I just realized that my dandruff is gone. Not sure when exactly it disappeared but i've been low carb for a year now. I used to be able to stick my fingernail in my scalp and scratch huge chunks of dead skin. I'ts so disgusting to think about now but back then it was just one of many things i had accepted as normal.
So with that said does that mean that omega 9 and 6 faty acids increase cell production and thus shorten the duration of time thoughout someone's life and increase the speed in which the hayflick limit of a cell is reached and lead to faster rate to cancer?
@@normakarina5123 have you listened to the video? The Dr states in the video that a shampoo might relieve your symptoms temporarily, but won't get rid of the issue. I know because I have suffered from seborrheic dermatitis for many years and have tried almost everything out there. For starters, I would recommend a good high quality non toxic shampoo such as Pure Haven's Detox Charcoal shampoo or Moogoo's Milk Shampoo. Both have helped me. However after listening to his video, I am going low carb and implementing his suggestions. Hoping to soon be rid of this frustrating issue soon. Best of luck! :)
Recommendations start at 11:37! 1. Avoid vegetable oils 2. Avoid sugars, grains, & snacks 3.Expose to 5 min sunlight day at least 4. Take a good quality probiotic
Every single time I research the cause of my problems, it always goes back to my diet. It’s frustrating because we are indirectly killing ourselves. Most times when I travel to another country and eat there food, I instantly feel better. My skin clears up, I lose weight, don’t have stomach issues, etc. If I can’t afford to live in America, I’m going to have to make a plan and move
The cure to sebo is overall immune health, not skin alone. So many have cured by this method that no one knows. Also dont trust every doctor. Cure is : 1, positive no matter what, your body releases positive energy and frequency, viberations that helps heal and maintain your horomones. Stress also breaks down your body, and makes horomones imbalance. I have done everything below but never cured. Bc i didnt do number 1, which is the most important. 2, eat healthy such like strong fermented yogurt( for the gut) and fruits, meat, dairy(if you can eat) veg etc. No junk food. SEBO IS NOT ABOUT YOUR SKIN BARRIER ONLY. its about your gut and overall immune health. I dont perfer eating a lot of noodles and ramen. Also brain and horomonal health imbalance causes your body to eat up oil on face.(which is why sebo is made) Danderuff, severe acne and harden teeth plaque, tonsil stone, oral health, is all related to overall immune health. Flossing will not cure tartar in fact tartar doesnt come off with floss. Shampoo doesnt help with danderuff. Brain and horomone balance is important, Which is why number 1 is important. 3. Pray to god, and say only positive stuff to others. Theres a saying, where unhealthy body is telling your spirit something. Have Unhealthy oral?, say positive only through your mouth. Do not go to the dentist and take drugs unless its needed badly. But oral, danderuff, sebo needs to be cured by inner health and soul only. If you got harden plaque try taking it off at home with steel if can or take it out at dentist. Its gonna make months depending on how severe your sebo is. But there will be joy in the morning so trust and live a good livestyle. Any questions?
Overproduction of skin cells also includes rough, dry-looking skin that needs regular non-abrasive exfoliating. Consequently, too much dead skin cells is also a factor to clogged pores which results to acne.
He advised to cut all grains from your diet. Then what should I eat? I'm Indian and here every meal contain roti which is made of wheat or corn. How can I cut off all these stuff?
Decrease intake of carbohydrates and industrial vegetables seed oils. You’re the first doctor that is recommending me to change my diet instead of buying these expensive and toxic shampoos. Thanks Doc 👌🏼
I learned it was the quantity of food that I ate that caused my body stress, dryness and rashes are from stress. I was a huge binge eater, have learned to overcome it by still eating whatever I want but in the amount of whatever fits in the palm of my hand, every 2-3 hrs. I’m no longer hungry, I no longer crave, grazing has saved my own mind and body.
