Yay! A new hike! You always make the best videos. 👍 Can’t wait to watch this one. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
always enjoy your videos
Man, missed your videos so much! Glad for a new one!!
Another super hike with beautiful scenery. Love watching you and poppins hiking together, what a team. Waiting for the next one!
Great to see you out on the trail. Love your videos!! Looks like a beautiful area. Lots of color in the trees!!
Nice to watch in wintery east today. I like Mary Poppins dream catcher, cheers you guys. Many more happy trails.
👌👌👌Nice to see yo bro.
Man, beauty scenery! Thanks for the cool vids, as always brother.
Absolutely stunning as always! Good to see you back out on the trail!
Enjoyed the video. You do such great camera work. How do you keep the camera so steady and level? You are so good at it.
On the down side the fish eye affect on you Gopro really shows up on pans but I know it can't be avoided. The quality of your videos on RUclips is so superb. From your example a couple of year ago I went with the Sony but my RUclips videos don't come out as sharp.
We are the NZ couple who gave you and the trail family a ride to Independence from Onion Valley in 2017. It turns out we were in Bishop at the same time this year. Low and behold on September 30th we were parked outside the hostel in Bishop while we used the library and on Ocotber 1st we hiked the Lamarck Col and on the 4th to Bishop Pass. Good luck with your future endeavours.
Another excellent trip Hurlgoat and Mary Poppins, thank you for all of the work you do.
Just FYI for future hikes, or for others looking to do this loop - you can park in the hiker's parking lot at North Lake, and save yourself the extra legwork to go all the way down to 168 where you guys parked. There are plenty of anglers from Bishop who go up for the day to fish in North Lake, so hitching a ride shouldn't be too difficult. And, thanks for the video - it's a wonderful loop, and really easy to stretch into shorter days for those who want to spend some time enjoying Evolution valley, McClure meadow, or maybe do some fishing in any of the lakes or streams...
That was an awesome hike. Your luck held for the weather too. Glad to see you both out and about. Take care and stay safe, Al
Awesome footage
Love yourvideos,❤😊
so glad you posted this video. you always have such good luck with the weather. Beautiful video. Thanks for all your hard work filming and editing.
Thanks Doris, glad you enjoyed it.
Love the quality photography, thank you. Your hikes are the best. 😉🇨🇦
Thanks Marian.
Great to see another Hurl adventure.. 11/8/2018... Butte Strong! 💪🏻
Great idea for a trip! You could spend a lifetime hiking out of Bishop, CA and not be done.
Great video... beautiful Quality film work .
Thanks Sherry.
California looks amazing kina like Canada's west coast in BC. I have never been to either but some day I will.
GOAT!!!! Loved it!! Just started watching the PCT vids again. So much cool stuff I missed first time around. So much funny stuff!! Got my staples out of my leg last week and I’m getting fitted for a prosthetic into weeks and I’m going to be back on the trail which trail I don’t know yet though lol.
Glad to hear it Brian! Happy Trails Man!
Keep me posted on your progress.
Good to see you and Poppins on trail again. Such a beautiful hike and great weather. Looks like you got your camera lens fixed Cornelius. Fantastic video footage as always.
Thanks Clara! I got a new camera.
Alright! Same trip I did a year ago but I did it in reverse. Great loop!
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
@Jamie Titus instablaster ;)
@Kyrie Nicholas i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Kyrie Nicholas it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out!
@Jamie Titus Glad I could help xD
There's an alternate route to North Lake if you need to make the trip shorter. As you leave the north end of Evolution Lake contour cross country on your right and follow the stream coming out of Darwin Canyon. Follow Darwin Canyon past the lakes and go over Lamarck Col. Then you can follow the terrain down to Lamarck Lakes and pick up the trail to North Lake.
Great video yet again. Nice of you to take us along. Great extra legwork, even with a painful knee. That’s dedication! You mention that you are looking forward to your next long trip or thru hike, any spoilers as to which of the trails that will be? Anyway. Looking forward to your next videos and all the best to you and Mary Poppins.
Thanks Martin, I plan on hiking the Great Devide Trail Solo next year.
Very nice. Great plan and already looking forward to see your videos.
I kind of hate your guts, let me explain. You’ve been to Muir Hut & Pass like 3-4 times now & well I’ve been like zero times! One day I truly hope to be there in person.
Super cool trip, really enjoy your reactions to the scenery around you! Keep hiking well my friend and I look forward to the next adventure. Take care brother!
Thanks Zach! Happy Trails Buddy.
Hope all is well goat its been 7 months brother , we all waiting for the next one, stay blessed 🤜🤛🤙🏃♂️🏞
I finished a 300km section of the Great Divide Trail with my girlfriend a few weeks ago, I will be making a series of videos of that trip, I am waiting on a new power supply for my computer, when that gets here I will be starting to edit those videos plus some other videos too. Cheers and Happy Trails!
@@HurlgoatHiker bro I'm excited !i can't wait for that ,mahalo for the reply , I'm a huge fan of yours , keep on hiking 🤜🤛🤙
I was really surprised that you got time off for being on the job less than a year and then to drive down to Cal . I hope you had a chance to take the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles to see how much time you save , less people at customs and none of that traffic from the border to Tacoma . If you ever do , please go west 10-15 miles to Joyce and their restaurant has the biggest burger , the Logger Burger the bun is the size of a pie plate .
Thanks for your great videos, I have a question, when is it a good time to hike around Vancouver Island and what is a good area for a person to start hiking if they never been in Vancouver. LOVE YOU BROTHER.
The Summer would be the best time to hike Vancouver Island, there are so many different Trails for all different difficulties.
What’s with the shag carpet on the dash? Nice vid.
What pack is that Mary Poppins is using
Incredible hike, incredible views and incredible photos! Do you need any kind of permits to do this hike??
Thanks, You just need a back country permit but it's free.
Great hike but you do need to secure a wilderness backpacking permit. As of 2021, only online and costs $11, if you can get one because they go fast. No walk-up permits either as of 2021, all online.
Good luck!
those deer died crossing over the pass when it was iced over. slid to their death not from a rock slide. like sheep they kept going over.
I saw it when it was fresh and the carcasses we're half eaten.
I’m considering doing this trip. Why did you choose the direction you did? Is there an advantage to going north instead of south?
I don't there is an advantage but we went the way we did simply because it worked better for us.
Why did you hike at night past SApphire lake and Evolution Lake? You missed the most beautiful lakes.
I am a big fan of your videos and have subbed. I have been going through all your SHR videos . Awesome. This hike is incredible, amazing scenery. Do you live on Vancouver Island? I lived there for 15 years. Anyway, I have a lot of hiking videos from the Sarah on my channel, if you would like to check it out. Thanks.
Thanks, yes do live on Vancouver Island now, I'm going to check out some of your videos for sure.
Happy Trails Man!
HurlgoatHiker Thanks. I have hiked the west coast trail on Vancouver Island which was an awesome memory. As well as backpacking to Della Falls, where I proposed to my wife (who is from California.)
@@waterfallmadman That's Awesome!!
Thanks for taking us along again Cornelius! But, could you please ask Mary Poppins to quit talking so much during the video. It's so distracting. I love her, but for godsakes girl, let the man get a word in edgewise!!!
