This seems very odd because year Witcher 3 takes place in is : 1272 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance takes place in 1403 that's 131 years later ,so Geralt maybe switched horses( I forgot to add that Geralt said he named every horse he had roach) after some time and finally gave up being a Witcher and settled down ? You won’t be disappointed with Witcher 3, I played it the first time last year and I’m playing it again rn on hard. This game is just so fun especially the contracts.
I was so disappointed in Cyberpunk 2077, I was so excited to play it because I was waiting for so long. But on xbox one it’s unplayable, within an hour it would crash three times, the bugs are funny at first but get a bit old in the end, and I saw someone else’s comment on this which explains why it felt so short? I completed it within only a few hours, not including side quests. They really need to take it back and remake it I’m bitterly disappointed in it. But Witcher 3 will always be one of my favourite games, that’s why I thought cyberpunk would be good since it’s made by the same people. Guess not 😔😠

Hey xletalis I found a H.P. Lovecraft reference on the Skellige prison island. It's a note found on a bandit's body, which says: Target lone travelers. Stranded sailors. Drunk warriors. Bring them in the cellar. The Great Old One wants blood. Ph'nglui mgl'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. I don't know if that's just a small easter egg, or if there's something bigger, like a group of Cthulhu cultists, but I couldn't find the cellar the note references. You're the expert, I guess you'll be more successful.
I think there is a way to access the mentioned cellar. But unfortunately is empty and leading nowhere, just void and then back on the island. Very disappointing. :( I think xletalis had a tutorial about how to access it but I’m not really sure about that.
I would also add the strongest axe in the game, which is difficult to find. In Velen, near the nilfagaard Camp there is an officer Camp surronded by a wall of poles. You can't access into the camp by the main gate, because it is locked; You have to do some trick jumps near the wall to get into the camp and then located in a chest on a carriage there is an axe of relic level with a damage of almost 1000 points.
Hjalmar's sword critical damage is also a random value between 15 and 200. On my last playthrough I've managed to get 198%. One of the best steel swords no doubt.
I found Gesheft in my first run. It's incredibly ridiculous how strong it is. I had Aerondight completed at 50%, and Gesheft still did a lot more damage. Also, is a tribute to Dark Souls, fact that made me love the sword even more.

Is it actually a Dark Souls reference or is this one of those Jojo fan moments? I don't see anything that confirms it and Dark Souls didn't come up with sticking a sword in a campfire.
Here's a couple more interesting weapons: -Teigr (You get this for sparing Gaetan) -Enchanced/Superior/Mastercrafted Wild Hunt Swords (These are super rare drops from killing Wild Hunt Warriors.) -Zerrikanterment and Tor Zireael Silver Sword (These are also really rare random loot items)

I had had most of these weapons and all sre sold either to eibheir in novigrad or the merchant that gives the grandmaster set quests in Toussaint. I deal in arms in this game, any bandits weapon can easily sell for more than a regular contract.
Not gonna lie, I came across Hubert on my second run throughout the game on max difficulty. Wanted to unlock all of the trophies to get platinum, and try out some different options along the way. Was not expecting there to be a second "boss" to the encounter, let alone one that turned out to be a Kattakan. Killed both the pervert priest and the vampire obviously :P
The Spade is easily one of my favorite sword weapons in any game ever. The look, the backstory, the effect, I know its a steel "sword" but that never stopped me from using it on foes I'm not supposed to XD Easily was my favorite, used it near religiously and when it got outclassed super fast in each new game+, it always hurt to know I would have to wait for a while before I got her again. But is always worth the wait
Alongside Geshift, there's also Vitis. Its the sword you get along with the unique armor set from looting the dead knight in the Land of a Thousand Fables. Follow the glowing orb near Longlocks tower to get it. Its like a counterpart to the Hen Gaidth armor, since both of those are part of mutually exclusive quests. Its a heavy knightly Golden and White Armor set. The diagram for the Steel counterpart of the Viper sword you get from Gaunter's world is also missable. You get that diagram in the Heist of Hearts of Stone. Its in a box near the "house" of Borsodi you're supposed to be stealing.
Y'know how Ancient Egypt is a subject so vast and complex that an entire field of study called Egyptology was developed? One day they'll be a field called Witcherology, based solely on this game, and you'll be one of its senior professors.