@@Viewer13128 Examples: breads, buns, rice, potatoes, cereals, canned foods, flour, sugars, natural sugars, gravy, pasta (noodles), junk foods like pop, juices, energy drinks, potato chips, fries, dips and sauces with sugars and carbs, fruits, legumes, milk, ice cream, puddings, etc. … if it isn’t a meat like beef, bison, poultry, fish, etc. or a healthy fat, then it is a carb/sugar. A good carb would be low carb, non-starchy vegetables, and dark green leafy salad greens. Avoid processed seed oils, margarine, shortening too. Use healthy fats.
@@Viewer13128 Ice berg lettuce has nearly no nutrients. I just use it in place of a bun when eating a burger; especially the very rare times I eat out. Since at home, I have forks, I don’t need it. There are so many varieties of greens. One can mix them and add other low carb vegetables and even meat like cubed chicken. Drizzle some quality olive oil (in a dark bottle) on top.
FINALLY a doctor who knows his stuff! Carbohydrates and dairy increase insulin which increases IGF-1. (Insulin like growth factor 1. ) Which in turn increases sebum production. Excess sebum production causes all of the problems. Once you stop eating carbs and dairy, insulin goes down , which in turn lowers IGF-1 which lowers sebum production. This results in clear skin. Finally a doctor who knows his stuff. Most doctors or dermatologists don’t know anything about the true cure. Because most are trained to just treat symptoms of diseases.
I saw most of your videos of all the illnesses I had 5 months ago. All my problems had the same answer low carb diet. I started keto my dandruff went away. I was to the point that my scalp was bleeding. I am still waiting for my nail fungus to clear 100%. My type 2 diabetes was so bad. I was losing my eyesight. I am so thankful for your RUclips videos that helped me make the decision to do keto. Thank you!!!!!!
Doc I wish I could just sit and have an hour long conversation with you and my parents. They don’t believe that you can fix so many problems by just changing your diet! Hands down my favorite RUclips channel🙌🏼
I showed my mom the film The Magic Pill and after watching it she said, "I don't ever want to go to a doctor. If I'm dying don't ever take me to a doctor!" xD so I told her okay good u like the movie and eating keto food, but u gonna go to the doctor if u need anything (but hopefully not cuz she'll be eating well) LMAO
I hear you. my whole family ridicules me for this. Easter dinner I brought my own veggies and keto bread etc cause they had all poison foods. You would think they would be happy for me but nope. They are overweight, my daughter borderline obese and they have the nerve to tell me that I need to gain weight and they are worried I am going to die from a heart attack etc. (all while they eat a super sugary cheese cake she made) All they do is complain cause I can't eat anything at their house (cause it all contains poison) they dont get it.

I have been Ketovore for 3 months. Reaping tons of benifits. Dandruff going away is not one of them. Maybe it's that I am in MN and don't get any sun. I was going to go buy an expensive house filter to remove chlorine today. This video saved me that money so I do appreciate that. Anyone else struggle with dandruff on keto/carnivore? Thanks I love all your videos Dr. Berry!
Honestly it might take some time. Initially I went low carb for the first time ever and lost the dandruff in a week and a half. Then I went on and off low carb and high carb for a year and a half. Then I decided to go carnivore. My dandruff got even worse but it finally left after 2 and a half weeks of consistent carnivore. It may take longer for some.
@@peterkell3388 I have a lot of dandruff too. I'm consuming rice daily but other than that I've been sugar free for the past 7 months. Can you suggest some more things I can include in my diet? I'm willing to try anything. I'm 22 yrs old.

FInally a doctor that doesn't sell products as a solution, but actually grants good advice. I have been struggling for years with seborroic dermatitis, and the skin specialist doctor here in Belgium even just raised his shoulders and said there's no cure... so glad I found this channel!
