@Craigw.Moritz Stephanie Lynn Nicks attended Arcadia High-School during her Sophomore & Junior years from 1964 to 1965. It was at Arcadia High-School where she met her best friend Robin Snyder. It's also where she formed her folk rock band The Changing Times. She transferred up north to the bay area and attended Menlo-Atherton High School in the middle of her Junior year. It was during her Senior year she met Lindsey Buckingham who was a Junior, when they both attended an after-school function where they spent the afternoon harmonizing The Momas & Papas song 'California Dreaming'. Honestly, everyone, this video was first uploaded 13 years ago! And, it’s making a return that really has reignited just how incredible Stevie Nicks IS, even today over 40 years since the video was made! Her voice is so unique! Her typical performances on stage with her flowing lace outfits were a VERY essential part of what made her a one of a kind. Fleetwood Mac, would have never risen to the stature it attained without her. Yes, I’m a guy, and the title saying she was in a mini skirt got my attention. However, in the end I could have cared less about the skirt! To hear her unusual vibrato voice is absolutely captivating. She ruled the stage… that’s all that mattered.
Her voice was so taken for granted by some of us! I just thought she was a singer of our time. But, to this day, there has been NO ONE with a voice like hers! She could sing ballads tenderly, rock songs with angst, and anything else…all in a voice uniquely her own! Rock on STEVIE NICKS!
I love her voice. It's beautiful, unique, and one of a kind... which is what makes her so special. That cookie cutter image of what a voice is "supposed" to sound like has never appealed to me. Every time i've seen her live she always sounded fantastic...plus she has a great connection with the audience.
When I saw her live with FM in the eighties, she went an octave lower on the choruses of her earlier songs to save her voice for the later, more intense ones. She ruined "Rhiannon" and a few others. "Stand Back" was great.

got to meet Stevie and Mick backstage after "Say You Will" concert in El Paso in 2003 where Stevie was presented with a dozen roses. She and Mick were so gracious to their fans; and I've always loved Bob Welch. Watched him perform "Sentimental Lady" with Christine McVie back when he opened for Jefferson Starship.
Fantastic. Stevie Nicks by far has the best voice of any female singer. Sings live. What a rare thing by todays standards. Her talent is absolutely amazing.
This whole gig was so informal and laid back. That’s what I still truly enjoy about it. I was 11 and was listening on I believe WNEW FM or WPLJ. One or the other.
What a gifted writer, singer and artist. Those Mac breakup songs about her and Lindsay were almost painful to watch them perform live. She is *so* unique. I'm glad to see her sober and doing well again.
I've just come to being a Stevie Nicks fan and I can see that she carries most of these songs on the strength of her own voice. It's very distinctive !!! and has a certain edge to it.....damned attractive!!I love it as well as being attracted to it. Sounds GOOD ! ! ! Sing to me Stevie!!!!
Two videos to check out. 'Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks) - The Chain (Demo) - Vocals Only.' And Grace Slick, 'Grace Slick Vocals'. Two great voices unhindered and pure.
Stevie has a natural talent of writing in a song how she feels, she will always be my favorite although she did forget a line in this song with Bob Welch "wake up in the morning.." I'm quite sure she's was aware of it, and my hats off to the Gypsies that remain....so excited she has a new album out 24 Karat songs from the vault,I'm so proud if her for over coming her addictions, she truly is the QUEEN of rock n roll!!!
Obviously Stevie & Mick were having a blast, This is the most happy & confident i have ever seen Stevie, drunk but really happy with who she was. Love It!!
This was really good. EVEN BETTER is the video of Stevie Nicks in concert that same year. She does this song and BOB WELCH is the one who comes out in a miniskirt.
There was never a better performer than she was when she was at her peak, which she was here. She makes the song comes to life; you feel what she is singing. This video all by itself justifies the existence of You-Tube

The good old days ('76-'78) with Stevie, Bobby, Lindsay, Owen, et al. FM (and Bob) rocked a lot harder on stage than on the studio versions. TX again to Owen for putting -- and keeping -- us all together.
I miss Bob Welch. One of a number of artists who didn't fit the record company's blueprints. I'll bet he'd be still putting out some interesting, albeit different music. RIP, Bob, you won't be forgotten.
Mick Fleetwood is one lucky man. Average drummer joins a blues band which breaks up, sticks with it through the lean years as there's nowhere else to go and finds a few years later it has morphed, for reasons beyond his control, into one of the world's biggest rock bands, without his ever having to sing or write anything. To top it all, in the process the lanky git gets to schtupp one of the most gorgeous gals ever. And they give him lots of money for this.
Wait. A. Minute. Are you telling me Mick Fleetwood Schtu... I mean, had SEXUAL INTERCOURSE with freakin' STEVIE NICKS?! OK, seroiusly, now I want a refund from God.
Yitzhak Shtarker I know what you mean. I spoke to God and said 'Sorry to bother you, but I think someone got my life by mistake'. I read his book though and yup it seems she's either just flakey enough to have wanted to rile Linsey after they broke up, or suffers from bouts of indiscriminate nymphomania of a type only normally seen in cheesy porn flicks. Funny thing is, iirc Mick cheated on her! So any ugly awkwardly built kids out there -forget school, buy that drum kit now!! You don't need to practice or anything, just sit there bashing away and the women and money will find you.
I’m sad I missed this when it first came out. As a transplanted Michigander, we literally grew up with Bob. The Live Bullet version of Turn the Page is absolutely one of the greatest live tracks to end up on vinyl. Bob is one of the great song writers! I’ll sign of with my fave Segar track…Roll Me Away. Thank you Adam.
I just watched Fleetwood Mac's show here in Tampa, this woman makes any 19 year old look bad. She is still gorgeous!! And needless to say, still has that powerful unique voice. Phew!!!!
