- We are back in the lower 48 after spending 4 months in Alaska and Canada this summer and are so excited to visit a bunch of new places as we make our way south to Texas for the holidays. And first up: Spokane, Washington!
Located in the eastern part of Washington, Spokane is the second largest city in the state and in our opinion, is one of the state’s best kept secrets. With mountains, forests, lakes, waterfalls (including one RIGHT in town!), and rivers nearby, plus cute neighborhoods, tons of local eats, and unique sights, the city really has it all!
And we are so stoked to be partnering with @VisitSpokane to show y’all some of the BEST things to do in and around the city. We spent three days exploring town, hitting the trails, rafting, and enjoying delicious local coffee and food…it was an absolute blast!

Another great travel vlog.
Btw: how’s the family in Chicago? You mentioned having to rush back. All good?
Unfortunately my grandpa passed away and I didn't make it there in time, but I am very grateful for our van, as I had seen him more in the last couple years than I would have without it!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Sorry to hear that, but it's always comforting when you can look back and know you had that extra time. My wife had a similar experience with her dad when she got to visit him in Brazil just before his passing.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Jim and I are very sorry about your Grandpa passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy to you and your family.
I love seeing how visitors see the city I live in. You definitely showed the best of it. Unfortunately the city has some very bad sides that the locals see daily.
You can say that for just about every city. We know quite a few locals that absolutely love living there! Thanks and thanks for watching.
@@AdventuresofAplusK live in spokane but have traveled alot and can say the same. Spokane definitely has alot of issues including the largest homeless camp in Washington but I couldn't be prouder to call anywhere else my home. Pretty much any city of its size has comparable issues.
@@teamextremepkjust an fyi... a portion of Spokane homeless were given one-way bus tickets from Seattle and Portland. Spokane has also taken in a lot of Ukraine and Afghan refugees.
My father helped to weld that big red wagon!!!!
I lived 19 years in Spokane, it’s a beautiful area especially River front park and Manito Park. Miss the area
Awesome! We loved our time there and can't wait to go back!
Adam, that Kiiiiiiid joke was baaaaaaaaaad. Spokane looks really beautiful.
😂😂😂
This video was JAM PACKED! The Spokane Falls - the Skyride - the Cochinito TACOS! - the Ladybugs, the deer, the flying geese! - the LEMON SCONES! - the Manito Park gardens! - The amazing views at the Fire Lookout and Vista House! - RAFTING!! - the PIZZA - and the ICE CREAM! and all the BEAUTIFUL scenery!! Who needs Alaska?! (Joking) Thanks for such great and amazing videos! Bless you on your way.
It was such an awesome few days! SO many things to see and do and we had a blast! Glad you enjoyed it!
WAY TO GO @visitspokane for stepping up! We feel every city, state, providence should partner with you two! Outstanding video! Tacos, ice cream, pizza, apples and amazing views! Loved the river rafting! Great video guys! ~Cara 💖👏👏
Thank y'all so much for always cheering us on! Getting to work with them was such an honor! ❤️
We totally agree that every tourism board should partner with A&K. You do the best job ever.
Adam and Kathryn, your content is fantastic, from camera angles, drone footage, food critique, music and information, and above all, your editing skills. Great talent indeed.👍😊💙🇮🇪🇺🇲
Thank you so much Don, we super appreciate the kind words!
Your welcome and you both deserve it.👍😊
This video could be straight off the Travel Channel! Fantastic work y’all 👏
Thanks, Ashley!
You two so inspire us! Glad you are back in the lower…. Just added Spokane to the bucket list. Thanks for being such positive, bright and warm folk! 😊
It's good to be back and get to share places that are a bit easier to get to! 😃 Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
We in Spokane will welcome you with open arms !
Spokane is truly a hidden gem of a tourist spot. Your dollar goes a long ways, the food is incredible, and there is no shortage of activities no matter what time of year it is.
hi grettings from calgary Ab. much enjoyed your vid from Spokane, so close to my province. such a lovely city thank you for sharing, always looking forward to the next. love you guys!!!