@@njsongwriter yup, it never really goes away. still trying different stuff, but also found out that, for me, stress is one of the main causes. cafeïne makes it worse aswell, since that heigtens cortisol levels (stress hormone). drinking enough water is a necessity and staying away from alcohol and sugar. I use Nizoral shampoo and used to effectively use nizoral creme but for some shitty reason they don't produce the cream anymore.. so i'm still looking for a substitute... try to stay away from cortizone creams because it weakens the skin and makes it thinner. same for hair. but in the end, sometimes I get stressed out (everyone does from time to time) and it just breaks out anyway... I guess we just have to live with it. aye, at least it doesn't hurt or incapacitate...
I have trouble giving health advice from youtube channels like this to my family and relatives, because they think any doctor recommending vitamins or supplements as a prevention or solution to any health problem is getting rich off of selling vitamins or supplements, so they just dismiss the advice as if it's worthless. Sad to see certain people in my family suffering needlessly when they could be helped by youtube channels like this one.
You are a great doctor. Our entire medical system is now based on treating just the symptoms with expensive and toxic chemicals rather than treat the root cause naturally. Subscribed
A dermatologist prescribed a shampoo for me last year for my resistant scalp condition. My insurance did not cover it. It would have cost me $400. I passed. I started keto, and like many other positive things it does, it improved my scalp health as well. Thank you, Dr. Berry! Glad to be a long-time subscriber. 💯👍
This video is hands down the most ridiculously fantastic advice on this subject. Thank you so so much for not selling out and telling us to buy useless shampoos and potions that just don’t work and for giving everyone advice that will actually work ❤️
My TCM doctor said meat is the culprit due to my ancestors being mostly vegetarians. Can't verify it, as my wife is an uber carnivore and dead animals are delicious.
Or the opposite, depending on the person--and that is key to understanding this. If diet could fix everything, it would. It doesn't. Not even close. The diet advocated here sure didn't change this condition for me. I just eat that way for other health reasons anyway.
I have had dandruff all my life, been on low carb for a little over a year and my dandruff issue was noticably better (not gone but better than any of the shampoos have ever done) with everything going on I let myself have carbs the past 2 weekends and all of a sudden my dandruff is out of control again, I had no clue why. Your video came along right on time. Thank you!
I have dandruff too. The only way I keep it off for a few days is by rinsing my scalp with white vinegar. Diluted if is too strong for you. Let it rest on your scalp for at least 3 minutes and rinse off/shampoo. It stays off for a few days but always comes back

Hi Dr Berry . Thanks for sharing such great information . I am avid follower of your videos . Husband and myself have been following keto for about an year now and had great results . My son who is a toddler has been diagnosed with alopecia about an year ago . Appreciate if you could provide some insight and video where you can talk about this and provide your research on this topic.
My Dandruff improved a bit, but it's not gone I'm doing Keto / OMAD (With no Cheating) for 6 months now and my health became way better. But for the Dandruff sadly it's not entirely gone
You seem like a snakesoil guy. I really doubt if you see real medical case. The thing with these RUclips doctors is that they are not great at practicing, hardly have any patients and in order to make money they try these trends to make quick bucks.
I had severe dandruff. Recently I had Corona virus and had been admitted to a hospital. For 15 days I was at the hospital on a very liquid diet. No solid food or carbs. And guess what? The dandruff just vanished. But as soon as I got back to my normal diet after recovering. The dandruff is back. It has certainly got to do with diet this guy is so right.. 👍
Everything has improved since I've been on Keto I've lost weight my red rash dry skin problems have improved my sleep and my attitude are all much better now...This is the channel that has help me like myself more Thank you.
