    Only flaw is one of the main reasons you shuck corn before cooking is to check for bugs, cornbore, etc.

      Ah, good point. Although I always still do a check at the top to make sure no bugs are there. This method still works even if you pulled the husks apart at the top a bit first to see. 😀