I love Eastern Washington! Spend as much time there as I can.... Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for filling in the blanks for me. I was there 3 weeks ago but didn't have time to see all of Manito Park or the Waterfront, even though I explored twice. I didn't know about the garbage goat! I didn't expect to like Spokane so much and friends couldn't understand why I would go but I'm glad I did. I'm sharing your video.
Thank you so much! ❤️
What?!? You were in Spokane?! I live in Spokane and I’ve been following you guys for years. So cool!! ❤
Ahhh would've been fun to run into you!
@@AdventuresofAplusK yes!!
Welcome to my neck of the woods. You chose some of the best hikes.😀 Thanks for sharing some cool places to eat--new ones for me to try! ~Lynnette
Love. Spokane. And your video 📸 is gorgeous!!!! Safe travels
You guys are the greatest. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
My husband and I are retired and live in Spokane Valley. We have been following your adventures and I was super excited you visited our city! Great job, we love your videos. ❤
We had a fabulous time there! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the lovely video. I am planning to visit Spokane next summer.
Yay! We hope you have a great time! Lots to do in the area, especially in the summer!
You sold us on checking out Spokane one day.
Thanks,
Doug and Pam
Belen, New Mexico U.S.A.
Glad you liked my hometown! I don't live there any more but I miss the area. I like that it has 4 real seasons, low humidity (I think about 13" of rain annually), all the outdoors opportunities nearby (50 lakes in 50 miles), and you can drive an hour in any direction and have desert, rolling wheat fields, forest, mountains, etc. Big enough city to get anything you need but not huge and packed.
Gah!! This is where I’ve lived the past 25 years so it was super exciting to see your take on it. You even taught me quite a bit I wasn’t aware of. 🎉👏🏻👍🏻
Spokane quickly rose high on our list of favorite places! What a gem it is! Thanks and thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I shared your video on my Facebook, telling my local friends to watch it because it will renew their appreciation for our local area. Also, my husband and I hike to that Liberty Lake waterfall every spring and it is amazing that time of year.
Thank you so much for sharing it! We hope they enjoy! The Liberty lake area is so beautiful and we'd love to see the waterfall after spring snowmelt!
Thanks for giving Spokane some love!
We ❤️ Spokane! Thanks and thanks for watching
That park is beautiful! Pastries look good too.
Hello! Randomly came across your video, and it’s absolutely lovely to see others enjoying a city that i love so much. Spokane is my home, born and raised. Glad you can see the beauty here and spend some time!
We love Spokane! So much beauty there! Thanks for watching!
You two are BACK!!!❤
yey Spokane! I live in Spokane havent seen anyone do a review of our city, the best seasons is definitely fall and spring out here, gives me new appreciation for where I live.
Hello Adventurers😊😊, Spokane is a great place to check out. The white river rafting surprised me a lot. Especially with it being in the city. Hey, y'all eating all these goodies...not fair!!!😄😄😄. Give me that ice cream😋😋😋. OUTSTANDING VIDEO👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.
The rafting was so fun! So much good food!
I love Spokane! I went to EWU in Cheney. I'm living appx 2 hours east of Spokane. I go there frequently!
Awesome! We had a blast!
Love the outtakes at the end of your videos. Wow now I want to go to Spokane wa.
How beautiful. Love the falls
Those falls are epic! Thanks for watching!
I have lived in Spokane almost my whole life and seriously love it here.
We loved it too!
We watched this last week at home in Michigan and now here we are on spring break in Indaba Coffee!! Thanks so much!
Ooooo love that place! Have fun!
This was great - definitely makes me want to visit Spokane!
Love! I went to college in Spokane and then lived and worked there from 2019-2020. It's underrated and still somewhat undiscovered. Unparalleled easy access to outdoor recreation without the crowds!
I love this! Was just in Spokane in July and you hit all the best spots I know. Glad to see Manito park is just as beautiful in September as it is in July! Thanks for making this one!
