3:51 Remedy #3 - Bile salts for psoriasis
In this video, we’re going to talk about the three best remedies for psoriasis. If you have psoriasis, then you don’t want to miss out on this video-I put a lot of research and energy into this topic to summarize it for you.
The word Psoriasis comes from two Greek words: psora (itchy) and iasis (action/condition).
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition-this is where your body creates antibodies that attack your own healthy tissue. With psoriasis, certain areas of your skin are replaced every 3-5 days instead of 28-30 days. This accelerated production of skin cells is what causes the redness, scaliness, and flakiness with psoriasis.
What’s really happening behind the curtain is a T-cell dysfunction-in particular, the TH17 cell. T-cells are part of the acquired immune system. This means you aren’t born with it, but instead, you acquire it over time.
This dysfunction of TH17 cells is typically triggered by an altered microbiome.
When these cells dysfunction, they induce a massive amount of inflammation and autoimmunity. Additionally, they release cytokines, which can also be inflammatory. At the same time, T-reg cells are suppressed.
TH17 is directly linked to vitamin D. This is why the first remedy for psoriasis is vitamin D. Take a look:
1. Vitamin D - Vitamin D helps regulate T-cells. Vitamin D acts as a hormone in the body. In particular, it acts like cortisol, which is one of the primary treatments for psoriasis. This is why psoriasis cases skyrocket in the winter-most people get less vitamin D.
2. Cod liver oil - Cod liver oil not only contains vitamin D and vitamin A, but it also has omega-3 fatty acids. Low levels of omega-3s are known to cause dry, scaly, and red skin. Omega-3 is a powerful anti-inflammatory.
3. Bile salts - Bile salts stimulate vitamin D receptors. This means that it allows vitamin D to work much better in the body.
It’s also a good idea to go on an intermittent fasting plan and avoid all gluten.
Give these tips a try and let me know how they work for you in the comments below.

Wow!!! Amazing. How is the psoriasis?
Have seen a big improvement ,and less joint pain would recommend keto lifestyle ,it sure working for me
I am 68 and have had Psoriatic arthritis for the past 7 years. My Rhematologist put me on Methetroxete right away and all my joint pain went away and no inflamation but I do have the red skin etc but Im now using olive oil on my skin which keeps away the white flaky stuff and luckily I have never had itchiness.

I've had moderate to severe psoriasis for over twenty years. Not one doctor has ever recommended diet change, they have all prescribed ointment and injections that do not work and have given me incredibly awful side effects. In walks Dr. "Amazing" Eric Berg with his research and advice, I follow and cut gluten, and BOOM! Two weeks later I'm almost clear. I am ASTOUNDED! I agree 100% with everything in this video. I have Psoriasis, I had already discovered simply by just by taking 2 fish oil capsules a day, and Vitamin D, reducing diary products and sugar I had a major improvement in my Psoriasis. For me, It is highly manageable without using prescription drugs.
It needs to go away not just manageable
Ridding skin Psoriasis does not mean there isn't ongoing inflammation. You can have psoriatic arthritis without showing skin Psoriasis. Follow up is needed and testing for PsA. All these recommendations are great, but may not stop ongoing systemic inflammation that the skin doesn't reveal.
How long is did it take
I guess it does not work for me. I been taking vitamin d 20000 iu for almost a year. Don’t do diary but very little sugar with coffee. I have tried cod liver oil also but no dice. Not to mention I eat almost a pound of wild caught salmon every week.

I really appreciated this video, thank you. I was covered in Psoriasis for over 30 years and battled tummy issues, psoriatic Arthritis, and extreme weight loss. My life was controlled by it...I easily spent over a million dollars on creams, ointments, treatments, supplements...you name it...I tried it. I even tried going Gluten Free which helped but not totally. I took a temp. job filling in for a Baker at a logging camp. Within the week, I was covered and raw and I mean raw. Turned out I'm allergic to wheat and got dermatitis from it...not Psoriasis. Ointments are different and often made me worst. I reacted to touching flour from baking bread. Now I'm 100% Wheat Free with everything from laundry soap to my makeup and my skin is so clear, subtle, soft, and beautiful for my age for 3 years straight. So happy! Once in a while, if I come into contact with traces of "Wheat" even from sheets in a hotel...I would know it within the hour. Yet, I can eat barley without breaking out in Dermatitis. I now encourage everyone I know with Psoriasis to try going wheat free. Worth a shot!

