I did South to North lakes many years ago. It is one of the best "short" hikes available. Made side trips to Blaney meadows, and toward Hell-for-sure pass. Whet my appetite enough that I did the JMT the next year.

I just finished this loop last week. Mega kudos guys. Great video and commentaries. The one ranger I talked to about the bridge that has been removed from over the lower San Joaquin River said that the replacement is planned but the date is uncertain. I'll do this loop again and hopefully the bridge will be replaced (next year????). Keep on trucking!

Awesome! I know I'm getting to this comment a little late, but glad you got to do the loop. Yes, I'd be interested to hear about the bridge.

That is such an amazing hike! Evolution Basin was my favorite spot and I’m hoping to get back there next year. Glad your buds had a great first hike!

Yes, it was an amazing hike! I think Evolution Lake was a favorite spot for all of us. I hope you get back there next year too. Thanks for watching!

    Was this from this year?

No, this was from 2022. I was slow getting this video put together. I believe it was August 23-28 of 2022. I'm sure the creeks would have been flowing a little faster this year and maybe some more patches of snow. Thanks for watching!
