I had premature twins in 1980 and I named them Rachel Michelle and Rhiannon Marie. Rachel was 1 pound and 7 ounces, and Rhiannon was 1 pound and 13 ounces. It was a 5 month struggle, but I finally brought them home. As they grew, they developed disabilities due to the prematurity. Rachel has oxygen induced blindness while Rhiannon developed a bleed and they inserted a shunt to remove fluid that would build up. Because of the fluid build up, Rhiannon had cerebral palsy, but she learned fast and won a 4 year academic scholarship to college. In 2000 her shunt started malfunctioning. She fought the good fight, but we lost her to blood clots in her lungs. She was only 22. I miss her so much and whenever I hear Rhiannon on the radio, I feel like she is saying "Hello Mama". She loved this song and I loved her and this song. Still do........

RIP Miss Perfect, a huge lose
Her sound and her musicianship. Her classical training was a touchstone for the other members of the band. Her ability to tell if a song sounded good objectively, to trained ears. And that, I think, gave other members both more awareness of what good musicianship was and more confident, once she had vetted it, that what they were doing had validity. The irony is that her voice is the bluesiest of the three, arguably the least classical. But that reminds me of a related point, which was that she had the best musical taste in the band. RIP the aptly named Miss Perfect.

Stevie once said in an interview that she literally became a millionaire after the song / album was released. Before she became famous she was a struggling waitress. Wow one song made her !
My sister loved FWM and Stevie in particular. She and I were born in '65 and '66, respectively. I lost my sister a few years ago. Hearing this reminds me of her and the joy she had hearing great music and vocalized in her way. RIP Tricia. I love you. Miss you so much.
The raw, pure unabashed sincerity in his song is so visceral in every note. This whole album is oozing with the passion, love, anger, hope, disappointment, vitriol, desire, disgust, guilt, and indignation that could only come out of 4 musicians that knew each other so well musically and whose lives were so thoroughly entwined. We'll never see anything like it again.
hmmm is this more in reference to Rumours? self-titled (the album Rhiannon is from) didn't quite have as much about anger and vitriol and disgust as Rumours did. this album and Mirage feel a bit more serene
So, I’ve heard this one a thousand times. Love it. Never did I hear a version where a wardrobe malfunction when shredding on the guitar which leads to a super dope keyboard solo and then to Stevie (5:00) just going off! Hands down best version, to me. Stamp that! 2023!!
Dang, sing it Stevie!! By far my favorite version of Rhiannon! I saw Fleetwood Mac in Dallas a few years ago and they were amazing! Still one of my favorites today. RIP Christine McVie, you are so loved and missed.

I always did like them a lot, but this . . . this is beyond anything else she's ever done. Gonna listen some more now. A BIG THANK YOU to Sky Vibes!
2024, I was born in 1996 in Siena, Italy. I love all rock from the 60s to the 2000s, especially the 70s and 80s. This song shakes my soul. This song is pure art. Happy New Year art connoisseurs!
We Had our own Woodstock here, in Sunbury, Melbourne, Australia. 1977, called Rockarena. Fleetwood Mac were the main performers. It was stinking hot, but we sat with mats, and towels loving listening to all the bands. I have heard every single version of Stevie Nicks perform Rhiannon, but, nothing comes close to the version that she sang that day. It is in mind, and in my heart, forever.
This is just so awesome: usually I don't like live versions as much as studio ones. But there is such power in this performance that it outshines the brilliant original. Stevie's vocal performance is up there with Janis Joplin, and she looks totally incredible here. Her then boyfriend puts in a blistering guitar solo, and the ever-wonderful Christine adds some great keys, and joins in on the vocals too, adding a lovely touch. But the night was Stevie's who proves with this song (written by her) beyond any doubt that she is one of the all-time rock giants.
My Gawd the stars lined up! Every musician is in their element and displaying the highest version of themselves, and Stevie? Stevie is channeling and delivering otherworldly pure, raw, unadulterated talent! Brilliance by all! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Stevie's version of Rhiannon on this TV special simply just blows me away !! WOW 😲 I can clearly see Janis Joplin all the way in Stevie's voice and mannerisms.
One of the best live female vocal performances I've ever heard. It gives me goose pimples. Clearly coked up and totally lost in the song but she never drops a note. Sensational.
This performance is my daughters favorite version of Rhiannin. I mention this because on June 9 she delivered a beautiful baby girl that she named Rhiann Dream……. On behalf of our love for this song and now we have a Dreamer a little Dreamer…. ThankYou Stevie❤

