I am 84 years of age. I have had diabetes for 25 years. On March 22, 2024 after watching both Drs. Anthony Chaffee and Ken Berry, I decided to go carnivore (cold turkey). My hbA1c was 8.4. On June 21 (90 days later) my hbA1c was 5.5. I still wear a monitor and today the 90 day average of my blood is 111. I will never eat another carb. I only eat rib eye steaks 90% of the time with an occasional salmon or lamb or hamburger patties and eggs and butter and mineral and spring water. Thanks for turning on the light and for reversing my diabetes.

Once away from having to make the Grades to graduate, I was free to question this because ogmf paying attention to patient responses. I remember when we told our post heart transplant patients and MI patients to never eat red meat, saturated fat foods, etc. And we saw them die, not thrive. Or we blamed the drugs we administered to combat organ rejection. In our oath to "First do no harm", was a failure, but not intentionally. Sad most doctors are still violating this tenant and still not always intentionally.

My “super power” is being able to fix things. I can troubleshoot problems, electrical mechanical problems any way, with great ease. Often, without even knowing how a system works. I just figure it out as I go along. Put that to work in the USAF for 20 years as a weapons mechanic on fighter jets. Then did it foe Xerox and several other copier companies.

I also tried to tell her about Kellogg's story, but she doesn't want to listen. Nevermind me healing my wrist, shoulder , inflamed foot that prevented me from using my left arm to lift anything. I've lost 30lbs of fat and water, I have regular and painless bowel movements and I'm back to running, which makes me very happy. She's in her 70s and average healthy (except she had her gallbladder removed due to gallbladder stones) but I wasn't healthy before I cut out ALL the junk and dairy. They really do encourage daily consumption of sugar - candy is offered in every single class with processed cereals or cinnamon rolls covered in glaze for breakfast. Its no wonder the kids are amped up to 11 and cannot focus. Same with my son's former daycare, he was only 3 at the time and they constantly gave kids skittles and marshmallows as rewards, with a bucket of hostess cupcakes and more candy for break. It really is getting out of hand.

As a farmer's wife living in Scotland, UK, I have to object to your comment that, as a country, we don't produce high quality meat. We produce very high quality, high welfare beef, lamb, pork and poultry. Most towns and cities have excellent butchers and farmers markets. In my opinion, buying meat from Costco and other supermarkets that are more interested in profit than health may well be cost effective, but unless it is traceable and organic you are still at risk of bringing harmful chemicals (from animal medicines, vaccines etc) into your body.
I'm sorry your experience of meat in the UK was so bad, but maybe you should do a bit more research before dismissing us out of hand.

If you weren't as courageous as you are and doing the actions to bring this vital information into the main stream, I would not be the well and happy person I am today. My wish is that more and more people take this information and use it, with the result of sending the health curve of the human race in the right direction - up!

Giraffes browse leaves from the treetops in the savannah by moving against the wind. This is because trees notice that they are eaten and immediately release signaling molecules in the air to notify neighboring threes that a danger is coming, so they know to release chemicals, that repell giraffes from eating them.

Anthony, you got it backwards. 6ma, ancestors of humans & chimps split from gorilla lineage when the Mediterranean Sea dried out. They all slept in arboreal tree bowl nests. The human lineage moved to the ground, inverted the bowl into the dome shield, this led to tool development. The house preceded the hand axe.

I had annual blood test and was prediabetic. I workout and am 54 and 212 lbs. I started that day trying to find a way to prevent diabetes. After a few weeks I found this and tried it. I eat what I love and am doing martial arts and in a few weeks I had lost 10lbs and now after about 45 days of really being carnivore I have lost over 4” on my waist. Blood tests back to normal and outside of high cholesterol (which is to be expected) and I feel great. Lost 25lbs, skin is great and martial arts at my age isn’t as hard. Love being back to college weight and it’s still dropping despite not ever feeling hungry. Stomach issues and reflux gone, strength is up and I can’t see going back! Good luck to all those who have the guts to try without going on meds. This is awesome.