What fun with the giant flyer slide and the raft trip!!! The gardens were beautiful!
That slide is so fun! And rafting was a blast!
Thanks for an interesting view of Spokane and the area. Until next time... Travel safe
I’ll be there in three weeks! Visiting a friend that moved there
That's awesome! We hope you have a great time!
Spokane looks so beautiful!!!! Thanks for another amazing video.
Thanks, Patricia!
Yes well done! Still so much more of Spokane to explore.
Thanks! Yes indeed there is tons to do in Spokane!
Wow! This brought me back in time when I was a student at GU in 1980's.
It's always interesting coming across videos of my home city. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
Green Bluff has great events and some wonderful gems hidden away. I wish I remembered where that one chocolatier shop was.
The true magic of Spokane is the outdoor access for any water activity and in the winter there is tons of skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Next time you visit you could paddleboard at Porcipine Bay, go sailing in Bayview, hit Silverwood theme park, disc golfing at several courses in the area with wonderful wildlife and views, and Priest Lake is a local treasure (especially up by Lionshead.
I love in Spokane glad you came to visit!
Great video of Spokane and a favorite plus Grand Coulee Dam. You guys are habit forming. Love Alaska videos all of them.
This looks incredible! We recently went rafting and loved it so much we can’t wait to go again!❤
It was our first time and it was a blast!
Definitely the most beautiful place I've lived. I've been here over 10 years and still haven't experienced everything it has to offer.
There’s so much to do and see!
A big thumbs up to you guys! Thank you for not only your enthusiasm but all of your suggestions. You thoroughly went to many places in Spokane. I've lived here now for a year having moved from Southern California and now know a lot of restaurants, coffee bars, hiking areas, parks and farms to visit. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot, Dave! That means a lot to us!
Excellent episode guys!
Spokane is just beautiful! Sunset picnic how fun! The restaurants and coffee shops look top knotch! Adam after experiencing the Arctic Ocean dip the Spokane River must have been like bath water😄. Ice cream treat, oh ya!! Walter's Farm looked fun!! My husband and I will definitely plan to go to Spokane! September looked like a good time of year. Happy travels!

Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Thanks for visiting Spokane and showing off all it has to offer! I moved here 35 years ago and have still never ridden the gondola over the falls, I live less than 2 miles away 🤦♂️
Oh you gotta check it out! 😊
great video... i live in Coeur d'Alene... and love this area of the country
Wow amazing place to visit 🥰🥰🥰
Modern and beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
That food 😋😋😋
Stay healthy
Greetings from Pacific 🙏
Wow! So glad you covered Spokane! I some university years in Spokane but was far too busy to check out most of this awesome stuff! Going to have to go back there now!!
We hope you can make it back! Lots to do and see there! ❤️
Thank you for sharing. You folks are helping me see and experience what I can while living on the central Coast of California.
That looks an amazing place, never heard of it before but looks like a great place to visit, thanks again for a great video
Seattle's not the only city that starts with and S and ends with an E worth checking out in Washington! Thanks for watching!
Lived in Spokane for many years. Y’all hit soo many gems. Well done! Glad you enjoyed it.
We had a blast! Thanks and thanks for watching!
You went to all our favorite places😊 Glad you enjoyed our hometown. We love your channel. Happy travels! Mike and Stacy
❤️❤️
Wanted to let you know that I just got home (to Toronto, Canada) from visiting my cousins and family in Spokane and we went to several of your recommendations. I especially love checking out your coffee shop recos! I even took my cousin to places she had never been and she lives there! Keep up the good work!
Hello beautiful people, I enjoy all of your videos but this one OMG. You captured a bit of everything, lakes, food, hike and the garden..so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the beauty with us. Always appreciated.😊
We tried to jam pack this one! Thanks and thanks for watching!
The Kennebec River in the Forks in Maine has class 3 to 4 rapids. Great fun. Spokane river looks nice and that Granite cabin looked nice with mighty beams.
What a great city. So much to do! Great video y’all, ❤️
Thanks, David!