I've been struggling with dandruff for years and the remedy was so easy - vinegar. After each wash, I use vinegar mixer with water (50/50). I leave it on my scalp for 3 min and then wash it off. It works like a charm
I had seborrhoeic dermatitis since the 2nd Grade. I’ve tired everything! From prescriptions, OTC and natural remedies. It embarrassed me my who life and the itch drove me crazy constantly. 5 yrs ago it started developing in my ears. I had a hard time with keto and IF until I work myself up to OMAD. It was easier to do keto with one meal. (Also taking probiotics and vitamin D) After 2 weeks I noticed a difference in my scalp. A month and a half later I barely have any dandruff. I’ve been so happy and relieved. I don’t have to use a lice comb for 30 mins after washing my hair no more. Also my hair has been softer and more nourished. Thank you so much for your advice and videos.
2 of my 3 kids were born with eczema & seborrheic dermatitis, I believe I am to blame for my poor diet. Now it's so hard to change their diets, especially for my 10 year old, but something i really want to do, need to get them & myself off of all that sugar! Great video, I have not had 1 doctor bring this up over the last 10+ years dealing with my kids. It's amazing what info you can find on the internet if you look in the right place. Thank you for sharing!
I've had dandruff all my life. My mom fed us a sugar/carb based diet with tons of soda so I am a sugar addict. After watching your videos and a few others, I cut carbs and went into Keto, cut out al seed oils, now I'm just low carb. Achs and pains went away, I lost over 15 lbs and have a 6pack again at 44 years old, my dandruff went away and my rocecea went almost completely away. I went from having roceacea and skin problems so bad that my cheeks would actually bleed to it barley being noticeable. My blood pressure is now perfect! I feel as good as I did in my late teens or early 20s. The cravings for carbs eventually go away but I sometimes slip when hanging around the wrong people and I am weak. The problems, bloating and bad mental state start coming back very quickly, much faster then they go away from living correctly.
Wow! So this is why my dandruff disappeared when I cut out all seeds, beans, and grains and switched to an animal-based, low carb, whole foods diet. I thought it was something to do with the anti-nutrients in the seeds and the sugar feeding this fungus, but the omega 6 oils makes sense. Thanks!
Since my husband lowered his carbs and starting eating more veggies his skin has improved a lot! It used to be so bad his face and scalp was just like corn flake sized at times. And he's bald so it was really noticable. What you eat Really effects your skin! Even my eczema cleared up when I stopped eating bread and sugar. High contents of it.

Hi! I'm over 50 and have suffered from an itchy, flaky dermatitis scalp for over 30+ years. I have very thick wavy hair and tend to get a lot of build up. I recently used a baking soda rinse and then a charcoal detox shampoo and it helped my scalp feel better and so clean. I highly recommend it.
I have had these problems for more than ten years and no dermatologist has treated me. I tried all the existing skincare products on the market, in pharmacies, at major and organic brands, but nothing worked and I was beginning to despair. This video is timely, I will follow your advice and I cross my fingers 🤞 Oh what about olive oil ? Thank you Dr for your generosity 🙏
I have been keto/carnivore this year, and my tinnitus is now quiet, no dandruff, went from mid 150s to low 140s in weight (I'm 5'7") stiffness and joint pain greatly reduced/most days non-existent. Dress size has gone from an 18 down to a 12/14. I am 53, but no longer look my age. Looking younger is probably one of the coolest effects of low carb eating!
I was watching this video to help my daughter....She is 11 and has suffered with dandruff since she was about 7. We have tried everything for her dandruff. Tea trea oil has been the most helpful thing so far. She has a ton of hair and a very sensitive scalp so its been a battle trying to get rid of it. I used to get dandruff too. I have been on keto since Oct of 2019. I hadn't even stopped to think about the fact that I haven't been dealing with dandruff. That makes sense...I will try switching her over to my keto based diet.
My daughter had thick dandruff with a large wet area. I gave my daughter vitamin D, one pill in the morning and one at night. Within a couple days her scalp was dried up. And in a week the dried flakes almost completely cleared up. She missed a couple days when we ran out of pills, and it came back full force. “Wash, rinse, repeat” and we saw improvements immediately again.
