Haven't watch any hiking vids in the last 6 month's but could not resist THE GOAT. Yes even this American knows how beautiful Western Canada is , aren't you happy you move across Canada now that it has been almost a year. How's work going for you in C. R. On Van Is.
Yes I am super happy I moved out West, Work is going well, staying really busy with Work, School and small weekend Adventures, this trip was the highlight of the year for sure but did manage to summit many peaks here on Vancouver Island this past Summer with my wonderful girlfriend.
@Willard Wooten No M.P and I went our separate ways, I have a new girlfriend and we've been together for a year already, we've gone on many amazing short trips together.
@@HurlgoatHiker I thought the distance and border would come into play but it was a wonderful journey to watch as I am sure the rest will be just as good if not better with your new girlfriend.
My raincoat I was using is the Marmot Precip, it performs well in light rain but in all day rain it didn't do so well, I don't think there is a light hiking raincoat that keeps you dry after many hours of sideways rain but this the best light raincoat I've ever had and it was a fair price.
Gorgeous scenery. Would be nice having links to maps of this trail. I don't see the Owen Campground or Pass on Google Maps, but do see Upper Michelle Lake. Also, new girlfriend?
60 pounds. Outstanding. Thanks for mentioning that in an era when every other backpacking RUclipsr seems to be shooting for sub-10 pound packs. Good on them all, but not my style, either. Beer and Oreos are weighty, you know?
