I was barley awake till I saw that, then I was hit with nostalgia, I remember seeing spider man (2002) and playing these games afterwards in the lobby, the energy hit differently when watching a good marvel movie and playing the character in a game right after.
My eyes did that and I started crying tears of joy.
So happy for the FGC as of late. We eating GOOD fam! Imagine a MvC4 reveal at EVO?!

But Marvel vs Capcom 2 has been on PS3 digitally. And on Arcade1UP units. But yeah, I guess it's back since the PS3 console generation.
I know everyone is on MvC (and rightly so) but the Punisher is a pretty rare arcade game. I only played it once back in the day.
I was afraid to say it's rare in another comment I made to someone, but I'm glad to see someone else confirm this. I also experienced an inability to find it, but heard people talk about it back in the day. So for me it was more legend than anything until later on.
It's very cool they are finally making a port of this somewhere to buy.
@@cornbredx yeah I actually collect arcade games and well money and floor space willing I'd like to have more(I have four). I've heard a lot of other collectors talk about how hard it is to find a Punisher board let alone a full machine.
I remember playing the game at my favorite Arcade/Pizza Parlor/Pool hall. I don't remember beating it and excited to have the chance to play it in full.

IN my opinion Capcom Vs. SNK 2 is the best fighting game ever. I have never bought one of those Arcade1up machines yet though I've surely been wanting one, but can't decide which one I want to pick. BUT if they did a Capcom Vs. SNK collection arcade1up machine I'd surely be picking that up. SO it's obvious I'd so want a Capcom vs. SNK collection.... also wish we could put it in Capcom head for a Rival Schools and Power Stone collection.

If you want even a slight chance of a new Marvel vs Capcom game, buy this collection. This is very likely them testing the waters. If this doesn't sell decently, there's zero chance of getting a new MvC game until 15 years from now when they rerelease this collection to test the waters again. Support this series people, PLEASE!

Rumor is MT Framework, which is the Capcom game engine the collection runs on, is no longer supported by Microsoft. It is still supported by Sony on the PS4 and Nintendo and of course PC can run anything. I guess Capcom didn't want to spend the time and money to put the collection on the newer RE Engine.

Still got my Dreamcast; it's on the TV stand.

I'm hype for this, but l,I spent quite some $$ a year and half ago getting a Japanese and American Saturn, with the all in One carts and copies of X men Vs Sf And Marvel Super Heroes vs SF becuase I never imagined this game would ever happen.

This is a fighting game, the fighting game genre is already niche as is already out side of the core FGC, I don't really see this game preforming to great with casuals out side of fighting game enthusiast, and the less eyes on this game the less of chances the MVC franchise will get a sequel one day. On top of that, this is a collection of games that are 25+ years old which will already turn people away and at the very tip top of all that to my knowledge there is NO CROSS PLAY OPTIONS, they're dividing the player base even more then what is necessary. I hope and pray that we get an Xbox One/ Xbox series X|S as well as an native playstation 5 port one day.*

I think it has to do more about Activision having past licensed games and trying to make a deal getting them on game pass or and Disney and Capcom said no and backed out of the deal or both they avoided it entirely by not informing Xbox again I am making a guess

YEAH! I've been feeling the same way, I'm also a Metroid fan and a hardcore Zelda fan. But I've been wanting a convenient way to play Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men VS Street Fighter, Marvel 1, and Marvel 2. Dreams came true today.
And then they throw in The Punisher for good measure what the crap?!?! This was the best kind of surprise. Marvel 2 would have been a win, but then they threw in a whole collection... man.

Probably Bc Activision is now part of Xbox and in the past Activision did a lot of licensed games for Marvel Spider-Man , Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-men and wanted them on Game Pass and Capcom and Disney backed out
