Marigolds are nice flowers but they need a lot of water and frequent deheading to do well. I garden too! Excellent video as always and I actually knew this one!! I liked Ramund’s relationship with her, a nice little quest
I'm starting to think that Letalis travels back in time to program new elements into the game, so we think they have always been there. The ammount of details he found in that game is beyound natural explainations.
Since I first discovered you can go to the forest succubus and get the pimpernel without having been given the quest, it's the route I always take, because I worry the druid will keep his promise and come back to kill her, which is why I avoid returning as well. It's a shame in a way, because I don't get to hear "indigo is indigo", but it's worth it, I think, she's not hurting anyone; the novices live, Gremist gets his laugh, eh what the hell. Only I do wonder if she's being sarcastic about the honey - flower honey s delicious. As for the Deadly Delights quest... I'm fairly convinced the quest designers fucked it up accidentally. On epart says the soldiers all died at the same time, another it says they went missing gradually. Slama herself claims they attacked and gangraped her so she defended herself. Since there's no clear line of events, all I can do is give her the benefit of the doubt. I think the original idea was that she really did kill the men for pleasure, because the journal entry says that Geralt felt he might regret it later for letting her go. And yes, I'm a cheat who gets the mutagen by console command, fight me.
Good thing that the succubus decoction is not too interesting anyway. Rule of thumb: Never brew decoctions if you don't intend to use them. It helps massively when looking for the decoctions that you actually want to use. Shame that we can't sort the inventory a bit more
The Succubus decoction can be pretty useful against huge masses of enemies. But there is another reason not to brew decoctions that you don't plan on using. If you activate the Metamorphosis mutation, you can trigger the effects of a random decoction that you've brewed every time you inflict a status effect on an enemy (burning, poison, bleeding, etc.) without adding to your toxicity level. So if all of the decoctions you've brewed have useful effects in combat, then you can trigger up to 4 of them at once and become an absolute powerhouse.
"I had some marigolds too, but they died." Geralt: "Die" Well, at least you now know how they died :p Nice find by the way. Are you preparing for potential extra easter eggs when they come with the Complete Edition of the Witcher 3?
@@darko-man8549 same here dude! I’ll keep my expectations low and my mind open. Hopefully they can right some wrongs from the horribly paced first season.
Axiburn was called "Ośniak" in Polish and is one of the monsters that was cut in development. There actually is one picture of it 3D model online. Ośniak is also a knife with two handles used by wheelwrights.
I like how it's called an axiburn and has devices on its hand that resemble the gloves of the Freddy Kruger character from A Nightmare on Elm Street. Too bad it didn't have a torn sweater or hat.
5:32 I'm not ashamed to admit, I just use console commands to put the mutagen in my inventory. I never use the Succubus decoction, it's just so I don't have to keep looking at it every time I go to craft anything.
It blows my mind how even after all these years people find new, never heard before dialogues in places you couldn't even imagine. I have replayed this game I don't know how many times and I never even thought of trying to go to the succubus before the quest. The fact alone that the devs actually considered every little possibility and actually took the time to make all these different dialogues depending on the scenario is amazing. Witcher 3 might just be the game of the decade.
4:56 In Polish version Geralt calls this creature "Ośniak" and here's what Witcher Wiki says about it: "Ośniak was a creature that was to appear in the third game but during the 2013 - 2014 development it was removed, possibly because it closely resembled Rock Trolls."
Axibrun is probably just some name they came up with and didn't know what to do with, Geralt throws a lot of monsters names out, like puffbow, tsoob, corgowrath...
The axiburn is found deeper in the woods, it looks a lot like a tree, or an ent, or something like that. You'll come across some ruins on the way there, something like a collapsed bridge or archway, it guards the path through the forest. Killing any animal in that Forest will trigger the event where it comes and attacks you. The last time I played The Witcher was maybe three or four years ago, and a lot of it is very hazy to me. Can't remember the names of certain forests or areas but there you go.
I was just planning on doing this, this playthrough to see if something would be different and now a video about it!😁 Great video as always! Don't have the heart to kill them or the dopplers so they all get to live on my playthroughs.