This video was 16 mins but it definitely didn’t feel like it. I was intrigued with everything you had to say and actually enjoyed all of it. I wish all my college lectures were like this, I would 100% take your class if you taught lectures😊
He is 100% correct about this cus i was 16 when i was having this problem and i went to a reputable dermatologist and he asked me to do exactly what this person is telling. And i did that for like 7,8 months and literally zero dandruff, zero hair fall, glowing skin; like a domino effect everything improved dramatically. I am a sweet tooth so after my problem vanished, i again started eating all junk and am having the same problem again😅 But, whatever he's telling is absolute truth. You'd just have to pick, great hair and skin OR food.

In my case, the seborrheic dermatitis is directly triggered the very next day after consuming dairy, grain, or if I went to town on sugar. The only dairy I never react to is butter. (even though I’ve been strictly gluten free since 2017)

@@marycooper9183 well in my daughters case I just called her ped doctors office, mentioned that she was experiencing hair loss and asked for blood tests. This doctor is so spot on.. I've been avoiding industrially produced seed oils for 2 months (for other health reasons and after watching other videos from other doctors about the same subject). My other female related health issue so far has greatly improved. Then last night I cheated on my diet with Burger King and a few low sugar yogurts for dinner. I woke up this morning with returning dandruff and severe itching that I haven't had in a while and was wondering why. I googled and came upon this video.. And its more proof to me that industrially produced seed oils are screwing up my system. I so wish all these fast food places and the fast food industry in general would stop using Canola and other seed oils :(
@Winter Zhukovsky, I am 62 and that the fast food industry was using tallow when I was a child. When I was older there was a huge uproar from activist types to stop animal fats and switch to “heart healthy” fats. It took a while (as I remember) but the fast food chains did switch over. Then the food never tasted as good. These do-gooders also recommended giving up eggs and following the “healthy breakfast” which was cereal, milk, orange juice and toast with a pat of margarine. The government does not know best, grandma does
So excited to see you had this video on your site. Now I am stumped! I have had such an issue with my scalp that besides all the plaque, flakes and hair loss, now I wake up, out of a sound sleep scratching the nape of my neck. I have been a persistent IP going in between carnivore and keto for over 2 years. The only sugar I consume is a piece of cheesecake once a year on Christmas. I greatly appreciate all of your videos and the time and care you put into them. You are great to learn from. Never do I have any oils but tallow or grass fed butter and typically practice 18/6 on my IF. I just recently saw my physician for an unrelated issue and showed him my scalp. Seborrhoeic Dermatitis was his diagnosis with a strong shampoo prescribed. I knew better than to even get that prescription filled so I came home and looked you up. I have changes in severity but it never completely leaves. I can honestly confirm that I consume NONE of what you mention and haven't for over 2 years. Dr. Berry, can you think of any other reason this is happening to me? I would greatly appreciate any thoughts you may have. I worked in healthcare for over 25 years and know that's an avenue that leads to utter nonsense, so I come to you! Kristin

When I first had this super itchy scalp (and some face), I thought it was something I ate too much. I was eating a lot of spicy fried chicken, candy and chips. The first dermatologist I saw I said "I think it's related to what I eat"...and she said "there is no proof". This video just confirmed my suspicion!! My scalp is inflamed INTERNALLY and not due to over growing of some bacteria or fungus. Thanks for this video. I think I should where to start now.

Lowered my carb as a vegetarian (lacto ovo) and it did fix my flakes. I don't want to go extreme nor want to consume meat. I'm more into mediterranean diet which I highly recommend, it's all about moderation of carbs and meat and plenty of good fats. And you can easily have a vegetarian version.
