- Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 3
We hiked from Waterfalls Creek backcountry campground to a small campsite along Cataract Creek. Both campsites required a random backcountry permit. Highlights of the day were Pinto Pass (2441m), Pinto Lake (2104m), and a gorgeous supper on the river bed of Cataract Creek.
Day 3 put us back on track for our national parks permits.

Crazy beautiful views, every one like postcard material. 🤢 this is me, green with envie, thanks for sharing.
Great to have your videos again Cornelius. Looks like an awesome trip. Hiking through beautiful scenery and great food as a reward after a nice day. Looks terrific.
Those views, my goodness :)
Great scenery! Thanks for sharing.
I have missed your adventures my friend
I noticed the bugs YIKES! So interesting how the terrain keeps changing from rocky to pretty wild flowers and pines. Such crystal clear water
Man I am so glad you are making videos again yours are the best! Thank you!! This looked like some pretty thick woods down in the sub alpine, what did you think about a possible bear encounter? Man I am so glad you are making videos again, be safe and keep up the amazing work!! Thank you for such great videos Cornelius!!!
We had bear spray and were making lots of noise in the dense wooded/bushy areas, we didn't see any Bears but there was a lot of bear evidence thou.
Cool vid as always. Your girlie is CUTE btw! Gratz man.
Thanks man!
Yep definitely a world class trail. Thanks for the show.
This trail is so beautiful Cornelius I am sure I will be watching it this adventure again when it is over. Thank you for making coping with crazy life a bit brighter. Hello Giddy. You two stay safe
What a spot for supper. The views are superb. Like the new tent. Thanks for the video. Take care and stay safe, Al
Thank you both Canada is Beautiful. Nice break from Covid-19, Canada is Smart to keep the Border closed,
Nice video. I like your calm attitude. New hiking partner, I see.
Yup, her Trail name is Giddy.
👌👌👌
Thanks for including the part where you hike back up the hill to retrieve your camera. I forget that you can't just whistle like Roy Rodgers did for his horse. The bugs were visible on the video, they looked annoying as hell. Do you use repellant of any kind. Some of the snow patches looked like sand traps on a golf course. Giddy looks like a good partner and a very accomplished hiker. Stay safe and keep the videos coming.
I forgot to add earlier, show more Marmots.
We did have bug spray and did use lots of it but they still kept coming.
Beautiful trail and views. That is one squeaky ass pack. LOL
Yup sure is haha, it gets like that when I'm sweating alot or when it's very damp out
@@HurlgoatHiker, that’s odd. But it would drive me crazy. On the bright side the bears will here you coming.
That river where you had dinner was moving pretty fast. Hope you didn't have to cross that.
always a great video. your girlfriend is beautiful. nice to see her. cheers
Stunning! which camera are you shooting those videos with?
My GoPro Hero 7, not a big fan of the audio but love the clear footage.
@@HurlgoatHiker those videos are beautiful; I personally like your authentic style, it does not have to have a crisp clear sound - I hear you well enough ;-)
May I also ask: is it the only camera you take with you on the trail? or do you have another one for still photos?
Either way - I love watching your videos and this trail looks absolutely stunning; thank you so much for sharing!
@@ioonthetube I also carry the Sony A6000 for all my stills, it's been a great camera! It's been through a lot and still works well
How did you get the name Hurlgoathiker?
Do you use a ground sheet for your copper spur?
I wasn't for this trip but will be cutting a piece of tyvec and using that as a ground sheet.
How did you pick which section to do of the GDT?
With the research that Giddy and I did we found that these sections were the prettiest.
