      Same, but for 30 years and the health conditions grew exponentially until pretty catastrophic health breakdown. But I looking back I can see the breakd6almost from the start. I went from very athletic in my teens, to constant joint and muscle pain and injury in my early 20s onwards. I was told it was because I had a degree of hypermobile, yet my activity levels were the same
      Luckily I had such strong cravings for fatty red meat, eggs and bacon when I was pregnant that I just had to eat them as salads and lean chicken and fish just did not appeal. I literally never used to eat them before and didn't even like them!

    Fruit and veggies give me: leg, back, wrist pain, headaches (severe in the morning when I wake up), cold feet, gas, bloating, constipation, brain fog, extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety and mood swings, unstable energy, hunger, cravings, overeating, spasms, inflamed gums, sores in my mouth, acne on my back, runny nose and frequent colds, blurred vision, and the list goes on. Even one avocado returns all the symptoms almost instantly. On a beef, lamb all symptoms clear in a matter of hours to a few days. Occasional pork, chicken, kefir and parmesan are fine. Sardines, salmon and liver fine too. I guess I’ll never be able to return to having carbs and tbh I don’t miss the miserable life fruits and veggies gave me.

    Dr. Chaffee. Yes , I really do believe so.
    I started on a weight loss program called Optavia back on May 1st 2022 .
    That 5&1 program required me to eat 5 of their fuilings which were a choice of soy based bars, shakes, cereals and soups a day every 2-3 hours plus one lean and green meal that I prepared. That had to be between 5-7 oz of lean meet and 3 servings of greens per day.
    I stopped that program Feb 2 2024.
    I ate a spinach salad every single
    day on that program . Last year I developed a lot of back pain then I had a bladder prolapse.
    The back pain I blamed on my bed , at least I thought it was the cause.
    I took that weight loss program very seriously and lost 130 lbs during that time.
    I went to the ER when I noticed that a small bulge while I went to the bathroom and so much pelvic pressure. And that’s when I learned it was a prolapse .
    At that time it was stage 1 organ prolapse .
    I didn’t want to have surgery because I wanted to lose more weight and A doctor told me that a lot of time surgeries are unsuccessful that I might have to have multiple surgeries, especially if I’m wanting to lose more weight.
    I came across your channel and Dr Berry’s channel during the time I was on that weight loss program
    I was seriously contemplating on trying the carnivore diet, but I was wanting to do more research and then I came across sally Norton and she was explaining oxalates.
    Then the lightbulb lit up. I said to myself that that must be what’s wrong with me . That’s got to be why my back hurts , it must be my kidneys?
    So , I decided to start carnivore in May of this year to see if my kidney pain would settle down. And sure enough it did!! All that pain started to disappear and then the pelvic pressure started to ease up. At that time I was at stage 3 bladder prolapse as well.
    I’ve been having sever oxalate dumping on my skin.
    Every day on carnivore I started seeing improvement my bladder prolapse seemed to get better as well. Last Saturday I noticed my bladder prolapse was back to stage 1. And as of today my bladder is not prolapsed.
    I really think my bladder was inflamed from all the oxalates I had consumed all my life and during the time I was on Optavia.
    God bless you 💙Thank you for all you’re doing!! I really believe you and Sally saved my life and my organs.

She tried carnivore out of total desperation over three years ago. In less than 2 weeks I witnessed her have a total health turn-around: Her gut started functioning again, stomach went flat, eczema cleared up, nightmares stopped and never returned, pain vanished, eyes got whiter, etc, etc. I've been 95% carnivore for around a year and my entire body functions so much better. Here is my take on veggies, when a giraffe eats on a tree, the tree releases tannins and oxilates, the giraffe then moves up wind to graze on the next tree. I am a veggie gardener so I do diversed planting and harvest keeping the wind in mind. Plants talk to one another so harvest with care and give the plant time to recover. Farmers do not do this so they are in it for the money. I eat a lot of meat and my veggies are healthy due to the way I harvest. I eat fruit in season in my area only. Also only eat between 11:00 and 18:00.

    Ive not gone to a "doctor" for years. For years Ive tried eating "healthy", and for years Ive been tired, had diarreah more than not with flareups that were even worse, but this last time i probably shouldve gone to the hospital. I told myself no, try this (carnivore) and no meds. I was taking advil, immodium, pepto, i was exhausted and starting to feel dizzy, and so stressed. I now believe the advil was encouraging the bleeding. But the pain of inflammation was terrible. Within 3 days of beef, water and salt, twice a day, im pain free, the blood and diarreah has stopped, my energy is back, my mood has lifted, im exercising and happy. Its now a week, and i feel almost 100 percent recovered. One small bowel movement in the morning and done. I will never go back. I truly believe this way of eating saved me.

