I went carnivore for a few months very strict only beef salt and water. I was with some friends and I ended up eating a couple potato chips and a pickle. not proud of that moment of weakness, but the very next morning I went to the bathroom and none of the chips or pickle was digested. Did my body after carnivore conditioning, realize it wasn't food and ejected it without digestion?

Anyone have some tips or things i should and shouldn't do Also should i be taking the LMNT Electrolytes package daily ? thx in advance and be safe and be well cheers from Vulcan Canada

      @Mudcreekma 2 месяца назад

Go for it! Some people have some form of keto flu and others no issues at all.
LMNT gets lots of recommendations but it's expensive and not in my budget. I use a pinch of Redmonds or Celtic salt and a sprinkle of 'lite' salt. Mix in water and drink whenever you feel a little off or a terrible craving.
I take 600mgs of magnesium glycinate at night to help with sleep. I eat mostly beef, eggs, butter, homemade bone broth and sardines. Liver once a week cause I like it. Black olives, pork rinds, fermented sauerkraut from sams or Costco occasionally. And kerrygold Dubliner cheese. Since I found seed oil in my favorite Montreal steak seasoning, I mostly just use salt. I'm not as strict as most so I call myself a ketovore. I still drink coffee and tea and I'm not afraid of the occasional tomato from my garden.
My blood pressure is 117/80 and heart rate runs mid 60s at rest. Way down from 170/90 and heart rate never under 85 and up to 157 just working in the garden. And it happened quickly!
66f, still need to loose 40-50 pounds but it's slowly coming off.
Dr Berry is probably my favorite in regards to podcasts. I watch all the regulars too. It does help keep me motivated.
I wish you the best on your journey! Please remember it is a journey and don't let a simple mistake or poor choice derail you.
Don't beat yourself up, just get right back on track with your next meal.

The EMDR Flash technique can cure PTSD.
Ironically it is being taught to EMTs now a days.
It's available to try for free here on youtube from a channel named Brief Therapy Works.
Never let anyone tell you trauma can not be cured.
Scientific evidence from MAPS show with high certainty that even treatment resistant PTSD can be fully reversed, at the least with MDMA assisted psychotherapy.
If you are taking heart medications, be extra vigilant the first few weeks and months.
Monitor rate and pressure often, call in to doctor to have medication adjusted if deemed necessary.
Those would be the main 2 cents I have.
May you heal perfectly and swiftly.

I mean a simple example is like .. allergies. Some people can eat peanuts some can't. You're optimal diet is based on your genetics so you should eliminate things and find what makes you feel good. No cookie cutter diet is gonna work for anyone.

There’s only one thing holding me back from carnivore: sometimes I just crave fresh, raw food. Crisp vegetables. A refreshing salad. Something light and earthy. If 100% of your diet is cooked animal foods, what about those days when I just want fresh? Maybe raw meat is the answer to that? There’s a phenomenon about biophotons, often talked about in the raw vegan community. The idea is when you cook your food you destroy them.

    • @Thleta

i understand what you mean by light and earthy fresh. honestly, i had a few days where i just wanted a raw onion. i would slice it and then just genuinely eat slices raw. occasionally i crave pickles HARD.