Please, Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet .(Sorry if i already posted before but i dont know what to do):
I am now over 215 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else but 500-600g of COCKED meat(Chuck steak) plus 7-8 eggs in a day. All Divided in 2 meals) I am now 35 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-22%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths/Strength Training to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss- HIT Workouts )
I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems.
I lost about 17 lbs(8kg) in the first 9 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 8 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements like waist, legs, arms and neck ).In fact i have gained 2,5 lbs(1KG between weeks 10-12, but it might be just water.
I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor have I changed my body composition significantly
I am now over 12 weeks with no body fat lost.
So I would like to ask a few question about the Carnivore diet:
1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnivore diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat)
2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you?(how many weeks or months)
3-Is the Carnivore diet effective for those who are aldreay healthy and just need to improve body composition?
I am affraid this way of eating is too restrictive, for a healthy person, with no aditional benefit from any other whole food diet.
I am also not a bot. I have been posting this question as often as i can because i dont know what to do with my lack of results.
PS: Most of my time as a Carnivore i have not experience most Carnivore benefits or lost any body fat.
Also, Sorry for any grammar mistake, i am Brazilian and english is not my first language.
I am also not a bot. I have been posting this question as often as i can because i dont know what to do with my lack of results.

I am 12 weeks in. I’ve kicked smoking, and most impressive I have managed to get a handle on my alcoholism. I was drinking around 6-8L of beer a day and I was a ‘functional’ alcoholic working up to 120 hours a week. I now work 70-80 hours, getting more done than before, and have time to spend with my children and partner.
This is my second time trying carnivore. The last time was November ‘23 to February ‘24. That time I cut weight from 88.2kg down to 74.5kg. This time I haven’t lost any significant amount of weight. I still have a reasonable amount of body fat, probably around 20%, and would like to get down to a healthy 12%. It doesn’t worry me but I’m curious. The last time I was carnivore I was shedding weight like crazy, I took a break for two and a half months, went up to 78kg very quickly and stayed there, now I’m eating clean again the weight isn’t coming off like before, I’m not even down to my previous despite being extremely disciplined and there only being a short time in between.
Also, I have psoriasis on my elbows and knees. This appeared a few years ago when I started caring for my diet. It has not improved at all. Is there something else I can try to heal this?

I'm not Dr Chaffee who you asked, but thought I would weigh in:
If the fat is locked inside the collagen matrix, which is what will happen when it's in solid form on the meat, like a steaks fat cap, some people can only absorb enough fat that way.
More: Depending on what kind of fat, cooking at high heat my denature some of the unsaturated fats, especially polyunsaturated fats, into trans fats - and those are known to be very unhealthy to consume.
This is why most everyone who knows chemistry recommend frying with fats that are mostly saturated, like tallow or ghee.

      ChatGPT says:
Finding a doctor who supports or specializes in the carnivore diet in the USA can be done through several methods:
      1. **Online Directories and Communities**:
      - Websites like MeatRx (now known as Revero) provide directories of doctors and health coaches who support the carnivore diet.
      - Joining online forums or social media groups dedicated to the carnivore diet can also help you find recommendations.
      2. **Professional Associations**:
      - Some health professionals who advocate low-carb or ketogenic diets may also support the carnivore diet. Organizations like the Nutrition Network or the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners have directories of low-carb-friendly healthcare providers.
      3. **Word of Mouth and Referrals**:
      - Ask for recommendations within the carnivore community, either through online groups or local meetups.
      4. **Telehealth Services**:
      - Many doctors and health coaches offer telehealth services, allowing you to consult with a carnivore-friendly doctor regardless of your location.
      5. **Search Engines and Reviews**:
      - Use search engines to find doctors in your area who might support the carnivore diet. Look for reviews or testimonials from other patients who follow the same dietary approach.
      6. **Consult with a Nutritionist or Dietitian**:
      - Some dietitians or nutritionists specialize in low-carb, ketogenic, or carnivore diets and can provide guidance or referrals to supportive doctors.
If you need help navigating any of these resources, feel free to ask!