I use olgier steel sword and the one you get from doing 5 quests from a hermit, Aerosomething. And I know a good trick to improve olgier sword, I added 3 slots on it and made 15%+ power attack, the red ultimate from olgier sword with +15% power attack it is really insane. Also use oil on steel sword to improve the attack to 50% and Hag decotion to improve 50% attack, the game on harderst difficulty became all instant hits to kill anyone. Even the guards are like common foes, since my queen shield activate mostly alone, when I lose all vitaliy geralt restore it 100% using mutagens.
Warning on the shovel: it has a terrible mounted hitbox. I tried taking it into the tournament and couldn't hit shit with it on the horseback course, even though I was fine with a normal sword. Thought I would cheat the fights with the shovel's healing, but it backfired.
I really hope the new update brings in "reskining" or whatever you call it. I'd love to use the best items I have, yet make them look different. For example: as much as I love my cat armour, my favourite is the Wolven set, similar thing could go with some really nice looking swords that I can't really use because of my build (sure, I could for some time but it would become very annoying after a couple of minutes).

As much as I love the Witcher 3, I do believe that the weapon rarity system is messed up and provides little incentive for playing with weapons other the Witcher gear. Irrespective of whatever weapons we use in the short term, the game always wants us to come back to the Witcher gear or an upgraded version thereof. I would have liked weapons like the Moonblade ( the best silver sword with a cool backstory in Witcher 1, in exchange for which I threw my Aerondight down an abyss in the first game), Caerme and Forgotten Vran Sword( both with their separate quests in Witcher 2) to be given more preference than they have now. P.S I think some of the rarest items in Witcher 3 are the Oathbreaker Armor and the Great Sun Armor(a golden version of Nilfgaardian guardsman Armor). Unfortunately I beleive they appear only as random loot :(
@xLetalis Agreed. It is a weird situation where there is saturation in the number of swords at one hand and partiality towards Witcher Armors on the other hand. Both can be solved by having more of item specific quests giving the items more backstory, uniqueness with distinctive stats. For e.g. “Teigr” means much more to me than “Daystar” simply as it has more story to it in game.
I think Ciri`s Zireael should have a spot here. I knew about it but still struggled to get it with all the jumping from roof to roof. In your video about it,I also said that I found an easier way to get it, simply ride the horse all the way to the gate and dismount it. In many of the cases, Ciri will dismount on the other side of gate (in the city side). When you come back and mount the horse, she will get back in the episode area. I still saved a lot of the swords I've collected, when I open the game I might come back with others (that are not in the comments already). PS: Daddy is not getting lots of sleep lately , ha ?
Well. Finally a video about rare witcher gear that I've never found tricky to get- the poker: just be angry good. The spade: just loot everything. The viper sword: see above. Sadly i never use any of them because by the time I get them I'm overpowered.
One very rare sword you didn't mention can be found on the bald mountain quest. After you fight the crones with ciri then you playing as geralt, you have to back track to where you killed the gate keeper demon. It's tricky getting over the wall but it can be done! Be sure to pick up the key to bald mountain door (i think it's the loot from the dead demon) or you won't be able to get back in if you jump down to where ciri fought the crones. Then your stuck and have to reload your game. But you'll find a cave to go thru at the crone fight area and in the cave you'll find the sword along the way. I can't remember what it's called because it's been about a year since I last played the game. Hope you mention it in a video! 😁😁
I feel like Gesheft and Hjalmar's sword (which I think is one of the best in Vanilla) should have been included. I also think it was worth mentioning the Viroledan blade due to its unique instant kill ability.

