Hey Brian, I am a finish carpenter by trade and have also learned CNC woodworking, cabinet making and other things related to wood and metal. I am getting close to retirement and have absolutely been smitten by channels like yours. Now I have set my sights on learning the craft of bootmaking when I retire, I didn't realize how cool it is, such an excellent craft,thank you for inspiring an old timer like me.
Finally a red wing moc kept the wedge sole. Looks amazing to be fair all of your boots look amazing
Those boots are in really good shape considering how worn the outsole was. Boot owner must take really good care of his footwear. Nicely done, Brian! Please start wearing your safety glasses again. You can't do your job if you go blind, and we won't get any more of these videos. Thank you!!!

how many hours would you say go into a simple resole? just active hours, not waiting for glue to dry, etc.
Hey Brian I have a question. In your thumbnails it shows just about all redwings having the sole coming off. Did you do that or were they like that?
What’s the best boot that can be re-soled? I’m on my feet a lot and need something that’ll last a lifetime. I hear thorogood are great but red wings seem so iconic
@DAVE…..My bro has worn RED WINGS IN THE PAST…..however the last pair he bought…..

flat sole (no heel)
ankle height
6 months in right shoe outside of heel was so worn down that he was walking like FRED SANFORD
We took them down to RED WING store he bought them at…and with very friendly persuasion 😎 got them replaced NO CHARGE…sales guy said one time only,our reply if it happens again not our fault we did not manufacture them,sure enough 5months later same problems
So not again with RED WING for any of us

My bros RED WINGS look very very similar to the ones in vid however they are a med brown color

and both pairs did not hold up a total of 1yr
