
Thank you doctor. I"ve been dealing with psoriasis since I was 11 years old. I'm 51. Mine is doing really good except for 1 area. But my son oh my his legs, arms scalp. Breaks my heart. He is 26 years old.
I pray for your son 🙏
When you give up all those sugary foods like bread, potatoes, and pasta and start reading labels and limit your carb intake...Amazing things happen!!😊 Food is medicine it can work for you or against you!!
It's not really that food is medicine... It's just that a lot of food is poison... Once you get rid of the poisons and eat what we evolved to eat, your body can do wonders!! It's not the food making amazing things. It's you, take the credit!! :)
I did this and it worked aswell, lots of blueberries in smoothies aswell
Thank you for sharing.Very useful video.
Thank you very much this was very helpful
Thank you. This was so helpful.
I was diagnosed with psoriasis when I was 13. Through the years not one Dermatologist mentioned any of this. Topicals only that barely do much. I have also been researching LED light therapy for home use. Red and infrared are supposed to help with inflammation so it may be worth a try.
If u tried everything and not cured..try Ayurveda in India..go to Kerala and there are treatments there. It's a 30 day program. I am not working there or advertising. I have seen people get cured so I know it can be cured. U have nothing to lose. There are no harmful effects. Either it will work or it wont work..but u dont get any other harm.Yes, it's expensive to buy flight tickets and stay in India. But if you can afford that. It will be worth a try for you.
Same here. My dermatologist even got a bit defensive when I mentioned eating habits and said I could try to change my diet but it wouldn't make a difference. As per light therapy, it does work but, as the Dr said, we need to work on the causes and avoid the triggers. Not the symptoms
I just tell myself that I am allergic to sugar and grains. 14 months on keto and I feel good everyday.
and prevent pre diabetic
Great video! Thank you excited to try this !
I got Psoriasis when i got type 2 diabetes 4 years back stress gives me the flare ups too...i am just learning now...i also found benzelkonis chloride in a lot of cleaning and some hygiene products...caused it to flare up even more...i am on week 2 and the flare up... has gone down...will be cutting out sugar and lower my carbs more. Thank you so much for this amazing information ❤️
You are talking about my husband! I got him a book on how to cure psoriasis by John Pagano years ago. Basically said what you've said. My husband is now on biologics for it and it worries me those meds will take a serious toll on him. He doesn't see no sugar is the answer.
Pagano is the total opposite of keto. He recommends lower fat, vegetarian/low meat. This is why I find it all so confusing.

Dr. Berry you are a gem. Thanks for your sharings and videos.
this is all accurate information that I found to be true over the last 50 or so years. But when I forget, and do some of these things, it shows up.
