We did an exploratory trip to Boise/CDA/Spokane about a month ago. Boise seemed pretty nice and reminded me a lot in terms of weather/geography of Southern California (hot, dry, smoky). There's a great church there too. Then we started driving north and with every 50 miles it just got nicer and nicer. When we pulled into CDA it was just the cherry on top of a beautiful cake. But we went over to Spokane a few times. You are right, it's a really neat city but the drug/homelessness was pretty awful after being in Idaho for a week. We really liked Nine Mile Falls though -- nice homes on an acre near the river for much less than what you would get in Idaho. That and the lack of income tax was very tempting but in the end we have friends and a great church in Hayden and so that's where we want to be. The emphasis on liberty, patriotism and traditional values are appreciated as well. Thanks for the videos!
We moved to Priest lake Id. from Spokane years ago, to build homes up here and raise our children in Idaho ! Priest lake is a great place with awesome people, everyone helps everyone
(East) Washington ❌ Can't bring in preowned ARs ✅ Can open carry ❌ No loaded weapons in car without CCW ❌ No handguns with threaded barrels ❌ No standard capacity magazines ❌ Sherrifs applying DNR rules to private properties Being (incorrectly) hassled for shooting on your own acreage outside of cities is a huge detractor for me. You're likely to encounter this in Spokane county because of the neighbors and demographics they bring in. If you NEED to be in Washington but want to be in a gun friendly microcosm, I think you really need to be at least as north as Colbert, if not Chattaroy or even in south Pend Oreille County. But obviously the trade off is commute - particularly in the winters.
The only people who find us are already searching for this area... Plus, the ONLY people who call us are very conservative and are an asset to the area.
@@thenorthidahoexperience Thank you for reminding your viewers that people moving to Idaho are conservatives trying to get AWAY from liberal disaster zones. I have sat through too many Idaho realtor videos who parrot the "Keep your California out of my Idaho" thing.

You bet! Thanks for the comment, that's the same conclusion we came to and haven't looked back.
Eastern Washington, Spokane in particular, is a cancer. That cancer sneaks into Idaho and it's noticeable.
Yep, easy to spot downtown and at the beach...
Born and raised in Washington and I have to agree.
