of all the cobblers i watch, yours and the previous video of yours I watched were the first to feature a Chippewa boot. I just got me a pair and am already looking to resole them. not really but i plan to keep them long enough so they need a resole so i was checking out my options. I managed to get a made in USA version of the service boot, which I don't know how rare brand new old stock of them is but i havent heard good words about the newer non USA made version. these feel pretty solid, and kind of resemble my blacksmiths only the leather cannot compete with red wings.
I have those same boots. They’ve worn really good after almost 10 years. That vibrant sole is really hard wearing all I’ve ever had was new heels glued on. Though my leather has more patina, and better pull up
Looks great. I like how you took the time to balance the heels correctly. Even my expensive, custom White's boots are poorly balance from the factory so when I get the top lifts replaced, I'm definitely going to stress to my cobbler that they sand the heel stack so they are nice and balanced. Also love this color of CXL. Looks great after conditioning.
Great video! Is Chippewa a "good" boot? I recently found red wing pecos, but also have a few pair of Chippewa. Which is a better boot? Are they comparable? Can cowboy heels be replaced it a roper style heel, or something more flat?
Came out great! I know it’s not a big deal(actually it’s super insane to even mention), but your lace job is driving me nuts. I start the first eyelets, under-over and every lace going through the eyelet from the outside will overlaps the inside lace. 😅
I bet you see many well known brands going cheaper on their insides because no one sees it except you. Sad really. I did pull the trigger on a pair of Truman’s in green rough out. Please tell me I made a good choice.
You made an excellent choice. I love Truman. The fiber glass shanks are still very strong and the foam is at least a high quality foam. Very well made boot. I was just pointing out what's inside and not putting them down in any way
Nice work👍
Why thank you 😄
Nice Fender shirt!

Thanks for watching. When you're ready for a resole shoot us an email!
Cool to see a very talented cobbler from Canada. Hopefully will visit the shop soon
Would be a pleasure to meet you
Great job! My parents are from Uruguay as well. Living in Toronto.
Very cool, thanks for watching!

The leather they used on these is fantastic! Happy to hear you've gotten great wear out of your boots
Very nice look on the finished boot.
Thank you!

They're a "good boot" although I still prefer Red Wing because they have leather foodbeds and steel shanks!

Great craftsmanship and clean work. That boot owner is going to be super happy with that rebuild.
Thank you very much, Romere!
These looks phenomenal. What kind of edge dressing did you use on the midsole / heel stack to get that color?
Fiebings med brown
perfect
Wow thank you!
Buen trabajo 👍
Gracias 🙏
With such fingers you can play the piano or the violin...

Didn’t Chippewa heritage boots get discontinued? If so, it’s no wonder they couldn’t compete with inferior materials.
Not sure what's up with their brand nowadays
An easy like
Thanks 😊👍

Might I ask why a good quality mid sole is important, more comfortable?