An interesting thing about this succubus in particular is that if you go to kill her the health bar is red, rather than sliver typical of monsters and you do have to use a steel sword to get it done too
Probably a hint from the devs to the fact she is humane despite being a monster and that you shouldn't judge people on who they are but rather on what they do.
Great video as always! Can't believe CDPR actually thought about including these extra scenes in case anyone decided to do this quest out of order. I also have a video suggestion: the story of the people of White Orchard and how they're all connected. Off the top of my head, Claer, the noonwraith in "Devil by the Well" was hung because she made fun of Florian, the lord's son (who is buried in the cemetery in white orchard) and was romantically involved with Mislav, the hunter. I'm sure there are more connections even in the notes found in the bandit camps.
Same. Couldn't in my first playthrough, now I started another one on Death March and I don't think I'll kill either of them. Can't even bring myself to kill one in the first playthrough and then spare them in NG+...
This is amazing, this year I completed the game for the 4th time and I wanted to check out this cave, however I got distracted by other side quests and forgot about it. Thanks Xletalis.
Regarding the axibrun, in the Polish version it's called ośniak, and according to CDProjekt forums (at least Polish ones), those monsters, along with many others (niddhog, bruxa etc.) were supposed to appear in the game, but in the end the content was cut. No idea what kind of monsters they were supposed to be, since I didn't find any mentions of them in Slavic bestiaries, but the word "ośniak" is used as an alternative word for carpenter's plane. So, uh... A leshen might be the nicer of those two. ;)
I think i haven't killed a single Succubus in Witcher 3, i think the one in Novigrad, i warned her people are onto her and adviced her to leave. Dunno, they don't really harm anyone they just do what it's in their nature....yes my Geralt is soft towards monsters. Because the humans are worse.
Axibrun was a monster they cut from the game. They looked very similar to rock trolls and their attacks are also very similar. What was very unique about them however is that they attacked in groups, and they could heal themselves by eating a nekker if one happened to be nearby, they would then throw the lifeless body at you XD.
The "axiburn" is also called an "osniak" look it up, they were supposed to be in the game but were possibly removed because they looked / felt similar to rock trolls.
i pushed her from her cave to the room we stay in the inn, it took a while but she has been there since... just standing in the room for all eternity...
The Axibrun or Ośniak as its called in polish is a monster that was meant to be in the game but got removed as they already have trolls which look very similar.
Woah what werid timing man Im on this mission currently n havent done the novigrad succubus mission yet either was saving it till I figured out who I should get the mutagen from! had all these questions and you just answered every single one of them in this one video and gave me more then a few ways to go about doing it! thank you man, your Witcher content is always amazing and much appreciated! Ill Definitely be a lifelong fan of your channel even when there isn't anymore W3 content to be made😔 But hopefully the theory of a new Witcher game being in the make is true and is just as amazing and content filled so when it comes out you can make just as many videos from it as you got to do with W3😂
6:25 "Dijkstra" happens to be a name common in the North of the Netherlands, in the province of Friesland. It's a real normal Frisian name (and the reason they may have picked it is because of Frisians were mentioned in the viking saga's as well as warriors. Beowulf saga for example has a direct mention)
Sigismund Dijkstra was spymaster in Kingdom of Redania, which is inspired both by Protestant Pricedoms of Holy Roman Empire which included Friesland and Kingdom of Poland before Henry's articles. And it happened so, that avanturists from former had quite a good chance to have significant success in later.
I spared the one in Novigrad because i liked her attitude and personallity more , ....Tho i believe none of the Succubus where bad ,i just wanted that Decoction...Fun fact is that if you kill the one in Novigrad she also drops a Silver Sword , while the Skellige One did not drop anything for me , only mutagen.
In my playthrough I killed pretty much every monster because I was serious about my job as a witcher. But this succubus doesn't seem evil to me. I mean, monsters are only those that want to do evil, whether they are humans or creatures.