Amazing scenery! I can’t believe I was there but only to catch a plane after a Montana visit. Next time, I spend time there! I love your videos! Thanks for all you do!
And…I must try the lemon latte!
I enjoyed the Japanese flower garden. Koi was big. Loved the other gardens as well. The roses were beautiful. White water rafting looked fun. The pastry your Husband got with the white chocolate & lemon icing looked delicious. Avocado toast looked inviting. I love going to farms like you did. I'd rather have homemade over store bought anyday. Enjoyed your video.
We definitely prefer homemade and local things as well! Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
I remember our family flew into Spokane and drove to glacier National park from there, we didn’t have time to explore the city but now I want to go back and check it out someday!! We were also stunned by the beauty of Idaho during our drive, a hidden gem!
That’s another huge perk of Spokane! It’s so close to so many amazing places
really good video. Spokane is a treasure
The Vista house during ski/snowboard season is so much fun !
I bet! We'd love to see it in winter!
Welcome back to the lower 48. Thanks for allowing me to journey with you, except now I have less of a desire to go to Alaska as I feel like I've already been there. My wife and I join the two of you on your love for Mexican food.
We're glad we can share our adventures! Mexican food is one of our favs! Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed this, thanks so much!
👍😀
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Fire towers are so cool! We visited one on our recent trip to West Va. We couldn't stay over because it was reserved for the night. If you ever get to WV, check out Thorny Mountain Fire Tower in the Seneca State Forest.
Oh how fun! We'll definitely have to look that up next time we're in WV. We love it there!
If you haven't made the Centennial trail down to Coeur d'Alene and Wallace I truly hope you get to do it someday! Waiting for your next pit stop...Safe travels!
We've been on bits and pieces of it and been to Wallace (we have a video on riding the Route of the Hiawatha) and Coeur d'Alene and both are awesome spots!
The Centennial Trail in Spokane is a gorgeous stretch! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I live just over the state line in Idaho and go to Spokane occasionally. Some places are nice. You caught the falls before they opened the dam in Post Falls, ID, to lower the water level in Lake Coeur d'Alene. It would be raging after they do. Great video!! We did my youngest daughter's senior pictures at Manito Park.
Spokane's on my list of cities to visit. I'm glad you did a feature on them and I'm totally checking out Green Bluff Farms when I go. That centennial trail looks gorgeous too. Reminds me a little of Great Falls Park in Northern Virginia.
The Green Bluff Farms are a ton of fun! Spokane is awesome!
Those were some great places! I liked that they are all different, it's not just the great trails but also what to see in the city. That goat trashcan is terrific! I always crave whatever you guys are eating everything seems so fresh with flavor. Can't wait for your next video. 🌻🐕🥰
There is lots to do there not only for outdoorsy people, but just about anyone!
OMG! I was just in Spokane the end of September! I must have done alright on my adventures there, as many of them you did as well, including sliding down the wagon slide! The Riverfront Park area was pretty awesome. I was at the gardens, and the Bowl and Pitcher was pretty epic, with a ton of trails! Awesome work!
Those are all must visit spots! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Another great place to try to visit in the future. thanks for sharing your videos!!
Thank you! ❤️
Another great episode. Thanks. I watch on TV so I need to catch up with my comments and thumbs up. You two are literally the best. I look forward to your episodes like I looked forward to Saturday morning cartoons as a kid.
Thank you! ❤️
Very very beautiful views!!! 😍💖 & Those tacos looked so delicious. 😋 You guys definitely inspire me to want to get out more and experience different things, and I have been. ☺️
Oh that’s awesome to hear! Thanks and thank you for watching! ❤️
My hometown! Don't live there now, but family still does, and I'd definitely move back if I could. For outdoorsy people, it's fantastic!
Oh ya! We loved it! So much so that we looked at real estate 😂
Great vid! So fun seeing you work with the tourism boards. They are lucky to have your partnership as you highlight things so well. I'm thinking I definitely need to bring the family out here if not in Fall maybe for a spring break trip one year.
