This is my absolute favorite performance of this classic song Stevie’s vocals give me chills, and the shear power at the end of this is stunning. It’s almost like she could explode. Wish I could have been there …..This band live was a beast.
Right now Stevie Nicks is on tour. Still rocking it. Sometimes with Billy Joel. Music of my high school years and still so good. Seeing Christine McVie doing harmony with Stevie makes me sad she’s gone. So much talent in one group.
I just saw her last week, and man can she still sing! Her range is lower than it was, but the power and soul is still there in her voice! She performed a whole 2 hour long concert too! Not bad for being 75! I would recommend seeing her on this tour for sure!
Back in the day We couldn't wait for Midnight Special to come on the TV, and We had the local radio station synced to our stereo which kept Up the neighbors, cops came by several times
Thank you Midnight Special for making these Fleetwood Mac videos available to view! I never get tired of watching them. They have such amazing talent and chemistry!
yeah its a shame warner or whoever took all the good videos down, especially of this performance. it was the best quality out there. thank god someone else decided to.
I'm glad you said that, I've been studying voice for years, so, I couldn't put my finger on what was bothering me, and it's the unique sound of her voice, she doesn't sound like anyone else, plus, she does have some vocal skills, which prior to studying, I never thought she did🤔🎵🎶
7 years old when this was performed on this date... Loved it then and love it still. She was such a hottie. And even now still some hotness to her.... One of my crushes in the 80's.....Lol!
When I first saw Lady Stevie Nicks sing, I instantly saw her as the most beautiful, graceful, and interesting human being and her voice was instantly hypnotic and soothing. And now after all these decades, she is the most beautiful, graceful, interesting human being with the most hypnotic voice. She is a true queen!!
She starts out tired, a little nervous. Perfunctory. But then she starts to feel the band, and the band starts groovin, and she starts to feel her mojo. And then the Band see's her start to take off into one of her "things" and that inspires them into an even deeper groove. Now they're rippin and Jammin, and Stevie starts to channel her inner Rhiannon, as whe spookily belts out this great tune. A sight to behold.
I agree. I saw her do several shows, every song to this level, which is absurd. She's kept it purring and while she's not even close to where she was here in her 20s [who is?] she's not bad for 75. I've seen her recently and while the voice is okay, she doesn't have the music passion that she once did. I suppose after singing the same songs for nearly 50 years, it would be impossible. But she's out there slinging it from time to time.
I wanna go back so bad. Listening to this music as a young kid...I had no idea how much it would mean to me when I got old. Everything was so much better back then.

In my senior year high school 1976. A lot of great Midnight Specials this might be the best. Was a great time to be alive and listening to rock and roll
The lighting hitting her bangs and making a perfect shadow framing her face, combined with sparkly makeup - GREAT. Stevie has one of the most beautiful faces in rock ever. And she definitely has talent which stands on its own, regardless of anything else - amazing voice and range! Upon re-watching the video now, during the chorus, are you noticing something? Lindsey hangs back from his mic, while Stevie leans in! And he also has his huge smile on his face at most times, right? He is absolutely blown away by her voice and wanted to create the ultimate platform for her to shine, didn't want to get in the way himself too much. And he doesn't - I can barely hear his signature countertenor during the chorus, while Stevie's full-throated alto bursts forth like angelic tones that we love her for. And she puts so much more heat on her delivery of the chorus then she did on the studio version - I would've been absolutely thrilled to be in the audience on this performance. Though of course I should've said so when I first posted my comment, another wonderful upload, Midnight Special people! Keep it up!
I've been in love with Stevie Nicks since I was a teen and being introduced to FM and her solo albums beginning with Belladonna.🥰🥰🥰Miss Stevie Nicks 🥰🥰🥰
I'm 63 and throughout the 90s and beyond I heard people ask why Stevie Nicks was so revered as a vocalist. I direct all those people to this performance -- before all the blow, and the fights with Lindsey -- there was this. Janis and Tina Turner all rolled up into one little beautiful nymph of a singer who stole every heart she came across. Not that she wasn't still marvelous after -- but this right here? 5:00 and on? This is pure magic.
I'm very late to their music, but I'm loving this performance. Great band, and Nick's voice is extremely unique and strong. They're all very talented! 👍🏻
The best of both Stevie and Ann Wilson came out in 1976. This is the best version of this song I've heard. It's too bad I only heard the radio versions back in.
I love Ann even more actually. I think her voice is even better than Stevie's. Those notes she hits, just wow. Like her and her sisters personalities better too. Thanks for mentioning Ann too. Stevie is incredible too though , just not as much as Ann to me lol .

