I know they’re not very feminine but I appreciate fine handmade leather goods having been a rider in my childhood. I was taught to be responsible for my tack and learned to care for it. The Shoe is not made of Horse leather. This information can also be found on the manufacturer's website. It is very confusing to choose this color name (Cordovan). The Manufacturer could have simply called the color red-brown cherry-red or ox-blood. Unfortunately, you can often find this incorrect information on different seller sites. But anyway I have the 11 inch version of the boots and it is great.

I having mine shipped soon I'm getting the 11 inch version of these in the light tan color. Question I have a pair of Nocona western boots which I had put horseshoes over the heel for an even wear since I wear my heels down inward. I am thinking of doing the same to these when I get them, they are a bit clanky when you walk and get plenty of looks. I was wondering can you nail it over the existing heel on these boots?
Hi, I have recently been watching some of your older videos regarding the Red wings 875 and the Thorogood moc toes so I was just wondering out of the two which would you suggest as I simply can't decide.
Not having a bellow is a bit of a negative for me, not walking through puddles is sometimes not an option. That said, engineers boots and even harness boots are designed to provide ankle support similar to a lace up boot but in a pull on style. Although not generally geared towards the outdoors these styles actually work pretty well in the woods because of that.
They look identical to the redwings I bought for $220 unfortunately they sent me a woman’s 8 1/2 instead of a man’s size. 😠 They have no more on sale so I have to wait for another sale.

That doesn’t take anything away from these boots, but prospective buyers need to understand that regardless of what the Chippewa website says or this video ‘suggests’, there’s a huge difference between pigmented horsehide and membranous shel cordovan.

Don't think it's Shell Cordovan leather dude, they just call the colour cordovan.