    I remember when I was a kid, in Sommer I had to sit in dark, cold cellar and clean the stored patatos from long sprouts and those potatos where pelled and cooked for Lunch and we eat them. Novabody died It was normal in the comunistic Poland countryside that before New potatos has been grown we eat the old ones.
    The people were poor and this was the basic food. I think that the problem is that we have change so much the genetic of the potatos and put so many chemicals on it during growing that now they are poison. It concerms acctually all the wegatables and fruits, they are totally different then 30 years ago.
    It is very said for me because I can remember the real taste and most people now don't know it at all.
    I'm not yet 100% carnivore but I started to eat a lot of meat and I need to confirm I feel a big difference, I feel better, have more Energy💪

      Falling off the wagon might have meant this: Eating the potato chips might be that you were craving salt. Start eating more whole, unprocessed salt ( like Himalayan, Celtic or Real Salt). Your body probably needs more of the minerals in salt. Maybe consume a TEASPOON of this salt in water a couple of times a day. The chocolate ice cream? I think maybe your blood sugar was out of balance as well as needing more magnesium. You might want to supplement with the mineral chromium picolinate... and of course magnesium. Good luck.

      Spinach is very high in oxalates cooked or raw. Juicing spinach is a bout the worst.
      Spinach, almond products, and black tea caused decades of fibromyalgia, bladder pain, and anemia for me.
      Oxalates bind with minerals so you cant absorb calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.
      When oxalates bind with calcium, sharp crystals (harder than tooth enamel ) form and accumulate in the tissues throughout the body. When I went on a low oxalate diet, all my pain went away. It took several months to clear the crystals. I had an itchy rash and little stones were surgically removed from my inner eyelid.

      @marksanbourne3064 Месяц назад +6

      Look up gorilla gut configuration. Being a hindgut digester they have a larger cecum as part of their digestive tract… as do horses and pigs.
      Foregut digesters are cows, deer, sheep and other ruminants.
      Closest digestive tract to humans is the dog.

    • @JoyfulDuck-zp5wg
      @JoyfulDuck-zp5wg Месяц назад

      Actually they have found that our appendix is not vestigial. Neither are our tonsils. They are both organs that are part of our immune system. We can survive without them but we can also survive without an arm. Doesn't change the fact that our system doesn't deal well with the toxins in plants. Some do better than others. Primates probably have such a large appendix because their bodies have to constantly defend against the toxins in plants.

    • @user-lc5zp6fk6b
      @user-lc5zp6fk6b Месяц назад +4

      Yes. Plant-based animals like gorillas or cows have gut bacteria that breaks down fiber into fat and protein, which is then absorbed by them. Thats why these animals can grow so big and strong, even though the plants they eat have so little calories.

    Thank you Dr. Chaffee, as usual an excellent video, perfect for info and perfect length for sending to someone who I am trying to introduce to thinking about their dietary choices.
    However, in this case, they will dismiss it out of hand because of the casual religious epithets :( Please, please go easy on the JC stuff, most Christians will be quite unhappy about it. I am not religious, myself, but I try not to piss off my friends who are.

      There is vitamin c in the muscle meat as well it's just not as much as in liver. Low carb diets like carnivore have much lower requirement for vitamin c than the RDA, because the RDAs were worked out with people on diets with grains, cereals etc.

      @user-yb9hi3us4p Месяц назад +5

      oh yeah 🤣🤣
      sugar is drug, you will have withdrawals not doubt. mine was 3 days, but it varies.
      it wasn't pleasant, had the shakes a bit, but once I got through that sugar and carbs not only didn't interest me but the thought of them made me feel ill.
      also you will be needing a toilet handy for a couple of days as your gut adjusts.
      slowly is the way I'd recommend. I went cold turkey and got through it ok, but as a former alcoholic I knew what to expect. sugar was probably harder to come off than alcohol to be honest.

    from what ive read/watched, i think the main thing for most ppl should be little to no processed foods and stick to an omnivore diet. But one where veg in particular is always peeled and de-seeded; then soaked if need be(to remove more starch and toxins, such as in the case of potatoes and beans) and then is either sautéed/browned or pickled. And of course avoid as much grains as possible. If things need/want to be fried they should be air fried with little to no oil(and at that olive, avocado, or pure fat or butter). 'Breading' should consist of rinds(animal skin), or cricket/mealworm 'flour'. Now obviously there'll be outliers - heavy carnivores and vegans, but there always extremes in every ideology no matter where it originally stems from.

      Most certainly. You can add a little green tea or low oxalate food for a day or two to slow the dumping. I have been dumping in cycles for about two years, but not that often. Initially I got an itchy rash and a few months ago stones had to be removed from my inner eyelid.

  • @user-uz7ti7vb3t

    I completely agree with the carnivore diet, but I have one theoretical question: understanding that we humans optimally should eat meat only diets, could in theory with continued exposure to grains, plants, etc. - could we eventually evolve the biology to better process these negative substances, potentially to the point where they aren't hanrful at all (or is there no biological possibility via evolution to allow for that for us humans?)? Love the videos.