@@SM-yw5nm no it is 40000
@@SM-yw5nm The only way to cure autoimmune disorders naturally proven by online testimonials (Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Mikhaila Peterson, Dr Eric Berg, KenDBerryMD)
To cure autoimmune disorders you need to eliminate all inflammatory foods from your diet. That includes processed food, gluten (white bread, pasta, white rice, ...), night shades (potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, ...)
Most of these foods are carbs so you will either need to choose between a Keto diet or a carnivore diet to prevent inflammation coming from the food you eat.
While being on a Keto or carnivore diet you should combine it with intermittent fasting a 16:8 is recommended, intermittent fasting reduces inflammation in the body, boosts HGH, detoxes and nourishes the body, low insulin levels and you will have it easier to prevent yourself from eating the carbs that cause inflammation in the body.
When your fast is completed you should consume bile salts (TUDCA) or turmeric to modulate the TH-17 in the body (3-4x) . People with autoimmune disorders have a T-Cell dysfunction that causes the autoimmunity and causes more inflammation in the body than usual. After taking TUDCA or turmeric, supplementing with high doses of vitamin D will suppress the TH-17. Articles recommend not to supplement with too high of a dosage but 1000-2000 IU 1-2/ week did not increase vitamin D but only after 4 months it did. When dealing with autoimmunity the body needs doses of even more than 40000 IU to be able to suppress TH-17 in the body. Do not be afraid, you can only have complications in the body if you take more than 200000 IU everyday for months. An omega 3 deficiency can cause dry scaly skin, so supplement those as well or eat fish every day.
TUDCA 2. Vitamin D (40000 IU) 3. Omega 3
People have tried this and after 3 months 80% of their psoriasis faded away. It is the only natural remedy that actually works. Prevent using any other thing to treat this condition, it will only work temporarily and will not cure what’s wrong inside of the body.

Very interesting. An excess of T-cells are also responsible for MS, which I have. No wonder I have Psoriasis on my elbow.Thank you for putting that together in my mind, and recommending an easy treatment!
I stopped gluten intake and the patch dry cells cleared up on my elbow.
My scalp used to be covered with psoriasis, and it started to show up on my knees and elbows. I've only had to deal with one small persistent patch on the nape of my neck since I eliminated gluten and dairy about 15 years ago.
Same here! Eczema on hands is almost gone. My trigger foods are gluten and milk.
I stopped and it started 😂
How long after you stopped eating gluten did you see results?
@@chefjpc stopped eating gluten and started seeing results within a month. It didn't go away completely because I was inconsistent as well, took me time to adjust to no pasta, bread, CAKE, milk, ice cream, cereal, etc.... But when I would eat a trigger food, boy did I get a nasty flare up on my hands. I actually had eczema on my pinky only to begin with. Then it spread to the rest of my hand and eventually the other hand. It took me about 2 years to figure out it was food allergies. In the meantime I was dealing with it using creams and stuff like that. And it helped but it didn't solve my problem.
I quit eating processed meats, and this made a big difference for me.!

I only have psoriasis on my scalp. Cutting gluten and dairy was the first step that majorly helped improve my plaques. Especially dairy. I also know that conventional coffee (organic is fine), sugar, alcohol, and food dyes make it worse too. I’ll put up with a little psoriasis because I like a little sugar occasionally and having a drink, but I really try to cut back when it’s getting aggravated.
Also I will say I was getting vitamin B6 shots for energy and wow! My scalp cleared up soooo well for a while.

I think my psoriasis just started because I have eczema and never had this small plaque-like in the thumbnail until last month when I found out my leg and hand were like that. So I am watching this video and I want to thank you for doing research and giving a clear explanation. I love your videos and when these videos teach me, I feel grateful to your channel.
Hi. I was diagnosed with eczema as a child, but my dermatologist argues that it may have been psoriasis all along. That’s plausible in milder cases. Maybe it only recently got bad enough for you to develop the trademark plaques. I still don’t get them but do clearly have mild psoriasis.
Hello.. My mom had SEVERE psoriasis. Years & years of doctors & smelly greasy lotions never worked. I even changed her diet several times trying to help her. It was so bad, I was cleaning and vaccuming the house three to four times a day in her hang out areas esp. before any cooking in the kitchen. Well, she fell iff for another reason & was given an IMMOGLOUBIN SHOT & her skin COMPLETELY CLEARED. It lasted well over 6 months. She started to get some minor patches back but nothing like it was. I asked the doctor why the HELL was this not thought of? Well its only a side effect from the shot & not a main LISTED reason for it... it makes sence though because psoriasis is an autoimmune condition & the shot helps the immune system...

