You ABSOLUTELY have to find the recording, here on RUclips, of The Troggs in the studio, nineteen sixty something. Their West Country accent (British) just makes it all the better. Never fails to cheer me up.
Tears for Fears: It sounds as if the problem was the type of person that Orzabal is, he's just very different to Curt and while Smith just wanted to keep it simple Roland wanted to try tons of different ideas and obviously Curt couldn't really understand why he wanted to do all the extra work.
Ann and Nancy Wilson have a horribly long history of hating each other ever since Nancy slept with Ann's boyfriend back in the 1970s. One of the reasons they have so few hits for such a long history is because they have feuded for decades.
@docsavage8640 Yeah Nicks is the issue. Maybe people need to ask her about her behaviour towards Brett Tuggle one of FM's backing musicians as well. The way she had him fired was disgusting.
Axl Rose went off the deep end of lead singer egomania around the time of the Use Your Illusion records. Phil Anselmo calling that band Pantera is an insult to the memory of the Abbott brothers.
Add: Chris and Rich Robinson Ray and Dave Davies Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies Brian Wilson and Mike Love Steve Tyler and Joe Perry Lou Gramm and Mick Jones An interesting note about the Everly Brothers Knotts Berry Farm debacle is that Warren Zevon had just joined as their pianist and musical conductor. The fight took him and the band totally off guard and standing there as the fight ensued. Also in the band that day was guitarists Waddy Wachtel.
I bloody love Warren Zevon. I think he might have been more famous here in the UK than in his home country, though. I get so upset when I hear the amazing opening of 'Werewolves of London' and it turns into that ghastly song about Alabama.
@@angelamaryquitecontrary4609 Zevon was immensely popular in America, virtually had a residency with David Letterman's TV show. But he never was a huge pop sensation. I don't think Werewolves would come in the top 10 for most Zevon fans. One of the best (and ironically, worst) things about UK music appreciation is that a lot of great music gets exposed to people.... but an awful lot of junk, too!
@@Hexon66 Well, that told me! I shall sit in the corner and cry. A while back, BBC Radio 2 (biggest music channel here) asked listeners to suggest the best intro to a song, and Werewolves of London won the poll handsomely. Cory Wells and Danny Hutton, 2 of the 3 dogs night. The only thing they could agree on is how much they blamed Chuck Negron for the disintegration of the band, to the point they wouldn't fly on the same aircraft or even stay in the same hotels when possible. The quote about flying was "If I'm gonna die in a plane crash, it's not gonna be with sonofabitch." Bad money management and trusting the wrong people in the first 15 years of Three Dog left all the band members broke and they continued to play out of necessity.
I've read many unflattering stories about Simon. Especially the one about Los Lobos during the recording of "Graceland" and how he ripped off a song from them during the sessions and then afterwards they never even got paid for the sessions.

He fell out with both. And Michael Anthony. And Valerie Bertinelli. And his accountant (probably, I don't know). Eddie V and Axl Rose are examples of the old saying: if you been divorced 5 times, maybe it's you.

Agreed. Just seemed as if she was so incredibly possessive that she wanted to be attached to John at the hip. Ever hear the story about how Eddie rolled up on Fred Durst's house in a military tank and then put a gun to his head? Look it up, it's wild.
I guess that's why he and Valerie didn't last.

Conflict is normal if we’re being honest. Some just handled it better than others
Yep, we all have that one neighbour we hate. Or that workmate we didn't like, and many more.
And musical artists are famous for their level-headedness.
We love to feed on these stories, but with fame fortune and success it's nearly impossible for these bands to not start fighting. All the complicated problems...trappings and constantly being with each other. Good video.
The members of Fleetwood Mac? Basically all of them against all of them
When egos clash!!! 😂😂😂
Duo’s always become resentful whether it’s one better looking than the other or more talented.?l watched the Central Park concert of Simon and Garfunkel and they never once looked at each other so incredibly childish and petty. Big egos personified. Horrid people.
I'm sorry blokes but the Oasis story @ 21:20 is unintentionally hilarious. Liam says he can't perform 1996 MTV unplugged due to sore throat, so "pulls out"...then he heckles Noel from the audience?
That's Beavis & Butthead stuff, and how I wish I could have seen that...
You ABSOLUTELY have to find the recording, here on RUclips, of The Troggs in the studio, nineteen sixty something. Their West Country accent (British) just makes it all the better. Never fails to cheer me up.