I've never been a big fan of Fleetwood Mac as I was into hard rock. However, this is an unbelievable performance. It gave me chills. Stevie Nicks has some serious chops and has a very soulful voice. Almost Grace slick meets Janice Joplinish. Instrumentals and the cohesion are spot on. Wow, just Wow! I'm a new fan.
jckirlan I agree with you on the vocal influences heard there. I love this performance, but the album cut is just meh. To think it could have been this good. I wonder why it wasn't? Lindsey and Stevie both were at their absolute best vocally here. Both of their vocals have changed with age, but I wonder how Paul McCartney can still belt like he does. I'm thinking he sold his soul lol. Anyways it's all subjective, music, life, the whole human experience.

My sister loved FWM and Stevie in particular. She and I were born in '65 and '66, respectively. I lost my sister a few years ago. Hearing this reminds me of her and the joy she had hearing great music and vocalized in her way. RIP Tricia. I love you. Miss you so much.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister.
@sherrysawyer6819 thank you Sherry.
Probably the best performance in music history. ❤
Steve Nick's hair stylist should get an award for this... wow.
70s girl
The raw, pure unabashed sincerity in his song is so visceral in every note. This whole album is oozing with the passion, love, anger, hope, disappointment, vitriol, desire, disgust, guilt, and indignation that could only come out of 4 musicians that knew each other so well musically and whose lives were so thoroughly entwined. We'll never see anything like it again.
Did you mean ‘this’ song rather than ‘his’ song? And 5 rather than 4 musos? A couple of typos perhaps?
hmmm is this more in reference to Rumours? self-titled (the album Rhiannon is from) didn't quite have as much about anger and vitriol and disgust as Rumours did. this album and Mirage feel a bit more serene
Totally agree. Sung and played with passion and understanding. Always will be a favourite.
That’s one of the best musical performances I’ve ever seen. Music is so powerful
2024 who’s still listing to what’s for me the best version of Rhiannon ? Next month I’m gonna cry in Amsterdam attending her concert……❤
What a voice, what a song. Once upon a time there was music ❤
Stevie Nicks was gorgeous when she was young! 😊
Stevie is forever gorgeous ❤
Agree and she still is.
Isn't everybody!!
So, I’ve heard this one a thousand times. Love it. Never did I hear a version where a wardrobe malfunction when shredding on the guitar which leads to a super dope keyboard solo and then to Stevie (5:00) just going off! Hands down best version, to me. Stamp that! 2023!!
She's one of the best live singers out there. Her live voice sounds almost identical to the studio recording. Amazing
Hello Jodie how are you doing today??
Are You alive?
This is better than the studio version.
Dang, sing it Stevie!! By far my favorite version of Rhiannon! I saw Fleetwood Mac in Dallas a few years ago and they were amazing! Still one of my favorites today.
RIP Christine McVie, you are so loved and missed.
So true Jhood
That outro was incredible 😭🙌🏾
Love this so much , a goddess singing like a goddess , about a goddess , coz Rhiannon was a bit more than just a witch .
The story of Rhiannon comes from the Mabinogion a collection of ancient Welsh prose.
My friends...This is Miss Stevie Nicks.
Hello Virginia how are you doing today???
@@virginiaknighten4687 I'm good thanks for asking hope you are taking care of yourself over there ? I wish we could be friends and also get to know each other better if you don't mind
Omg the ending is just so chilling! Stevie is one of the best poets ever and forever and always
(Picking my jaw up from the floor and getting back into my chair)
Holy shit.
I never did get to see Fleetwood Mac back in the day, so I didn't have any idea that she had this in her. Jesus. I always did like them a lot, but this . . . this is beyond anything else she's ever done. Gonna listen some more now. A BIG THANK YOU to Sky Vibes!
Jan K : try "THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN". You won't be disappointed.
2024, I was born in 1996 in Siena, Italy. I love all rock from the 60s to the 2000s, especially the 70s and 80s. This song shakes my soul. This song is pure art. Happy New Year art connoisseurs!
God I cried and had goosebumps at the end!! Wtf! Fleetwood! Stevie! Jesus!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the best version of this song
Wow, that's easily the best cut of Rhiannon I've ever seen!
she was an amazing singer and you can not deny her prowess as a lyricist. Her song writing ability was amazing and some of her songs are just timeless
Hello Julie how are you doing today??
The finish of this song is astonishing
This is just so awesome: usually I don't like live versions as much as studio ones. But there is such power in this performance that it outshines the brilliant original. Stevie's vocal performance is up there with Janis Joplin, and she looks totally incredible here. Her then boyfriend puts in a blistering guitar solo, and the ever-wonderful Christine adds some great keys, and joins in on the vocals too, adding a lovely touch. But the night was Stevie's who proves with this song (written by her) beyond any doubt that she is one of the all-time rock giants.
Nice review, dude.
Saw them live on their last run and i was amazed wish i would have caught them in the 70's ,
then you are not a music lover
I am with you.. normally dislike the live versions as they seem to miss something but Stevie at 28 slays with this live version
there is no way to recreate without a second guitar player
it's very strange that they didn't have one
My Gawd the stars lined up! Every musician is in their element and displaying the highest version of themselves, and Stevie? Stevie is channeling and delivering otherworldly pure, raw, unadulterated talent! Brilliance by all! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
OMG this is the best performance of Rhiannon Stevie is the absolute best in the world I love you Stevie keep the best coming you are still going strong at the age of 75 you are still so beautiful ♥️♥️♥️
Stevie absolutely BURIES all the so called singing stars of today...talent, singing, looks, everything...she is awesome.
Stevie's version of Rhiannon on this TV special simply just blows me away !!
WOW 😲
I can clearly see Janis Joplin all the way in Stevie's voice and mannerisms.
I can't !🤣
@@reedbender1179
Yes, Stevie Nicks is prettier than Janis Joplin.
I still love this version of Rhiannon the best.
One of the best live female vocal performances I've ever heard. It gives me goose pimples. Clearly coked up and totally lost in the song but she never drops a note. Sensational.
One of the best perfomances ever. Legendary stuff.
This performance is my daughters favorite version of Rhiannin. I mention this because on June 9 she delivered a beautiful baby girl that she named
Rhiann Dream……. On behalf of our love for this song and now we have a Dreamer a little Dreamer…. ThankYou Stevie❤
Hello!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day. Stay Safe!
One of the most dazzling and hypnotic songs of all time!!!Stevie Nicks is sooo beautiful too!!!!
Hi! Hear to remind you of this beautiful song ❤
This is real art

