Hey Einstein. Since realtors will sacrifice quality of life for money, no doubt when you migrated from California to CDA it was less crowded, less expensive, don't worry though. With California realtors promoting the area, your "rural" area will soon be populataed with fellow Californians.

I love Idaho for everything that it is. But just like everywhere else, it has shortcomings: Up north it’s cold most of the year, not a big deal if you like sweatshirts. School systems aren’t very good and funding is low. Our kids only attend school 4 days a week due to cuts. The roadways weren’t built to withstand the large influx of people, so there’s always road construction because everything is a two lane road. Nothing is made here, so importing from elsewhere makes some items expensive especially groceries. While we don’t have homeless up here, there are regions where the drug epidemic has taken hold, mostly satellite towns in the mountains. There is only 5 industries to work in: public land, logging, mining, retail and tourism. That said, everything else makes it worthwhile to live here. It’s beautiful, open and full of nice people.

I used to live in Post Falls not very far from where the current construction is going on for the Highway 41 interchange . I still have friends who live in Post Falls. It's a beautiful town but it is slowly losing its small town feel. You did a great video. I'm so surprised at how much growth has happened in the 4 years I have been away from there. I moved from there to be farther north & off grid.

I moved to Hauser 6 years ago and love it. North Idaho is everything I wanted. D-macs on the lake is the best!

Just found you and my husband and I are both retired LEO’s and we moved to CDA. We love this state. Also my husband had a heart attack 3 weeks before the 5 year cap. It was so scary. We are so blessed to be raising our school age children.

STOP IT!! SHUT UP!! Stop trying to promote the area and get more people to move up here!! we like it quite and small town feel. this isn't California, we don't want it to be like Cali.

We go from 15 hours 58 minutes of day light in spring/summer... to 8.5 hours in fall/winter. It happens fast in fall... like an hour +loss in each a month. If you have not experienced that and wonder what it's like. just put up room darkening curtains... give it a try for 4 months. Only open them after 7:30am and close them at 4:00pm. This will be your reality for Nov thru Feb in North Idaho. Be prepared to live with that 4 months of the year..... Look it up on the weather channels... It's real and it sucks!