Thank you. I have just shared this with someone I know, who seems to have an issue with dandruff. I can see, without even asking this person, that they use sunflower oil, because it is supposed to be healthier. They use the so-called Healthy Spread, instead of butter. Wow, so many things you mentioned there, this person uses. So, without me even asking them, what they thought of this. I can see that this video, will help them. If they take note and make the changes. :)
I did a reset diet years ago, cut out unhealthy carbs, processed foods. 2 weeks veggies, protein, no grains. Smoothie with slow carb fruit in morning. Then add in GF grains like brown rice. Totally got rid of my seborrheic dermatitis, itchy flaky ears, lost weight, more energetic, alert/no brain fog.
My husband puts full strength apple cider vinegar on his scalp once a week. It works amazing, sometimes so well he can go for two or three weeks without putting it on. He leaves it on till it dries, the smell goes way once it dries. He then washes or just simply rinses his scalp the next day. All the flakes clear up totally, even his barber said it is amazing and looks wonderful.
I would like to also recommend looking up apple cider vinegar rinse! My wife got us doing it when we wash our hair and it really gets stuff out! We only do it a couple times a year.
100% correlation. Had bad dandruff all growing up and in my 20’s . Was running insanely high intakes of all the carbs, sugars, seed veg oils, etc. Experimented with different diet styles all the high sugar, high carb ones I’ve had dandruff. Mostly on carnivore now added keffer and Greek yogurt all grass fed. Drink athletic greens and also little cold press juice beets, carrots, wheatgrass, lemon. No more dandruff. I loove bread and pastry way to much to not have a little treat. only If binge the carbs will the dandruff return.
Wish I had seen this video sooner !! I’ve been to dermatologist on top of dermatologist looking for a better solution and no one could give me anything other than shampoos that don’t work ! Thank you so much !!
All of this is true and it really works. I had a nasty case of seborrheic dermatitis since I was 13, on my scalp, face and ears. Of course I was a carb-lover with a cortisol level up the roof. Used countless dermatologist approved treatments but the seb derm was always coming back and all I heard from derms was that this is a *chronic condition that will stay with me for the rest of my life*. But then I tried to loose some weight and to do that I switched to clean low carb/keto to reverse my insulin resistance. I also worked on lowering my cortisol naturally and ate lots of anti-inflammatory foods. I already gave up on treating my seb derm but as I was doing my diet I noticed my skin cleared up, my scalp no longer had bad smell and giant yellow flakes, my hair started growing back. Didn't know it was related to my lifestyle change, but then I read studies on how carbohydrate rich diet aggravates seborrheic dermatitis. I've been low carb since last year and I've never been free from dandruff for such a long time. It's great that someone is finally talking about internal causes of seb derm instead of giving one of those gimmick advice on shampoos.

Thank you and your so right .. when I stopped eating bread and slowed way down on my sugar intake my dandruff had disappeared. Now I understand why .. sad to say it returned because i returned to my terrible diet ☹️
Hey guys. I used to have Seborrherheic Dermatitis with flaky dandruff. This thing have to cure with your diet and healthy lifestyle. Here's one more tip, I used to blend the Neem Leaves and apply it in my scalp 30 minutes before showering. 2-3 times a week. The scalp will be clear without dandruffs. Neem leaves are naturally antifungal.
I just got diagnosed with glycosylation of connective tissues. I've told my wife for years that I am 'inflamed'. Finally a diagnosis. I also have a terrific case of Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. I have started a new diabetes program that is controlling my sugars much better, but I'm only about month in and still have adjustments to make. The dermatologist only recommended shampoos and creams. What you are saying makes good sense because I'm seeing other effects of the inflammation and immune response, which makes it worse. Thanks for the information. I think after years of ghostly diagnoses like fibromyalgia are coming to an end with this connection to inflammation.
My dandruff has disappeared, 1 year on keto and the last 6 weeks on carnivore. I also use baking soda to wash my hair, shampoo has not touched my hair in over a year now. Its called no poo I think. I also live in Greece so the only oil we use is olive oil from the village. Thanks Dr Ken for all the great info.
I use one to two eggs to wash my hair and it totally got rid of my and my husbands dandruff. I don't know why but keto and carnivore (going on three years) didn't get rid of the dandruff.
