My fantasy would be to spend a month in London, staying at the Savoy and seeing all of the sights, a concert at The Royal Albert Hall and O2, visiting Saville Row and having a full custom fitted bespoke wardrobe created with John Lobb shoes and boots, Lock & Co hats and all of the related accessories including custom luggage to bring it all back in. As many trips to this marvelous barber shop as I could manage - all the while chauffeured back and forth in a classic Rolls Royce or Daimler and dining at all of the classic spots. Always loved the classic British gentleman's style and manner - still do. Great post!
@@CaptainWillard830 That would cost tens of thousands of pounds. The cheapest room at the Savoy for a full month (I used July 2025) would be just shy of £27000 alone!
Most of England is saturated with Turkish Barbers, which are money laundering fronts and drug dealers… some small villages have 3 of them - absolutely no way a small village has enough men to sustain 3 barbers….
Before I lost my hair, I'd been going to T&H for about 30 years. I still remember going with my grandfather in the 1980s to their Old Bond Street address, then Grafton Street, before they moved to St James's. First it was Wendy who did my hair, then mainly Ola. Michael too sometimes, and even Mr Dennis would have a go every so often (when he could stand cutting it as short as I liked it as a student!), and there was always the friendly face of Mr James clearing up my bright red hair. A lovely little oasis of calm, and a fond memory. I recently found some big old T&H glass jars (presumably once for storing or disinfecting equipment?) in an antiques shop in Morayshire, and these are now part of my bathroom!
MY challenge these days is finding a quality barber to deal with my decidedly thin hair. It looks its best very short. Of course, it is the details around the edges that count the most. Then their are an old man's bushy eyebrows and the extraneous hairs that pop out of the ears and so on.
As I was preparing to visit London several years ago, I booked an appointment with T&H. It was one of my ‘bucket list’ items and I felt it was worth every penny. The staff were delightful and made for a great experience.

The Englishmen may be proud and thankful to have such fine traditional companies. Please do this for the next centuries as well! I hope in heaven men will need such shops too.
Come to England and you will see, even in small villages 2, 3, 6 ‘Turkish Barbers’… which amount to drug and money laundering fronts. UK is a sinking ship sadly, invaded daily by 3rd world savages.