For weapons you want to use longterm, in endgame, its important to wait you're at or near the level cap before getting them, so that when the item spawns it wont do so at a level that will quickly become obsolete.
I got a "third" Poker, on a third play on NG+ (but maybe you can get it on every NG+) : when you do the quest at Vegelbud's Residence, with Triss, to save the son of Lady Vegelbud, before fleeing, when you get to the stables, don't enter them, and on the left side of the stables (outside), there are two chests (one is quite hidden) and one of them contains another poker. First one i got chronologically, quest wise...
The steel Viper sword is another rare piece. Also i want to make a vídeo sugestion: your top amor and/or sword sets that are not Witcher gear. And to up the challenge you should also include sets from another Witcher games.
The Iris sword is interesting, not just because of its special ability but also any strong attack does double damage making it more effective then the mighty knights tourney steel sword. Not too mention it looks badass with the half sheath and the blade glinting as you move around.
Sadly finished the whole game with expansions for the first time. After 200h of playthrough i guess its time for another 200h hours of watching "details you missed" cuz holy crap man you're cracked with it. Thanks for all the extraordinary content!
i think you forgot about Ciri's sword. i mean its legit one of game breaking thing to do just to get it. i think that this sword is legit the rarest. also theres a sword (steel) that the edges glows every strike but it was soo long ago that i forgot where i got it from. all i know is that its in the novigrad/velen map.
@@xLetalis I play the game on ps4 (goty edition) and I managed to get ciri's sword everything was good until I found myself fighting the crones without sword I don't know if it's just me or it's CDPR punishment for doing this glitch it was hard to go back and replay the game from where the glitch was started if you're lucky enough and still have the save LOL

Don't know if you've covered this but here it is: During the quest "The Fall of Hous Reardon" i found a cellar/basement in which Dolores' Brother was bricked into a wall. (Similar to the man found in "The Castle" in Fallout 4) After finding the skeleton and a letter there is a special dialogue with Dolores when returning from the quest. I did this with Letho alive but i doubt that changes anything.
Wish we could get Wild Hunt's mean looking sword. I would put it on display in Corvo Bianco so Geralt can sip wine while reminiscing about the good old days when he whooped a little bitch's ass (compared to G.O.D. and the Elder at least) into New Game+.

That's because the only notable stat for this steel sword is the +45 to 200 percent Critical hit damage bonus, a percentage that is randomized every time he gives it to you as a reward. That means you can re-load as many times as you want until you get the 200 percent Critical hit damage bonus. Love your content and your dedication to the Witcher 3 game and lore. Even though I finished the game long ago, watched the show and read all of the books, I always look forward to your videos mate. I can’t wait for cd project red to make a Witcher 4 which I think would be a prequel or even complete remakes of the Witcher and Witcher 2.
every boss fights will yields exotic weapons or armor or items depending on your choices. Some characters & quest outcomes & exclusive stuffs in lifepaths too. In theory, you won't be able to collect all exotic weapons in one playthrough in normal play.
Good thing you mentioned the swords in B&W, a lot of people do not realised there is a full set of HEAVY ARMOR in there and a good silver sword. The one sword that you did not mentioned is the Viper Venomous Silver Sword that you can only get by challenge oDimm and going the wrong way, most people, incluiding me can only find it by googling where it is.

Lol level aero to 70 or higher then geshy becomes obsolete fast. Most powerful sword in the game it scales with every level

Not gonna lie, I came across Hubert on my second run throughout the game on max difficulty. Wanted to unlock all of the trophies to get platinum, and try out some different options along the way. Was not expecting there to be a second "boss" to the encounter, let alone one that turned out to be a Kattakan. Killed both the pervert priest and the vampire obviously :P

The Spade is easily one of my favorite sword weapons in any game ever. The look, the backstory, the effect, I know its a steel "sword" but that never stopped me from using it on foes I'm not supposed to XD Easily was my favorite, used it near religiously and when it got outclassed super fast in each new game+, it always hurt to know I would have to wait for a while before I got her again. But is always worth the wait

