I know, Mike made me want to cover my non existent drink he made the down time so creepy because I never knew what he was gonna do or how he’d react.

And it was so accurate how a lot of what Mike did and said had deniability. “We can have some fun tonight, you know what I mean.” Sydney could confront him but he could simply say something else. Forcing her on the bed? He just wants to “talk.” And even the ending where Mike finally barges in shows how these situations aren’t black and white, sure, that’s a good thing, but bro was still a creep even though he stood up for Sydney.

In a low end rental house, owned and intruded upon multiple times by a creep owner, so she’s already in danger if she isn’t under his “protection”. A secondary location, no ride of her own, his car is the only one there, in a snowstorm, alone with a guy who wants sex. Functionally landlocked in any situation beyond where she gives him whatever he wants. And he claims he’s a good guy and will “take care of the details” or whatever he said but he’s unbelievably selfish and absolutely deaf to her situation.
And yes, it /was/ good when he showed up. He wanted her alive, I guess. For his own reasons, which is better than the other two men that wanted her dead for other reasons. That’s an improvement.

I cried seeing this live because it’s so true about being a woman and being on edge when you’re with somebody like Mike. And then obviously it gets worse for Sydney than we all thought. Very excellent storytelling, having us guessing between the villains. Very accurate to the female experience - like wanting someone else around constantly to feel safe - and you could really see how Case felt uncomfortable with the men involved in this game. His reaction to Mike’s repeated sexual advances, Rick being a creep, and deciding to hug Mike despite the fact he aggressively came onto her (him) just as an attempt to placate shows how he is beyond that of an average streamer. He is intelligent and empathetic and doesn’t rely on shock value or flashing the camera like Speed. Idk, it means a lot and is so refreshing in the gaming community to have such a safe space for women and the LGBTQ. He has such a wide audience. So well done.