What I did was I did a "preparation new game" where I killed things and scaled to lvl 100, got all the rare mutagens like Succubus and Doppler. THEN I did my perfect playthrough in NG+ where I already had those decoctions. (Also because I didnt care AT ALL about the NG playthrough I was greedy bastard in every way and always was taking money, supplies, you name it only so that I could be a totally selfless man in the NG+)

Marigolds are nice flowers but they need a lot of water and frequent deheading to do well. I garden too! Excellent video as always and I actually knew this one!! I liked Ramund’s relationship with her, a nice little quest
hasn't Merigold already got enough "frequent deheading" in both books and the games? x'D
yep! The lilac grows itself basically ;]
The place you meet the succubus is called "morskogen". It's a real place in Norway and means "mother's forest"
Nice :)
I want to meet a succubus like the ones in Geralts world.
Me too man, me too....
Kind sir, can you please explain? Is this a reference to books?
The hairy hooves are a treat
@@Alpharabius99 a hot half goat woman lol only referencing the games, since CDPR definitely made them intentionally extra attractive.
They asorb your life energy so if you are around one too long it’s RIP to you 💀
I'm starting to think that Letalis travels back in time to program new elements into the game, so we think they have always been there. The ammount of details he found in that game is beyound natural explainations.
The Dark Side is a pathway to many abilities some consider... unnatural.
Now plant some gooseberries to make Yen’s signature scent 😂
If I wanted to make Yen's signature scent into my garden, I'd turn it into a public dumpster.
@@gautheuil6210 😂😂😂
"I had some marigolds too, but they died." Geralt: "Die"
Well, at least you now know how they died :p
Nice find by the way. Are you preparing for potential extra easter eggs when they come with the Complete Edition of the Witcher 3?
Then he kills Triss Marigold lol
3:14 this whole little bit with the flowers is fantastic 😂💜
Your flower pictures were wonderful!
thank you ;]
Xletails is the goat🐐. Can’t wait to hear your commentary on season 2.
more excited for his commentary than the season myself
@@darko-man8549 same here dude! I’ll keep my expectations low and my mind open. Hopefully they can right some wrongs from the horribly paced first season.
Axiburn was called "Ośniak" in Polish and is one of the monsters that was cut in development. There actually is one picture of it 3D model online.
Ośniak is also a knife with two handles used by wheelwrights.
That's true, I call it ośnik but I know people call it ośniak, I guess depends on where you live on Poland, used for debarking trees.
That name reminds me "Wozniak" (Polish too)....
But I think I've come across one though...
It was planned to attack in groups and feed on (and throw) nekkers
I like how it's called an axiburn and has devices on its hand that resemble the gloves of the Freddy Kruger character from A Nightmare on Elm Street. Too bad it didn't have a torn sweater or hat.
5:32 I'm not ashamed to admit, I just use console commands to put the mutagen in my inventory. I never use the Succubus decoction, it's just so I don't have to keep looking at it every time I go to craft anything.
You know this is the best game ever when almost 7 years after it’s release a video about a minor character in it gets 900k views in a week.
Dude, like this game is such a masterpiece, doing things most modern games can't be arsed, hurts even more how shit cp2077 was :(
Damn it all! I've been clean for weeks, now one whiff and I'm going to lose hours in the Witcher 3 again!
Alright enough already, you’ve convinced me, I’ll start a New Game+ again.
good luck ;]
That's the beauty of the Witcher III, you learn about hidden content and details six years after its release
4:56 In Polish version Geralt calls this creature "Ośniak" and here's what Witcher Wiki says about it: "Ośniak was a creature that was to appear in the third game but during the 2013 - 2014 development it was removed, possibly because it closely resembled Rock Trolls."
oh interesting
I love your work, this many years after release and you're still putting out videos about stuff I didn't know
Who knew Letalis liked to plant flowers in between scouring the world of the Witcher.
As for the Axibrun, I assume a cut monster contract of sort.
Axibrun is probably just some name they came up with and didn't know what to do with, Geralt throws a lot of monsters names out, like puffbow, tsoob, corgowrath...
You are true artist, you can still after so many years make a new videos with curiosities in the witcher that no one usually discover.
I think that's a Leshen
When she said "witcher, you're here" I realised she sounds a lot like Philippa, same voice actress maybe?
nevermind I watched more of the video and you literally mentioned it lol
@@gamingsolvesmyissues8192 LUL i thought everything same and read your comment
I knew you'd notice
@@xLetalis I'm a simple Lesbomonke 😌
I was just planning on doing this, this playthrough to see if something would be different and now a video about it!😁 Great video as always! Don't have the heart to kill them or the dopplers so they all get to live on my playthroughs.
