      Anyone who lives in or near Spokane will tell you otherwise it's become a drug sesspool like Seattle with lawlessness running rampant thanks to bad governing. Prepare to be robbed and or shit at people will pull guns on you over road rage or because they think you looked at them wrong. Having grown up here and lived here 90% of my life go across to Idaho your way better off

    It's waaaay to conservative, waaay too cold in the winter, and too isolated from the rest of the world.

    I grew up in Spokane but moved away after college. I do come back once a year or so. I agree that if you are an outdoor person, there is much to do close by. Growing up, it was 20 minutes from dad coming home and hooking the boat to the car to being out on the lake fishing. Where I live now it's about 1.5 hours to fishing. So, 20 minutes was awesome. I do think you are downplaying the winter a bit. Growing up -20 happened every few years. That isn't much fun. I do miss Spokane sometimes. But I don't come back in the winter.

    I love the small town/big city vibes of Spokane. I visted first on a road/camping trip through all of the western states in 2020. It was the only city I could see myself moving to, considering affordability. I brought my boyfriend (now husband) last year in late Sept. We live in Austin and Spokane was looking better and better but the housing prices have gone up significantly since my 1st visit. Not like Austin has, but enough to question relocating. I fear it won't really be more affordable than Austin next year when we're realistically able to move and the lower wages wouldn't make sense for us in the long run. On both trips I didn't find the homelessness issues to be dangerous or out of the norm of any bigger city these days. With inflation and post-covid there is a homelessness crisis happening in our country. I feel it's tipped into dangerous here in Austin, Spokane didn't feel this way.
    I really love this video highlighting all of the city's advantages, which were clear to me on first visit. I really still hope to move there.

      @Haydnhalsted  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! I actually keep a pretty close eye on the Austin market. You guys have definitely seen a lot of price drops in the last few months after the market cooled off but I expect Austin to still stay about $100,000 more expensive than Spokane in home sale price.

      Honestly, a realtor wants to sell home's, they will not tell you the truth. Im here now and downtown you will get beat up and robbed, the homelessness and drug problem is out of control. Now if you have big money then move south in Spokane or far north spokane. Eastside and downtown are very bad.....

      @@LTD-7 surely, realtors wanna sell homes. The thing though is, claiming they, or specifically this guy, is not telling the truth is a grave accusation don't you think? The guy literally has a video about why you shouldn't move to Spokane. To me, that doesn't sound like someone that's just want to sell homes for the sake of profit/selling homes.

    Thank you for the well done video of Spokane, One of the main reasons I'm leaving Seattle is to get away from the liberal nightmare it has become. On your next video I hope you bring up the policical environment, the cost of food and gasoline and the medical services available. Many people want to escape from the liberal nightmare of Seattle, Portland and California and are looking for some fiscal sanity. Liberals are fiscally incapable of running a city without excessive taxes and expensive government giveaways.

    The Washington State Governor Halted the North South Freeway Project in Spokane in the second phase of the more than 1/2 finished Transportation infrastructure project. The project halted until 2028 in favor of personal list of pet projects. This is how Spokane has been Treated by Olympia, as the poor stepchild in a Blue State "since November 11, 1889."
    Spokane is heavily Taxed, and business regulated by The State of Washington. If you move to Spokane you will be in a Blue State with a slim to none chance of this ever changing. If you are a true Conservative don't be fooled by "The Conservative Town" Talk. Still there are worse places to live and 4 Season weather is second to none.