This was a special show to showcase the new album by Bob Welch ( former member of Fleetwood Mac); the concert was dubbed Bob Welch and Friends and was filmed for the fledgling new cable channel MTV. I won 2 free tickets for this fun event from L.A. rock radio station KMET 94.7 ( the mighty Met). My friend and I had a great time. ME TOO!!
got to meet Stevie and Mick backstage after "Say You Will" concert in El Paso in 2003 where Stevie was presented with a dozen roses. She and Mick were so gracious to their fans; and I've always loved Bob Welch. Watched him perform "Sentimental Lady" with Christine McVie back when he opened for Jefferson Starship.
Haunting guitar intro and Stevie's raspy voice still give me chills......
If that doesn't raise the hair on the back of your neck, you're dead. What a voice, what a performer, what a woman!
Always Loved Their Music growing up in the 70's when I graduated!!
Was mesmerized watching her and Lindsey sing their songs to each other during “ The Dance” concert
To me and up till this day she is the best female voice on Rock n Roll.
I love Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks is an amazing vocalist and this performance proves it once again.
Iconic voice, great performance. Bob Welsh was fantastic on his own also.
This performance of Gold Dust Woman is breathtaking. Stevie will always be Queen!
If you're a new fan of Stevie Nicks and haven't heard " After the glitter fades ", it's worth looking up , such range from her rocking songs .
Two videos to check out. 'Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks) - The Chain (Demo) - Vocals Only.' And Grace Slick, 'Grace Slick Vocals'. Two great voices unhindered and pure.
Rhiannon on the Old Grey Whistle Test (UK TV prog)
Stevie has a natural talent of writing in a song how she feels, she will always be my favorite although she did forget a line in this song with Bob Welch "wake up in the morning.." I'm quite sure she's was aware of it, and my hats off to the Gypsies that remain....so excited she has a new album out 24 Karat songs from the vault,I'm so proud if her for over coming her addictions, she truly is the QUEEN of rock n roll!!!
Always loved this look! Yes, rare to see Stevie in a mini skirt! 🖤
True to her style and modesty she's wearing leggings and boots! Lol
ANYBODY PICK UP ON THAT COWBELL? STEVIE'S VOICE AND THE BONGOS AT THE END----MAGIC!!!!!!!!!
Obviously Stevie & Mick were having a blast, This is the most happy & confident i have ever seen Stevie, drunk but really happy with who she was. Love It!!
How do you know she was drunk?
shes coked up cuz. look at her pupils. they dont exist. 😂 😂
My favourite female singer of all time , she has the most fantastic voice , what a singer !
This was really good. EVEN BETTER is the video of Stevie Nicks in concert that same year. She does this song and BOB WELCH is the one who comes out in a miniskirt.
She was the kingpin of the group. Her voice is unique! (and beautiful to boot).
Oh man I had a crush on Stevie. Her voice was one of a kind. Seen her with Fleetwood Mac and by herself.
If you can tear yourselves away from her, watch Mick Fleetwood totally supporting her and living every second of the song.
Yes! Very cool.
First time hearing this number, it is a very catchy vehicle to compliment Stevie's inimitable voice and manner of singing. 🎼🎼🤩👍🥳 a 10/10 from me.
There was never a better performer than she was when she was at her peak, which she was here. She makes the song comes to life; you feel what she is singing. This video all by itself justifies the existence of You-Tube
Could not agree more; Stevie was awesome at her best.
Only saw her live one time...ten years after this...she was incredible
That was amazing...
I don't think Mick ever got over Stevie. I mean he is hypnotized by her here. Well, I can't blame him.
wildsmiley I don't think anyone who was with Stevie ever got over her- Mick and Lindsey included
wildsmiley You can add Lindsey Buckingham to that list. Took both Stevie & Lindsey years to fully get over each other.
And don't forget Walter Egan (Magnet and Steel, written for her)
Fascinating story. Google it.
@@jstnxprsn OMG! Magnet & Steel I remember that came out when I was in High School late 70's Loved that song so much reminded me of My then boyfriend & myself.. I haven't heard that song in over 40 years.. Thanks for info, I need to look into that.. By the way was Walter Egan from Steely Dan?? I loved their music so much
That's one of the best performances I've heard of the song that band is so tight , they were in the groove , feeling the shit that night.
Hi, check out my comment to give you more insight to this special event.
Bob Welch was HIGHLY underrated
I loved Bob with the eagles, and on his own!
They are both Grrrreat!
@@dalegaustad9386 Bob Welch never played with the Eagles . He was part of Fleetwood Mac for a few years before going solo
Mick is just wandering around with a cowbell and a drumstick being funky as hell.
And they give him lots of money for this.
you are telling nothing but the truth!!!! Period.
Claymor it's a tough life
Wait. A.
You don't need to practice or anything, just sit there bashing away and the women and money will find you.
no, Cristine McVie....
Sent shivers down my spine when Rumours was first released - Still does 40 + years later.
Stevie can still "belt it out" with the best of them....strong voice!
haunting melody. love the musical jam ! one of my fav's
Chills..that voice is beyond words..love Stevie.
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, it's got to be my favorite 🎉🎉 Stevie Nicks sounds simply amazing 🎉🎉
Great performance by the incredibly talented Stevie Nicks.
Awesome performance. Stevie absolutely nailed it.
ONE OF THE BEST PERFORMANCES EVER BY STEVIE, SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS I HAVE EVER HEARD, AND I LOVE THIS SONG,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I just watched Fleetwood Mac's show here in Tampa, this woman makes any 19 year old look bad.
When KMET aired it I recorded it onto cassette and I enjoy listening to this great concert to this day.
ROCK ON AMERICA!!
Now that’s a real voice, real talent. Her voice is even more powerful live than studio.