This is my absolute favorite performance of this classic song Stevie’s vocals give me chills, and the shear power at the end of this is stunning. It’s almost like she could explode. Wish I could have been there …..This band live was a beast.
Amigo ella es fantástica su voz es incomparable
💯💯❤❤❤mi Stevie nick’s love 💗 ever
Right now Stevie Nicks is on tour. Still rocking it. Sometimes with Billy Joel. Music of my high school years and still so good.
Seeing Christine McVie doing harmony with Stevie makes me sad she’s gone. So much talent in one group.
I watched a recording of it on RUclips. It's amazing what she's still capable of.
I just saw her last week, and man can she still sing! Her range is lower than it was, but the power and soul is still there in her voice! She performed a whole 2 hour long concert too! Not bad for being 75! I would recommend seeing her on this tour for sure!
I saw this when I was thirteen years old. I fell in love with Stevie and Fleetwood Mac and have been amazed by them ever since then. RIP Christine.
This is the definitive rendition of Rhiannon
Lindsey Buckingham’s solo @ 3:04 🤘
And some love for the late great Christine McVie @ 3:40
Christine was outstanding. I always loved her voice and she’s just as good as Stevie
agree, this is a timeless version, they were all on point for this one.
love indeed to Christine Perfect and her family.
Oh my I didn't know she had passed.
"Solo" was tuneless nonsense. Sorry but that's what it was.
The entire album is a masterpiece!
Storytellers set to music. Lyrics were so much better back then.
Our pleasure!
yeah its a shame warner or whoever took all the good videos down, especially of this performance. it was the best quality out there. thank god someone else decided to.
Best new channel I just found!

Stevie Nicks has one of the most unique voices ever
someone once described it as "sweetheart of the rodeo"! I thought that fitted rather well.
I'm glad you said that, I've been studying voice for years, so, I couldn't put my finger on what was bothering me, and it's the unique sound of her voice, she doesn't sound like anyone else, plus, she does have some vocal skills, which prior to studying, I never thought she did🤔🎵🎶
47 Years ago today. Absolutely timeless.🙂❤️

It will never be matched...ever ❤ it this so powerful & priceless
Big sound and big hair.
7 years old when this was performed on this date... Loved it then and love it still. She was such a hottie. And even now still some hotness to her.... One of my crushes in the 80's.....Lol!
Fleetwood Mac is how, when, and why I fell in love with music. Phenomenal performance. "Rhiannon" will always be my favorite song of theirs.
This is heart❤ not Fleetwood Mac.
@@wanderingrenegade771 This isn't Heart. Are you high?
That was amazing.
A sight to behold.
word
Nonsense, she did exactly what she wanted to
Ressers-toi un verre...ça va passer...🥴😉
Stevie giving it her all and ripping up those vocal chords. LEGEND ❤
Cords, not chords.
When musicians were musicians no synthesizers all natural true music thank you guy's love and peace from Saint Louis Mo.
Stevie Nicks is such a beauty.
The harmonies between Stevie and Christine are so damn good!
Stevie’s voice was in top shape back then. They sound great in this video.
Everything was so much better back then.
enjoy
keep those kid feelings and you never grow old - because you're always the child of God
George , the local government thieves and badges stole Our house and EVERYTHING in it over back property taxes that are actually extortion They trgetted My Family and Me because We were vulnerable.... They stole a MASSIVE music collection that BELONGS to My Family and Me too
They are demons in human form or whatever creatures they are
No lip syncing, auto tune, just pure talent. She still sounds great at 76 as she did back then.
You mean 1976 ?
@@atmakali9599 It's called talent and hard work, grow up .
Rumors album came out and it was the Top for over a year. Like the Hysteria album but much bigger for its time. Great to be young then.