It sounds as if the problem was the type of person that Orzabal is, he's just very different to Curt and while Smith just wanted to keep it simple Roland wanted to try tons of different ideas and obviously Curt couldn't really understand why he wanted to do all the extra work.
Orzabal produced/co-wrote and played on _Love in the time of Science_ which is fantastic ~ boy's a bit talented!

Ann and Nancy Wilson have a horribly long history of hating each other ever since Nancy slept with Ann's boyfriend back in the 1970s. One of the reasons they have so few hits for such a long history is because they have feuded for decades.
Probably a shorter list would be duos who DON'T hate each other.
Pet Shop Boys would never
Love you guys- amazing that they are still making incredible music
Buckingham and Nicks are the most toxic duo ever! Surprised they aren't featured.
You mean Nicks. She brings enough problems all by herself. theres a reason everyone else played on Buckingham solo albums but not on Nicks'.
@docsavage8640 Yeah Nicks is the issue. Maybe people need to ask her about her behaviour towards Brett Tuggle one of FM's backing musicians as well. The way she had him fired was disgusting.
To see Tears For Fears together in peace & love & laughter is PRICELESS
Axl Rose went off the deep end of lead singer egomania around the time of the Use Your Illusion records.

An interesting note about the Everly Brothers Knotts Berry Farm debacle is that Warren Zevon had just joined as their pianist and musical conductor.
WZ's son spoke on the programme, and said that his father would have loved it, and he also said that HE THOUGHT HIS FATHER WAS MORE POPULAR IN THE UK THAN THE USA! (Capital letter choice, mine.)
I'm still in the corner, crying, so I hope you're bloody well sorry, and that you have a better sense of humour than many of your compatriots.
Oh, and maybe you could provide a short list of the junk you believe was served to the avid, yet undiscerning audience. If you include the band I was in, I may never write to you again. Choose wisely.

There’s something about the younger Daryl Hall that always reminded me of Denis Leary.
Imagine not getting along with monster egos like Paul Simons or Darryl Halls or Lennons?
I've read many unflattering stories about Simon. Especially the one about Los Lobos during the recording of "Graceland" and how he ripped off a song from them during the sessions and then afterwards they never even got paid for the sessions.

i have always felt rather sorry for the Simon & Garfunkel dynamic - I think Paul Simon had a little of the short-statured man thing happening(I call it 'bantam rooster syndrome', where they are constantly aggressive and ready to fly at anyone because they are so small in size; seen it frequently among jockeys) as well as a very reasonable amount of jealousy that the beautiful music he wrote sounded better with Art's voice than just his own. 😢

I thought Eddie had a falling out with David Lee instead of it being with Hagar.
He fell out with both.
Sounds like Eddie had fallings out with many people.
I think perhaps the big issue with Eddie's falling out with people had substance abuse at its core. Such a shame.
He fell out with both. And Michael Anthony. And Valerie Bertinelli. And his accountant (probably, I don't know). Eddie V and Axl Rose are examples of the old saying: if you been divorced 5 times, maybe it's you.

Simon and Garfunkel: cracks began showing early on?? Had their first hit in 1957 and broke up in 1970!

On the other hand, it was only Hagar. Roth was the best VH singer by far. All of their best songs were with him.
😅😅😅😅@@alukuhito
Isn’t funny though, that they sold way more albums with Hagar. I like both versions of the band. Too bad substance abuse always ruins a good thing.
@@seansullivan7131 Sometimes that happens. U2 was a good band in the 80s, but since then they've made tons of money despite the crappy music of the past 30+ years.
@@seansullivan7131 They sold more records with Hagar because they morphed into a Top 40 band with a great guitar player that wrote, with a few very notable exceptions, far more generic and less clever songs that brought more girls and more middle-of-the-road fans into the music. Also, the original band came out pre-MTV. By the time Hagar joined Van Halen was far more accessible to a generation that had been too young to appreciate the band in its early years. I've loved Sammy since Montros, and I own all the VH albums with him in the band. But I'd have much preferred Van Halen continue with Roth and Sammy continue with his solo albums.

Another duo that could be added to the list is Loggins and Messina. Fortunately, they reconciled their friendship but they spent many years estranged.

Agreed. Just seemed as if she was so incredibly possessive that she wanted to be attached to John at the hip. I've heard that when she started coming to their rehearsals, etc., the others didn't like it at ALL, but were too uncomfortable about saying something, due to John's extreme infatuation with Yoko. Funny how one's own feelings can make for blindness towards faults easily seen by everyone else.
She claimed he was too talented for the Beatles, but she insisted that she work with him. She is a pathetic musician and wanted him to catapult her music to fame. Her best work was when she sat next to him, then did and said nothing.
