Her new song Lighthouse killed it on SNL last weekend. Girl is a true legend. She's still got it at 76. I think I know every word of Rumors, I listened to it so many times. She lived her life on her own terms & that takes guts.
Always loved her music from the beginning. My grandchildren listens to her music with me, too. I have seen her in Fleetwood Mac 3 times and solo once. Her performances were mesmerizing .
Her music tells the story of my teenage and young adult years. Each song brings back memories of the time it was released. Never followed her personal life, or any star's for that matter, I had my hands full managing my own life.
I for one love Stevie Nicks for her voice and her music. My mom, Aunts and Uncles grew up in that time of being young and making mistakes too. I can't believe all the negative comments about Stevie in this thread, it's like everyone is a therapist these days. I just know how i felt at the time singing her soongs, and dancing with my mom to her music when i was 4, probably the only thing my mom n I still bond in is Stevie Nicks' songs, and I loved Bella Donna, every single song on it! Steve also did say it was a different world back then for a woman to be on her own, and she tried to stay with creative men that wouldn't try and domesticate her, BECAUSE THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE WANTED FOR HER LIFE! So i get it. I heard all that was the era of "Love, drugs, and rick n roll" and the hippe free love era, something i guess alot of you were never taught about or wouldn't understand 😊 I think her journey led her to stay true to herself in a man's world and she made out ok. I TRULY LOVE YOUR MUSIC STEVIE, THANKS FOR SINGING SONGS, and helping us cope with the things we were going through in our lives AND STILL DO!! 👏🏻💗🕊️✌🏻
So so do grateful to be raised in this music era. Stevie nicks I will be apart of me till I die. Iam 63 and have a 8 year old son. I feel sorry for the new generation to be deprived of such glorious song writing and true talent. But I do play only my music for him so that one day he will know how much I wanted him to experience timeless music.
Stevie Nicks to this day, and year 2024 is one of the GREATEST, and ORIGINAL voices, and writers I have yet experienced in the world of music and lyrics. The transformation of her heart into song is UNCANNY!!!! I am 50 years old, and have loved the sound of Fleetwood Mac since a child (before truly understanding lyrics), as well as her lasting journey as a GREAT ARTIST as her future continued to flourish into her Solo Albums, I continued to feel the intensity of her lyrics, and the profound feel of the music it is linked with!!!! An UNBELIEVABLY GIFTED WOMAN ARTIST, who yes went through the challenges of the fast life in the successful music world, and fame; but also with No Regret lived, loved, hurt, fell to fame, shared, learned, grew through all the years while gifting us all with connection through lyrics and music combos that are just hard to ignore, or exceed. Seemingly her love for those in her hard past, she keeps close, and respects the journey of it all!! What a human!! That makes me love her even more!!!! LIVE LONG IN YOUR LOVE; "SONG/MUSIC/THE ART" you ARE BLESSED WITH THIS GIFT!!!! R.I.P. to all your loved ones who moved into their own realm of life. September 7, 1977. Fleetwood Mac played Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. That concert was my very first of many! I was only 10 years old and went with a friend. WHAT were my parents thinking 😂. WOW have times changed but their music will always be my favourite.
Fleetwood Mac originally didn’t want Stevie Nicks to be in the band. Lindsey Buckingham said he would only join if Stevie came with him. The rest is history.
Actually, they were indifferent toward Nicks initially, and were only looking for a guitarist. So it was that they didn't want her...but they already had a female singer. Buckingham did insist they were a pair and would only join if they bring in Nicks in along with him. And Mick agreed...according to Nicks the group had dinner one night and she and Christine got along very well, which solidified Buckingham Nicks joining the band.

Stevie was hurt by lindsey at their hall of fame induction. Lindsey rolled his eyes when she was speaking onstage. That's when she gave the group the ultimatum her or him. Saying Joe was the one is just a dig at Lindsey, we'll probably never know for sure but this is how I see it.

@@brandankelly4069 , Because she dumped him and immediately went out with Don Henley, then disgustingly dated Mick Fleetwood. Then she made him leave the band at her request in 2018. “I could publicly reflect on the many reasons why, and perhaps I will do that someday in a memoir, but suffice it to say we could start in 1968 and work up to 2018 with a litany of very precise reasons why I will not work with him.” She was never in love with him, she just needed him to further her dream of becoming a rockstar. Once she was his use wasn’t needed anymore.
I think I would agree with some of the other commenters that she's kidding herself. She's still completely "entangled" with Lindsey but cant bring herself to admit it.
She was completely obnoxious and unrelenting, bugging Petty to no end to write AND sing a song with him, he finally did to get her off his back. Then her single with him, credited as hers on her album, to his horror, beat his single released at the same time on the radio. She seems to have been a nightmare really to many people she was involved with. 😒
No, Lindsey gave her the most trouble and the most fights of anyone she was ever with. Lindsey told her that she was nothing without him. She took the knowledge that that was not good for her, and she actively shied away from that type of unequal relationship in the future. She looked for someone who saw her as an equal (Lindsey never did, by his own admission), and when she found a man that all these years later still speaks genuine appreciation for her creative work and who was even willing to learn from her, she fell hard. You have to honor her assertion that Walsh was “it” for her, and not try to tell her how she “really feels.”
I recall the 70s when I was a little girl Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac had such a creative musical contact to everyone, I think they set the groove into a knew kindred spiritual musical sound that led her voice into that zone that they controlled and Stevie Nicks and with that voice was a maker and a heart breaker for that deep connection to melody's and her stories of talents!!!!!!
And as I listen to the bio so to speak. Lindsey was the one true love that Stevie could never replace. As hard as she tried to move on from her relationship with Lindsey, she couldn’t find any other person that could hold a candle to the love they shared
I've been a fan since their first album, thanks for sharing a lot of her history. I never knew. Of course, I didn't grow up in the computer age where all of this is just a finger touch away now. 😅 I knew most of it. However, there were a few things I didn't. ✌️💜

