I think this type of lectures is far more important and relevant than sermons about the Divine in religious institutions, regardless of which religion. How is one to have a relationship with the Divine if we do not know how to have healthy relationships? There is no training to become a parent so it is a hit and miss enterprise. No wonder we have the problems we have in the world. This man is godsend.
His description of the nature of God is that of a good Father. How could God love us any less than we love our own children. I believe God used this man to help heal us. He is a Godsend.
I was just thinking that, watching these lectures for the first time - if everyone had an hour or two a week of something like this, that would probably be so much more healing to society than all religious institutions' services combined!
Tony Robins talks about the 6 emotional needs and I thought that he came up with that because he talks about how he thought about it but here John is talking about them decades before him 😲
@@BeingMe23 he says that they occurred to him like the need for certainty he says that it came to his mind when he was talking to his wife and he never mentions Bradshaw or other people that had that idea before him.
I never ask anyone how they are doing. The odds are they will lie. If I want to know, I just won't shame them and then I patiently wait for them to show me.
I didn’t grow up in a too rigid family. I was allowed to play and have fun and my parents would play and have fun with me. But still I’m here with a huge anxiety disorder, disorganised attachment to others and zero sense of self worth or self esteem. Videos like this are great but honestly for people like me they just make it worse. Like we don’t even deserve to feel miserable about ourselves because our parents weren’t alcoholics
Keep learning. You must listen closely and read the books. Your needs were not met, and it’s a tall order for any parent to do. Nobody does it perfectly. At some point, you were made to feel unsafe in yourself. Keep exploring and uncovering more. Work with a therapist. Best of luck to you.

I couldn't agree more. It's so completely useless to tech people about things that no one knows if they are true.

This is so helpful. I wish I heard it sooner. But its not too late.
Such a good man.

Tells you something about Robbins. Bradshaw is the real deal.
@syourke3 John copied it from someone else too.
@@BeingMe23 you are guessing and can't say from whom.
@zzulm He states all his sources in the videos.

💕💕💕 thank you so much for this lecture series. 💕💕💕
Most people are so distracted with trying to get their emotional needs met. They don't have time to live their true self.
brutal gut wrenching
This video has so many Amens! It’s crazy
One thing I do to grow up is to learn to love and respect all sentient beings..That's why I'm vegan

This should read "THE HEALTHY FAMILY". 0:52
15:46 what is a good relationship answer.
19:05 codependency part.
You’ve labeled this wrong. This is “Part 2: The Healthy Family”, NOT “Part 3: The Unhealthy Family”
Thank You for letting me know. It has been corrected.