"Nizoral AD" solves my flaking scalp issues. Also eliminates scaly places on my neck, arms, chest and back when I rub the foamed up shampoo onto my torso. This used to be prescription only, now available to everyone. Walmart has the cheapest price right now. It's good news of course that my KETO diet will also contribute to a long term fix.
@@noahahmed8247 I also recommend Nizoral. It worked immediately for me after using H&S for decades with no improvement. It didnt last though. Switched to H&S Selenium Sulphide and now dandruff is rare. I think deep fried foods caused it though.
I had dry scalp and/or dandruff and it went away with 2~3 raw garlic cloves a day for about 3 and a half weeks. I didn't expect this as I was using it solely for parasites. Garlic is one of the few things that actually 'works' for me.
Thank you for being so honest with people. This is a perfect 👍🏻 advice against dandruff. I noticed long ago that my diets affect directly on my scalp and also drinking probiotics and I always thought 💭 it’s good 👍🏻 for help my body fight against the fungus. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Not all nuts and seeds are high in omega 6. SOME nuts and some seeds.. their omega 3 and omega 6 levels are all different. Flaxseeds. Chia seeds & Walnuts are the best for omega 3.
Oh, I didn't know I should be insecure and socially embarrassed about my dandruff. Thanks for telling me! Also, lived in Portugal for a few years with lots of sun exposure and had a healthy died with little to no sugars and low amount of carbs, still had dandruff. It's worse in UK, but never gone away in Portugal either. Remain skeptical.
I've been using a Ketoconazole shampoo for decades to keep my dandruff under control. After two weeks on keto my dandruff was gone, no itchy scalp, nothing. Don't be sceptical, try keto for a month.
I had dandruff for years - finally found 2 shampoos that take it away. That makes me conclude that my scalp hates most commercial detergent agents that they use in shampoo. The 2 brands are Virtue (super clean and super expensive) and JVN shampoo - amazing ingredients and much cheaper than Virtue. My diet has always been extremely clean so it's not dietary for me anyway.
I've heard this from thousands or people who used to have dandruff. A Proper Human Diet makes it go away...
Me, too! I've had "dandruff" since childhood.
5:47 Inflammation. 7:45 Overproduction of skin cells. 8:43 Improper immune response 10:00 Hormonal imbalance. 11:35 Recap
Thank you 🙏
The cure to sebo is overall immune health, not skin alone.
Consequently, too much dead skin cells is also a factor to clogged pores which results to acne.
that 11:35 was a good stamp man thanks
I’m no longer hungry, I no longer crave, grazing has saved my own mind and body.
what types of common foods we eat are carbohydrates and industrial vegetable seed oils?
@@marlenegold280 thanks! what about light greens like lettuce?
@@Viewer13128
Ice berg lettuce has nearly no nutrients.

I'm a month into carnivore and have dandruff on scalp and beard really bad. I may have to cut dairy out and see if things improve.
Honestly it might take some time. Initially I went low carb for the first time ever and lost the dandruff in a week and a half. Then I went on and off low carb and high carb for a year and a half. I have all of these things too. Going to fix my diet too.
@Legato B nothing high glycemic like watermelon or mangoes. No problems with blackberries, except the price.
I've had to find this out the hard way a few times. I make a simple applesauce with apples fried in butter and laced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Just that. I miss icecream sometimes, but a quarter hour of that enjoyment isn't worth a three day rash.
All the best to you.
Define paleo diet. Which foods did u allow?
@@keylanoslokj1806 meat, starchless veg like cabbage. Leafy greens, Walnuts, blueberries, blackberries, low glycemic stuff.
And I found some minimally processed bacon without sugar.
There are things I miss, but it's good to feel good.
I went on keto for nearly a year and noticed my dandruff was going away. I definitely noticed the low carbohydrate diets effect on inflammation but didn’t know it would fix that problem as well. Very cool to have this confirmed.