Alongside Geshift, there's also Vitis. Its the sword you get along with the unique armor set from looting the dead knight in the Land of a Thousand Fables. Follow the glowing orb near Longlocks tower to get it. Its like a counterpart to the Hen Gaidth armor, since both of those are part of mutually exclusive quests. Its a heavy knightly Golden and White Armor set.
The diagram for the Steel counterpart of the Viper sword you get from Gaunter's world is also missable. You get that diagram in the Heist of Hearts of Stone. Its in a box near the "house" of Borsodi you're supposed to be stealing.

I use olgier steel sword and the one you get from doing 5 quests from a hermit, Aerosomething. And I know a good trick to improve olgier sword, I added 3 slots on it and made 15%+ power attack, the red ultimate from olgier sword with +15% power attack it is really insane. Also use oil on steel sword to improve the attack to 50% and Hag decotion to improve 50% attack, the game on harderst difficulty became all instant hits to kill anyone. Even the guards are like common foes, since my queen shield activate mostly alone, when I lose all vitaliy geralt restore it 100% using mutagens.

Warning on the shovel: it has a terrible mounted hitbox.
I tried taking it into the tournament and couldn't hit shit with it on the horseback course, even though I was fine with a normal sword.
Thought I would cheat the fights with the shovel's healing, but it backfired.

It probably just has the same hitbox as all other swords, it’s just more noticeable when mounted
I really hope the new update brings in "reskining" or whatever you call it. I'd love to use the best items I have, yet make them look different. For example: as much as I love my cat armour, my favourite is the Wolven set, similar thing could go with some really nice looking swords that I can't really use because of my build (sure, I could for some time but it would become very annoying after a couple of minutes).
For some reason in my NG+ gameplay, the Legendery Viper Venomous Silver sword has the best damage stats, and I love using it lol

As much as I love the Witcher 3, I do believe that the weapon rarity system is messed up and provides little incentive for playing with weapons other the Witcher gear.
Irrespective of whatever weapons we use in the short term, the game always wants us to come back to the Witcher gear or an upgraded version thereof. I would have liked weapons like the Moonblade ( the best silver sword with a cool backstory in Witcher 1, in exchange for which I threw my Aerondight down an abyss in the first game), Caerme and Forgotten Vran Sword( both with their separate quests in Witcher 2) to be given more preference than they have now.
P.S I think some of the rarest items in Witcher 3 are the Oathbreaker Armor and the Great Sun Armor(a golden version of Nilfgaardian guardsman Armor). Unfortunately I beleive they appear only as random loot :(
That's true for the armor pieces, but I sometimes find myself not using Witcher swords
@xLetalis Agreed. It is a weird situation where there is saturation in the number of swords at one hand and partiality towards Witcher Armors on the other hand. Both can be solved by having more of item specific quests giving the items more backstory, uniqueness with distinctive stats. For e.g. “Teigr” means much more to me than “Daystar” simply as it has more story to it in game.
I think Ciri`s Zireael should have a spot here.
I knew about it but still struggled to get it with all the jumping from roof to roof.
In your video about it,I also said that I found an easier way to get it, simply ride the horse all the way to the gate and dismount it.
In many of the cases, Ciri will dismount on the other side of gate (in the city side). When you come back and mount the horse, she will get back in the episode area.
I still saved a lot of the swords I've collected, when I open the game I might come back with others (that are not in the comments already).