Those would be perfect times to visit! Thanks, Nate! We’re thankful we can sprinkle these partnerships in every now and then
You guys are amazing! I love all your adventures you go on. Your editing, creativity and picture taking skills are second to none. I actually live in the Spokane area, and periodically go to most of these places you showed everyone. Our family goes kayaking on the “Little”Spokane river, picks fruit at Greenbluff, hike on Mt. Spokane, goes to Liberty lake in the summer, and since our kids were small we’ve always hit “The Scoop” on the South Hill for their coveted Salted Carmel.
Things to do if you ever return:
-Hike Coeur’dAlene’s Tubbs hill
-Kayak the “Little Spokane river -Bike on the centennial trail
-Hike the Painted Rocks area
-Scooter ride around Riverfront park
-Hoopfest in the summertime
-Bloomsday marathon
Other great places to eat that are not in your video:
Soulful soups
The Milk Bottle
Cole’s Restaurant (GF)
The 1898 Public House
The Wild Sage Restaurant
The Steamplant Square
Good luck on your Adventures!
I’ll keep watching your videos 👋🏼
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us!
We'll definitely be back and will check out some of those spots!
you guys had me at lemon and butterscotch coffee 🥰
We really enjoy your videos! You take us to places we could never visit, and you make us smile! ❤
Thank you! ❤️
Another beautifully filmed and informative video. You two are such a lovely couple with a great love of life. Thanks for continuing to share your adventures and stay safe. 😀
Thank you so much, Emma! Thanks for watching!
The food looks so delicious 😋
Never knew there was so much to see and do in That area; and the ice cream; in heaven, thanks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎😎😎😎
There's tons to do and lots of good food! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I lived in Spokane for 12 years. It's a really cool place. I miss it. You two did a great video 🙂❤
We've just got back from a couple of weeks in Morocco and did a group tour. Your video released just as we were setting off and a couple in our tour were from Spokane of all places! The English Garden with the conservatory in Manito park looked like a mini version of Kew Gardens, but the Japanese garden was very impressive, especially when you consider the park is free!! Your charcuterie board looked delicious and what a fantastic spot to enjoy it at. The rafting looked like a lot of fun. It would probably be my first choice over hiking believe it or not! Saw on social media what you've been up to recently and so happy for you both. Especially jealous of Yellowstone!
Morocco sounds amazing! That's on our list to visit one day! We are excited to see your videos from there if you filmed!
Oh how funny! Manito Park was a gorgeous spot! Rafting was soooo much fun! We have to do that again somewhere!
Thank you! Yellowstone was so awesome! We had a great time with Kathryn's parents.
I LOVE Spokane!! We spent a full week in the area and still missed stuff you showed in this video. I guess we need to go back! 😉 You guys are definitely my new favorites ❤
There’s tons to do there! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Another wonderful video that makes us want to visit there. You two do the best job and we think you should be in demand for tourist boards everywhere. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
I dont normally watch this kind of content but living in spokane i had to watch because i was curious what other people had to say and you show the true beauty of spokane that most people dont see because usually you you'll see the homeless or lower quality of spokane im really happy to see someone enjoying the beautity of washington in general especially spokane because its a beautiful area as long as you know the good areas
Thanks so much for watching! We appreciate your comment!
So beautiful
Wow, you two always pack so much into just a few days. Great tourism video and recommendations. Will need to visit Eastern WA someday. Thanks and safe travels.
❤️❤️ thanks, JR!
I’m from Spokane. Born & raised :)
I have friends who just moved there and hopefully they have discovered all these gems! We’ll be very excited to check these places out ourselves when we go to visit!
Awesome! We hope you get to experience some or all of these places!
Missing new videos from you guys - hope everything's OK. Meanwhile - watching old videos - many I've never seen. Just watched horseback riding in Kentucky - what a FUN video! and the Hot Brown Burger - SOOO GOOD!! Bless you guys.
Excellent vlog and everything you put out this summer was awesome! The footage, narration and pace of your vlogs is really impressive. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!
