    As always in your video's Great Photography work. We get to see in great detail every step along the way, with you. You also cut out each piece by hand, and hand skive all the parts that require it. Other craftsman who make shoes and boots, have machines that do the skiving, and have presses with razor sharp patterns, to cut out the leather parts in one shot.
    Your skill actually produces and creates a old world feel and look, that I do not see in the more modern methods. You make skiving the leather by hand look so easy. I can attest it is Tremendously hard, to get it right and not mess up the part. I have tried it, and boy oh boy, that is not learned to do it as smoothly as you make it look, in a day, or a week, or a year.
    You have learned Mad skills. No guide lines drawn for your stitching, and row after row added to the next is perfect, and spaced perfectly. I could go on for pages, trying to express how impressed I am, and also how others who view your craftsmanship should be as well.
    Please always keep us, your viewers, in the loop, as you continue along your path of master bootmaker, and new life giver, to old worn out boots and shoes. May our Good Lord always keep you healthy and safe. Cheers from Michigan USA.

    This is much more than the work contained to create this, it is the display of skill, knowledge, and artistry condensed into a matter of minutes. Amazing.
    Now everyone just wants to buy a cheap pair for 39.95 that was slapped together. I was raised in a family without much, but my grandma always taught me to buy quality over quantity. In the times in life that I didn’t follow this advice I regretted it. Save if needed, then buy 1 pair of footwear that will last a lifetime. Over time you will have several different styles for different seasons or events.

  • @thesharpercoder

    These will be some very high quality boots. Triple Stitched! Crafted to last for decades.
    I cannot wait to see the lasting process. It is never clear to me when the last is finally removed for good.

    • @williammarshall468
      @williammarshall468 3 года назад

      A lot of times it is taken out after the sole is attached. Some prefer to take it off before attaching the heel so they can cinch the nails that are in the heel. You can also wait until the heel is attached because after that it is usually only detail work that is left and the last isn't needed.

      After seeing how much meticulous work that goes into a pair of his boots, I can't imagine you would ever regret it. I ordered a pair of lace to toe boots from Brian late last year (delivery date summer 2023) and even though they were double the cost of any footwear I have ever bought, I wish I would have also ordered a pair of engineers at the same time. There is something very special about a pair of boots designed and built 100% by one incredibly talented person. Pull the trigger!

    So what is your needle size, thread size polyester on nylon, and lastly stitches per inch? To me the needle looks like a round point100/16 with 69 thread and roughly 12-14 spi, maybe even 16.
    Great work young man, I should hook you up with a few Amish supply companies, tools, leather, buckles, rivets and the list goes on and on.

    This video about gave me an ulcer. I would fuck a pair of boots up by the third stitch And have to start all over. This takes a bunch of patience and skill which I have neither when it come to a sewing machine. I failed home Ec in high school because I couldn’t see a pillow. I had a semester to do it in and 75 pillows later it was just a bunch of material that was barely held together with sewing tape and a little bit of string. But I’m definitely glad there are people who can because I love the products they make