Not gonna lie… an inspiration.
Fleetwood Mac was soooooo good. Absolute hit making machine in the 70’s and 80’s.
And the 60s with the legendary Peter Green with Black Magic Woman and Albatross
Keep it up!
Bring back bangs. Nothing sexier.
@@jimwind7589what are bangs?
I've been in love with Stevie Nicks since I was a teen and being introduced to FM and her solo albums beginning with Belladonna.🥰🥰🥰Miss Stevie Nicks 🥰🥰🥰

She’s not wearing makeup, that’s sweat.
This song would open up the world to Stevie!!! She was a force of nature!!!
The end is so powerful, amazing
I'm very late to their music, but I'm loving this performance. Great band, and Nick's voice is extremely unique and strong.
They're all very talented! 👍🏻
Christie mcvie absolutely shreds the keys
You watch this and--whatever the internal divisions in the band--they all knew this was the ride of a lifetime. Stunning then and now.
Midnight Special has the best version of Rhiannon.
Peak of their powers, it doesn’t get better than this
This is the best version I’ve ever heard!
Agreed
I actually saw this on TV. I stayed up late on Saturday night to watch this and Don Kirshners (sp) every weekend.
I saw fm in july '76. I was right up front standing only 12 feet from stevie, jax fl. I will never forget her beauty and grace and i nearly fainted when see looked right at me and winked! 😊
The most remembered lineup, and lord have they been magnificent as a live band.
The power and raw emotion of this is off the dial. Perfect rock ‘n roll for the enjoyment of everyone
And, the coke and LSD didn’t hurt
@@billadams5778 Coke and LSD would PREVENT this level of performance, willy
This is still the best musical performance I have ever seen I wish I could have been in the room back then.
Name a band in 2023 who can reach that level of quality. I can't think of any.
Simplemente no existe...son los únicos que trascienden...
That we can’t . Fleetwood Mac is pure magical.
There are loads, but they're not in the popular genres 😉
The Rolling Stones!!
The Strokes
One of my all-time favorite songs, and this is the DEFINITIVE version that should be played on the radio because Stevie becomes possessed and otherworldly ant takes the song to an entirely new level!!!!
Saw Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles and Boz Scaggs in 1976 at Sullivan Stadium for $9.00!!!! Watching this brought me back to that time. What a time it was for some of the best music ever.
LOVE your hairstyle Stevie Nicks 😮💯
It's been like 40 f'n years and I have not seen anybody outside of an anime protagonist rock bangs this well.
No matter what my husband said , I love this song .
I LOVE STEVIE NICKS , AND FLEETWOOD MAC !!
The best quality of this video I've ever seen, Fleetwood Mac's first television appearance with Stevie and Lindsey, just amazing.
I am 57 years old as a kid I used to watch the Saturday Night Live and I saw this as a young man and I was highly impressed with such exceptionalism. Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac will always be right by me.❤❤🤩
Amazing what a truly talented singer can do, unlike many today.
This was the best band in 70's , and Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Steve Miller Band, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, and many more, Stevie is magical in this video, band is the best!
im 26, this is the only song that has my jaw dropped by the end. very thankful for fleetwood mac and anyone who still listens
The Old Welsh witch !! Best live performance by Stevie ! All in all, Fleetwood Mac are one of the Best bands around !!