An interesting thing about this succubus in particular is that if you go to kill her the health bar is red, rather than sliver typical of monsters and you do have to use a steel sword to get it done too
really? I didn't notice
Probably a hint from the devs to the fact she is humane despite being a monster and that you shouldn't judge people on who they are but rather on what they do.
Yo that flower scene/joke was STRAIGHT FIRE 3:30
Great video as always! Can't believe CDPR actually thought about including these extra scenes in case anyone decided to do this quest out of order.
I also have a video suggestion: the story of the people of White Orchard and how they're all connected. Off the top of my head, Claer, the noonwraith in "Devil by the Well" was hung because she made fun of Florian, the lord's son (who is buried in the cemetery in white orchard) and was romantically involved with Mislav, the hunter. I'm sure there are more connections even in the notes found in the bandit camps.
I just can't bring myself to kill either of the succubi.
Yeah, xletalis video with selling ciri to emhyr scene as usual. I love it 😏
What a game!
We need a cinematic cutscene for drawing *Aerondight* too
3:24 hahaha i really appreciated your gardening jokes
Guaranteed that succubus had her heart rate increase when she saw a witcher in her cave.
Precedes to put the clip of Geralt and Ciri reuniting in The Blood of Elves followed by selling her to Emhyr. You're a monster
@@xLetalis That was savage, Gaunter would be indeed proud of you😈
This is why I love this game, there's so much to it that I'm still learning stuff about it all these years later
Game and story is so huge, id always forget what i did last playthrough.
Succubus in Witcher 3? The second my computer even rendered this page it started downloading.
0:00 Best intro ever🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Intentions are more important than appearances and words. I'd perfer a monster who overcomes it's evil nature over a monster in human skin.
I always kill one for the mutagen:)
I did the same, my Geralt is a softie, too😅
This is so good. Ty for this
my pleasure ;]
" Indigo...you mean blue? "
I literally had that thought as he was saying it 😂 7:58
I wish they did more with the succabus if you choose to not kill her
Axibrun was a monster they cut from the game. They looked very similar to rock trolls and their attacks are also very similar. What was very unique about them however is that they attacked in groups, and they could heal themselves by eating a nekker if one happened to be nearby, they would then throw the lifeless body at you XD.
Too bad they didn't make it into the game
The "axiburn" is also called an "osniak" look it up, they were supposed to be in the game but were possibly removed because they looked / felt similar to rock trolls.
i pushed her from her cave to the room we stay in the inn, it took a while but she has been there since... just standing in the room for all eternity...
Best Witcher channel on RUclips. So happy your still putting out content. Cheers mate!
I just went through this very part again last week, darn it, should've waited!!!!
"Indigo is Indigo... Men"
Love that dialogue
The Axibrun or Ośniak as its called in polish is a monster that was meant to be in the game but got removed as they already have trolls which look very similar.
Woah what werid timing man Im on this mission currently n havent done the novigrad succubus mission yet either was saving it till I figured out who I should get the mutagen from! had all these questions and you just answered every single one of them in this one video and gave me more then a few ways to go about doing it! thank you man, your Witcher content is always amazing and much appreciated!
Ill Definitely be a lifelong fan of your channel even when there isn't anymore W3 content to be made😔
But hopefully the theory of a new Witcher game being in the make is true and is just as amazing and content filled so when it comes out you can make just as many videos from it as you got to do with W3😂
I’ve come to the conclusion that xLetalis and this game will never stop to show me things o didn’t see in Witcher 3
took you long enough ;]
I like how pretty much every scene that guy has with the succubus, bro has a smile on his face. he really had that dawg in him
bro is FULFILLED
And here i thought it was a reference to the pathfinding algorithm.
I took a bit of a break from a lot of witcher content on youtube, glad to be back
1:12 want something ? Looks like we need 4th option here :D
Interesting info on this quest 👍
Amazing how detailed this game is. The GOAT.
Look at him playing that flute menacingly
Great, now another reason to go back and play Witcher 3 again.