I was really hoping one of the rare weapons was Gaunter O'Dimm's spoon.
One very rare sword you didn't mention can be found on the bald mountain quest. After you fight the crones with ciri then you playing as geralt, you have to back track to where you killed the gate keeper demon. It's tricky getting over the wall but it can be done! Be sure to pick up the key to bald mountain door (i think it's the loot from the dead demon) or you won't be able to get back in if you jump down to where ciri fought the crones. Then your stuck and have to reload your game. But you'll find a cave to go thru at the crone fight area and in the cave you'll find the sword along the way. I can't remember what it's called because it's been about a year since I last played the game. Hope you mention it in a video! 😁😁

I love the idea for this video even though the witcher 3 seriously would have benefited from some balancing as most weapons and gear i find are under powered basically forcing me to use witcher gear every playthrough.Love the vid tho!!
For weapons you want to use longterm, in endgame, its important to wait you're at or near the level cap before getting them, so that when the item spawns it wont do so at a level that will quickly become obsolete.
I got a "third" Poker, on a third play on NG+ (but maybe you can get it on every NG+) : when you do the quest at Vegelbud's Residence, with Triss, to save the son of Lady Vegelbud, before fleeing, when you get to the stables, don't enter them, and on the left side of the stables (outside), there are two chests (one is quite hidden) and one of them contains another poker. First one i got chronologically, quest wise...
This game made me laugh harder than any game I’ve ever played. It’s like Oblivion but without all the glitches.
The steel Viper sword is another rare piece. Also i want to make a vídeo sugestion: your top amor and/or sword sets that are not Witcher gear. And to up the challenge you should also include sets from another Witcher games.
The Iris sword is interesting, not just because of its special ability but also any strong attack does double damage making it more effective then the mighty knights tourney steel sword. Not too mention it looks badass with the half sheath and the blade glinting as you move around.

i think you forgot about Ciri's sword. i mean its legit one of game breaking thing to do just to get it. i think that this sword is legit the rarest. also theres a sword (steel) that the edges glows every strike but it was soo long ago that i forgot where i got it from. all i know is that its in the novigrad/velen map.

I play the game on ps4 (goty edition) and I managed to get ciri's sword everything was good until I found myself fighting the crones without sword I don't know if it's just me or it's CDPR punishment for doing this glitch it was hard to go back and replay the game from where the glitch was started if you're lucky enough and still have the save LOL
The glowing sword you mention might be Iris, Olgierd's sword

Don't know if you've covered this but here it is:
During the quest "The Fall of Hous Reardon" i found a cellar/basement in which Dolores' Brother was bricked into a wall. (Similar to the man found in "The Castle" in Fallout 4)
After finding the skeleton and a letter there is a special dialogue with Dolores when returning from the quest.
I did this with Letho alive but i doubt that changes anything.
I found that too! I think the secret door was under a few barrels that you had to Aard.

Quick fact about the number one sword on your list,you'll want to make a quick save before Hjalmar actually gives you the sword.
That's because the only notable stat for this steel sword is the +45 to 200 percent Critical hit damage bonus, a percentage that is randomized every time he gives it to you as a reward. That means you can re-load as many times as you want until you get the 200 percent Critical hit damage bonus. Paired with Critical chance potions or decoctions or even oils, Hjalmar's Steel Sword can be a beast. (Credit to The Gamer,SID NATIVIDAD)

Love your content and your dedication to the Witcher 3 game and lore. Even though I finished the game long ago, watched the show and read all of the books, I always look forward to your videos mate. I hope there are some rare weapons or outfits or cars in cyberpunk 2077
every boss fights will yields exotic weapons or armor or items depending on your choices. Some characters & quest outcomes & exclusive stuffs in lifepaths too.
In theory, you won't be able to collect all exotic weapons in one playthrough in normal play.
a bunch of characters will have iconic tier weapons, which are completely exclusive to that character.
Good thing you mentioned the swords in B&W, a lot of people do not realised there is a full set of HEAVY ARMOR in there and a good silver sword.
The one sword that you did not mentioned is the Viper Venomous Silver Sword
that you can only get by challenge oDimm and going the wrong way, most people, incluiding me can only find it by googling where it is.
I did actually talk about the venomous silver sword ( I said steel by accident, but I corrected myself with text on screen )
you can also get the small poker in a chest on a cart at the brothel near the nilfgardian camp in velen.
