Hey, Cornelius... *many* thanks for your ongoing trail journals. A native of the PNW, and a full-time ex-pat "over there" in Europe these days, I grew up in the Washington Alpine Club (Guye Cabin, Snoqualmie Pass) and spent my early life hiking, skiing, climbing, snowshoeing, backpacking, etc. in the Cascades, Columbias and the Canadian Rockies. Many of my best trail memories from days of yore are from the PCT (handle : "Highlander"). Your adopted home of Campbell River up along the watery edge of the CPC (Coast Plutonic Complex) is also a marvelous part of the world to inhabit. Please DO keep up the good work, my friend.
I have been playing catchup on your videos, as well. I was watching on my phone, but watched this one on my laptop. I really enjoyed the quality you are achieving. I plan to watch more on my TV to see how much better it can get! Thanks for putting so much effort into your videos.
This is great to be able to watch your videos again after the Holiday season. I've got some catching up to do, but that is a good thing. It's like having more presents to open. 👍😊 Thanks, as always, for filming in some tough conditions. Had no idea it could be so cold there in August. 😨
13 days no showers could be the reason we see no bears or moose. Do you wish you brought your solar panel so you could shoot a lot more as when you did in Washington.
That scenery at Moose River Pass was so outstanding. Cold water crossings can't be any fun. Take care, Al

Happy New Year Hurlgoat and another awesome video. Thank you!
Hi and happy new year. I can't imagine having to hike through the freezing cold water so much I don't have that problem here in Florida.
Rough terrain and cold feet :( That sucks the camera died on you after the extra effort, hate when that happens. We enjoyed your video as always!
the views just do not stop on this trip Wow
Beautiful scenery again, as always. Did you encounter any bears on your hike?
It's a good thing Giddy knows the way, I'm home in my chair and I can't see the trail most of the time. Pleasure to watch.
Stunning photos. Are we ever gonna hear about Giddy ?
Thanks, yes she will be in more videos in the future, at first she didn't really want to be in these videos but has opened up a lot.
@@HurlgoatHiker sound good
What do you wear on your feet and legs so they don't get wet when you cross the river?
We don't wear anything else than Darn Tough Socks and hiking pants