Thank you for this video. It will greatly reduce my visit to the dermatologist who has NEVER said anything about what’s happening to me internally. 😡
Great teaching Dr. Berry. No dandruff, but have occasional bouts of seborrheic dermatitis on my face. I am an RN and this is so helpful.
In my case, the seborrheic dermatitis is directly triggered the very next day after consuming dairy, grain, or if I went to town on sugar. The only dairy I never react to is butter. (even though I’ve been strictly gluten free since 2017)

My daughter had bad dandruff. It was discovered she had a vitamin d deficiency incidentally. As she started supplementing vitamin d her dandruff went away.
Hey l have vit d deficiency as well and my level is 20 how much was your daughter’s vit d level?
@@Senedissak it was 19.
How would I know if I have that deficiency or any vitamin deficiency ? What would be the process to find out at the dermatologist as well? Also on my own any symptoms?
@@marycooper9183 well in my daughters case I just called her ped doctors office, mentioned that she was experiencing hair loss and asked for blood tests. They tested for thyroid, iron levels and vitamin d. So generally you would just call your general practitioner and mention the problems you are having and ask to have blood tests to rule out nutrient deficiencies to start out with. Dermatologists can probably order some labs as well. But you may need to see your pcp or general practitioner. . Most insurances will cover, good luck!

Hey, thought I’d come back and leave a comment. Did carnivore diet for 7 days and my dandruff completely cleared after 7 months of shampoo, steroids, pills. Thank you so much for this information.
Getting the carbs out of my diet fixed my lifelong dandruff problem. One of the first things that was fixed by removing the carbs.
@franz stockmann Right? Who would've thought it would be such a simple solution! I must've fought the battle for 25 years or so thinking it would be a battle for the rest of my life. My father has always struggled with it and I thought it was my destiny too!
Ann Marie I have severe seborrheic dermatitis I hope this helps. Is this keto diet safe long term? And would it have to be forever?
@@noahahmed8247 I believe it is safe long term. I will have to eat this way for the rest of my life to stay away from medication for diabetes. Best of luck.
@@annmarie9321 Apparently the human body's primary fuel source is sugar in the form of carbohydrates. That be natural simple sugars like fructose that is fruit. I wonder why we get SD. Maybe it's all the processed junk and complex refined sugars.

Seriously, your health suggestions are common sense. Oddly, many people are missing this information. I am constantly listening and learning everyday from your informational video.
Oh my god!!! I tried to just avoid carbs for the last two days and I am already feeling less "tingling"!! This guy really knows his stuff. I've seen 3 dermatologists and they all told me "it's not food related". Bullshit. I knew it's something to do with my guts!!! Thank you for solving my 1.5 year of itchy/burning scalp!!!
Same happened to me with the doctors. Also suffered from acne (appeared like 2 weeks aftet the SD) decided to remove dairy, at least that helped tremendously for the acne.
I'm still in the process of managing SB through stress first, and then diet
The government does not know best, grandma does
I know that Chick FIL A cooks with peanut oils.
Hey, how's your situation now? Have you been able to solve it? Did you have to give up carbs completely?
Kristin
This is the exact situation I'm in also and have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. I did get bitten by a tick three years ago and I'm at the point where I think I have Lyme disease which seems like an answer to what is going on but when I asked my Dr he says Lyme disease is not real, yet he has no solution to what is going on.
Cut down on dairy products. Since avoiding full milk and using lactose free milk the itchiness and flakes have completely gone.

I never even pondered on the old saying "you are what you eat" until I started watching Dr. Berry's videos. Mind: blown
ArtRat I’ll try this!
What I eat To Remove dandruff ???
What do you suggest we eat bro
Do you think athletic greens plays a big part? Do you think I can achieve the same results without the athletic greens?
Found the roganite😂
Thats great. But its hard for people who dont want to lose weight..