Stevie Nicks made this band soar!! Her style and singing kept this band famous!! I can just listen to her voice, without even seeing her and know itʻs Stevie Nicks! She is one of a kind!! Bless her always!!
That's funny, when Joe Walsh was asked about this he looked confused and said, " um , well , Oh yeah? Huh, yeah, Stevie's...a nice girl. We had a good time together." He obviously didn't remember it the way she did!!!!
As many different men she had affairs with, she's naming Joe Walsh as numero uno? Knock me over with a feather! I don't believe her, I think she put all their names in a hat and picked his! This is bologna and I think he knows it, hence his unimpressed reaction you mentioned!
The truth is, Joe was married at the time and his daughter from this marriage was VERY unhappy Nicks talked about the affair while he was married to her mother.

It's impossible to say of course, but the huge part that cocaine played in her relationships cannot be ignored; it's hard to see how they would have played-out; or even begun without drugs. 👏🏻💗🕊️✌🏻
I f I sang like her and looked like her, I would think I was all that too. Plus she had fun and still looks and sounds great!
LIVE LONG IN YOUR LOVE;
"SONG/MUSIC/THE ART" you ARE BLESSED WITH THIS GIFT!!!! R.I.P. to all your loved ones who moved into their own realm of life. I a black woman of alot of different music, and genres, would absolutely LOVE, and OBSORB SEEING YOU PERFORM ONE DAY!!
JUST KNOW YOU WILL ALWAYS BEVLOVED IN THIS WORLD OF SONG!!!! WOW!!!! GREATNESS!!!!❤
There’s NEVER been another female in rock music that can hold a candle to Stevie Nicks
Ann Wilson, Linda Ronstadt ?
Very good. I hear Joe Walsh in my guitar playing, my idol. I still kick myself, I had a chance to see Joe play in a bar that only held 200 people. My date I guess was more important I was out of control back then. Thought I was somebody special I guess

Fleetwood Mac originally didn’t want Stevie Nicks to be in the band. Lindsey Buckingham said he would only join if Stevie came with him. The rest is history.
Overrated.

Stevie is a rock goddess that has musically been a sound track to my life. It's very true that certain songs somehow eat at your heart and feel like she's singing it about you. My ultimate song the mirrors my life is beautiful child. My favourite song is how still my love that's a damn sexy song that I just love. She is an artist and a legend
Stevie Nicks will forever be our generational beautiful fairy godmother, her voice is timeless her lyrics Rane true from her heart from her real experiences like marrying her best friends husband and to take care of the baby after her best friend passed away, her romances with Lindsey Buchanan joe Walsh, mick Fleetwood and the well known producer and the guy in the eagles is where she wrote the most beautiful lyrics about all her experiences of love and she did it perfectly and the looks she gives Lindsey while singing the the lyrics to him on stage is captivating magical, and of course painful.Stevie Nicks is and always will be my first female rock goddess

Rock Goddess, living legend, poet, musical icon and sorceress, student and teacher. Many have mentioned it here and the same rings true for me as well. She wrote the sound track of my life. Literally. She has the rare and incredible talent of weaving her life experiences into her music. Though she seems to stand apart, she is very much like every one of us - human. Stevie and me have lived a whole lot of similar lives. I relate to her like no one else I've encountered. WE share the same interests, loves and search for the same things. We both stand all alone in our end days just as it should be. I was fortunate enough to have met her and shared a private 30 minute session together where we talked, cried and embraced. I picked up the Buckingham Nicks albums before Fleet wood Mac, Great Album, Everyone should listen to it and imagine them both in love

@@TheIkaika777How do you know?
@@brandankelly4069 , Because she dumped him and immediately went out with Don Henley, then disgustingly dated Mick Fleetwood. Then she made him leave the band at her request in 2018.
“I could publicly reflect on the many reasons why, and perhaps I will do that someday in a memoir, but suffice it to say we could start in 1968 and work up to 2018 with a litany of very precise reasons why I will not work with him.”
She was never in love with him, she just needed him to further her dream of becoming a rockstar. Once she was his use wasn’t needed anymore.
@@TheIkaika777 Okay, thank you for the reply.
I think I would agree with some of the other commenters that she's kidding herself. She's still completely "entangled" with Lindsey but cant bring herself to admit it.
Also Joe Walsh was interviewed and was asked if he loved her but he didnt reply. So I think Stevie may have loved Joe but not the other way around.
Howard Stern showed.. he said ..not really love for him
I totally agree. The fact that she continues to bring him up again and again tells me that she is whining about not having her cake and eat it too.
So why was she screwing Mic Fleetwood then?

I loved her collaboration with Tom Petty and her relationship with the Heartbreakers.

Her and Lindsey are soul mate! Anyone who has that and I do, we know when we see it.
You don't know ANYTHING but what you've read or edited interviews. So you really have no idea!
If there was such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back as her. What a life! 💃🎼 Not one but 2 inductions in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! Wow
And as I listen to the bio so to speak. Lindsey was the one true love that Stevie could never replace. As hard as she tried to move on from her relationship with Lindsey, she couldn’t find any other person that could hold a candle to the love they shared