what you did? just follow this video?
Hi Archana, I commented the following but I don't know if I will get a reply back because I don't see any reply from him anywhere, so I'm asking you. If you know anything, it will help.
I wanted clarification. I have high cholesterol and triglycerides. I do take cholecalciferol 60000 iu granuales once a month.
1) The D3 40000iu - Since only 10000iu gel tabs are available do i take 4 TOGETHER or 4 tablets of 10000 iu throughout the day?
2) What is the maximum I can take per day?
3) Can I buy cholecalciferol powder granules packets of 60000 iu each and divide it into 2/3?
4) I have been taking fish oil 1200mg twice a day for a long time but don't see a change in psoriasis that I have (some inside the ear and cuts/tears in ear folds - peeling and powdery skin, and generally scaly skin on arms and legs). I will still continue it.
5) The TUDCA bile salts ? What is the strength to be taken 3-4 times a day? You get several strengths in stores. These salts are very expensive. Is there an alternative for it?
6) I'm confused but all these 3 remedies are to be taken together or we first try the d3 and if it doesn't work then we go to next and then next?
7) For how long do I have to keep taking all of these and when can I stop? I am concerned it should not create a blockage in the arteries with such high doses per day (although I don't know much about it. I've just heard that calcium causes a problem in the long run).

Dr. Berg, I have patches of psoriasis on my elbows and have had them for +20 years. I usually use heavy moisturizer or ultravate if it gets really bad. For the last few months, 90% of the elbows patches have disappeared. For the life of me I could not figure out why it has healed since I've done nothing to it and nothing differently. After watching your video, I figured out why! I started taking vitamin D3 gummies. Since the gummies are delicious, I eat them like candy. I got rid of some of some my psioriasis by eating a bland diet. Issue is I didn't keep it up long enough, so not all of it healed up.
Will try anything at this stage. Thanks for the advice Doc...
I feel I graduated from this doctor s medical school every time I watch his videos! Good stuff 👍!
Thank you for watching!
I've had that on my elbow, from time to time. I remember it happening once after I went keto, maybe six or eight months ago. It all sorta makes sense in retrospect, but I don't remember the specifics. I was getting lots of vitamin D, though (including lots of winter midday sun), because I was worried about C19.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Much love to you 🤗💖❣️
Glad to know that you liked this post!

That was so helpful, thank you. I have already found out: when I am close to the equator and the ocean, my asthma and psoriasis are both gone. if I come home, both comes back. Gluten is a killer, that is true. But sadly, a diet with vegetables, salad and fruit only is very expensive.
You pay for healthy food OR you pay for expensive meds.
I also use ointments with calendula. It helps tremendously.
Thank you for your information Dr i watch you a lots, your explanation is very clear easy to understand,im watching from hongkong God bless you:
Very glad to be of help.
Omg! Thank you thank you thank you! This change my life around! I’m only doing this for a week now and I can see dramatic changes in my psoriasis! I want people to know that this works, maybe not for everyone but worked for me, my condition is so severe but it responds poorly to typical treatments, after taking vD and the other supplements it surely made a dramatic change! So than you Doctor for this priceless advice! ❤❤
How are you now
??
Another brilliant video. Brilliant teacher and Doctor. It is obviously that you do a lot of preparation to ensure your 'students' understand . Thank you so much!
Excellent video so far, thank you for your research and video.
It's my pleasure!
@@Drberg thanks you so much doctor you are ray hope for me...also is there any organic or dietary alternative to bile salts?