In the 70’s the haircut was a long shag Stevie had her hair like that. It should make a comeback I love that haircut ❤️✌️🎶🌙🎼

@@gregnormal thank you, u as well
@@melissawells5779 Hey! That is very good to know, I just can’t stop myself from listening to this song anytime am alone! If I may ask which of all their songs is your favourite? You take care and be safe
One of the best live performances of our generation
I just love how she can sing while looking you straight in the eye
We that grew up to see this on friday night 1976 are grateful to witness live performances like these.
Hello Cindy how are you doing today???
I'm barely old enough to remember the original release of "Rumours"..
I LOVE Stevie and Lindsey, and Christine, RIP.
But, Stevie Nicks??
YES
@@sonjacombs233 Agreed. This version ruined the album cut for me. It's far and away a better version
Have You Woken Up Yet
I fully agree!!
@@crabman732 Eversince hearing this version, I liked this better than the one in the album. Stevie likes to reinvent most of her songs in live versions. A very creative and talented woman!
Took my breath away this. Maybe one of the finest vocal performances I’ve ever seen
Happy Birthday Stevie Nicks!
To this day, one of the most amazing performances I’ve ever watched. Goosebumps every time.
They will never be beaten in music they will always be #1
I had the privilege of seeing this group in their last tour with all the original members! Priceless!
Legit goosebumps at that ending
He is not just playing that guitar. He is loving it. That is purely music making. Loving every note. 🤤
This is my fav version of the song 😩
To this day , the greatest rock vocal performance, EVER.
aakar88 Agreed, incredible performance. Can't get this one out of my head. BUT...go check out Heart's "Crazy On You" from this same show "The Midnight Special", right around this same time. If you love Stevie in this one, Ann Wilson will blow you away.
Jazluvr: Also check out Vanessa Carlton, Wanted from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert.
One of the greatest bands ever.
Performance of the century and the crowds like, meh, not bad, we'll clap a bit.