Dr Berg you are my doctor! You have been for years… I learn so much from you, and what you prescribe actually works.
I'm so glad it helps!
Thank you doctor for the very valuable information 👏🏻👍🏻
Happy to be of help!
This was fascinating, my child has psoriasis and the doctors only want to give creams and shampoos. Not a single time have they ever mentioned a single detail of what is mentioned in this video.
right!! They want us to spend big bucks to Big Pharma
Doctors have no interest in solving the problem that causes the condition. They only have an interest in treating the condition.
Sadly it is simply the way they are trained. They are ill informed but largely Good People. Trained by a system that is somewhat broken.
This is exactly what I observed in every single GP I was dealing with.
'Here's this steroid cream.
Try that.'
Oh it still didn't go away completely?
I'll give you a different brand of steroid cream...
Those GPs are schooled by pharmaceutical mafia.
They have not even the slightest desire to cure a patient, but on the contrary.
By curing patient, they loose a customer.
By masking symptoms, they got customer for life with chronic diseases.
See!! Once i told my doctor abt dr berg vidéo he said naaa he is just talking for nothing and he keep giving me creams and my pso coming worst
I pray the Lord blesses you greatly. You don’t have to do this for people. People you are likely to never meet. May your graciousness be returned to you and your family. And most of all may you be found in Christ on that Day. Shalom
Listen I don’t know why this works but it absolutely does. An exfriend had severe plaque psoriasis that covered half his left arm. He moved down to Perdido Beach FL with me for a year and lived across the street from the beach. We swam almost every day in the ocean about an hour a day. After 3 months the only sign of psoriasis he had was a dime size spot on his elbow.
I’m 27, small patches piped up late 2019, (just had a break up after 6 years.) fast forward to now after doing some curious research. I’ve had symptoms since I was a kid with just no patches or hair issues. Shortly after the chicken pox. My nails would grow and grow. Joint issues have been a thing.
I have arthritic psoriasis since first year college:
They trigger when I’m under stress.
Avoid STRESS and I make sure to have sea water swim once a week to control.
As of writing I don’t have any flares - no harm also to follow Dr. Berg’s advise- will oblige!
Thank you Dr. Berg
But there are so many stress triggers in life.... difficult to avoid it...
try an IMMOGLOBIN SHOT. Cured my mom of SEVERE psoriasis & lasted about 6 months. some SLIGHT patches started to come back but nothing close to the way it was. Doctors dont think about using the immoglobin shot for skin conditions but it works!
Fully agree here! On top of that, little and poor sleep and there it is.
Dear Dr Berg, thank you so much for this video and all your other video. This particular video has hit home for me, my husband has psoriasis really bad for year and I never knew up until now that its connected to depression which he has too as well as low energy level, sleeping problems and many other conditions which I now believe is tied with this. He takes vitamin d but I will now introduce the salt as well as cod liver oil. I am so greatfull for your bite-size info that you post and which as short and to the point which has really changed my families way of looking at put health so thank you very much.
@ sky hi , Is there any impovement so far?
@@viahttp other people have said it improved after 3 months
@@tommy90210_ psorasis tends to go away on its own after 3 months
Listen up... My mom psoriasis was SEVERE for decades. Hundreds of dermo. appointments & tons of lotions, never worked. She fell ill for another reason & was given an IMMOGLOBIN SHOT & it COMPLETELY CURED her skin! It went from F to B plus! It lasted about 6 months then some small light patches started to come back but NOTHING like it was.... TRY THE SHOT... doctors dont think of it because its a side effect=clear skin....
@@MxchCuevas Oh really? Then why have I have it for years?
Detailed and very helpful information !! Thank you 🙏 Dr. Berg .
You're very welcome!
@@Drberg how much of supplements for a child? My 6 year old daughter has psoriasis.
@@Drberg I have this problem for 2yr so what I will do now
Dr Berg I followed your directions on not only doing healthy ketogenic diet, 40,000 unit D3+k2, 2 tudca upon waking, cod liver oil. After 11 mos lost 52 lbs, trimmed waistline 5 “, finally saw some improvement on my psoriasis. I still have a faint of dryness, but no longer red and itchy inflamed! As you said it would take 2-3 yrs to heal. At 70 now after decades of suffering with it I see a great improvement….step by step!
I looked up D3 and what I have found so far are 1000iu capsules. 40000iu would be 40 capsules a day. That can't be right, is it? I would appreciate any advice.
How are you now?
@@craigcode7103I have been taken Sport Research Vit D3 and it has only 5000 IU per capsule.
@@craigcode7103 hi..did u found out? im 2 are very confused..internet says 4000iu is Max per day, and he says 40000!?
Hubby & me have had no Psoriasis since giving up Sugar, 2 years ago. No going back. 🤗
Thank you muchly for sharing this very important information with us all. Take care, stay safe & healthy, & Happy Sunday everybody. ❤🙂🐶

With sugar you mean the white refined table sugar or fructose, honey and lactose too?
@@rudy1999 Yes. But check your labels on products, there are over 100 different names for Sugar that manufacturers have come up with. It's not easy but bit by bit you can slowly eliminate it from your diet. Take care Coops. ❤🙂🐶
@@rudy1999 Corn syrup/sugar is above all the worst! cut back on all, stop if possible, but stop and never do corn sugar now and forever.
M also not taking suger but using jaggery..so no relief from psori ..any suggestions plz
Really Dr Berg, I spread your word. No sugar coating, direct and to the point. I take this information and school my doctor who hasn't got a clue. Reallly, what did they not teach them in med school. Here is a pill.... and another.
Try Absolute Collagen...worked for me..good luck x
I’ve always had minor skin issues since birth, but the psoriasis took over in college. Stress while I was at school I think contributed to me getting it. It’s been years since I first noticed it, and I’ve been done with school for a long time but the psoriasis is spreading to different areas lately. I’m going to try these methods and hopefully they work!
I stopped eating tomatoes and grapefruit oranges etc …. Really helps along with all dr bergs recommendations…
Sitting here and thinking about how many autoimmune deseases I have in total... I wish I had a doctor like you in Germany Dr. Berg!
Dr Berg is all over! That is the beauty of the internet.
Just watch all his videos! They’re life changing!
You're a good man Dr Berg very thoughtful and knowledgeable thank you 👍😃
