Welcome!! Yeah it is great, works quickly and the corn turns out fantastic. However if you have lots of ears of corn to do at once, you may be better off boiling them or grilling them, etc.
Hey! I love your cooking videos so much! They are so clear and fantastic and filled with postive energy. I've been wondering if you've ever thought about making a Baugette video! I absolutely love baugettes and would love to follow a video by you on how its made! Lots of love from a fellow viewer!
That may happen if you grow them yourself, but there shouldn't be any worms with mass grown store bought corn. With that said, if there are worms they will get nuked, when you pull off the shuck if you see dead worms then you can decide if you want to still eat the corn or not. I have never had any problem with any insects or worms in my corn. But then again that is probably because all the pesticides that are used haha.
@@inthekitchenwithmatt I just found out that you have another corn on the cob video on your channel from a few years ago. I notice that sometimes, you tend to repeat a recipe on your channel twice, but it’s not uncommon for recipe creators to post the same recipe twice on his or her channel.
I shuck and clean the corn! Put it in an appropriate dish with about a fourth cup of water, cover with plastic wrap, cook for three minutes per ear on high and works great! Of course, not the best method for large amounts! The method he is using looks a bit messy for dinnertime!
Where's your little plastic corn cob "looking" skewers to stick in each end or the cob to hold when you eating it? Never done fresh corn in the microwave, always bought the frozen short cobs to microwave in a plastic microwave container with a couple drops of water at work for lunch, always thawed my corn cob in the refrigerator overnight to before taking it to work. Believe about 60 to 90 seconds, think the frozen corn is already semi cooked plus I like my corn a little underdone & crunchy than mushy. Added butter, salt & pepper after microwaving it.
Awesome! After YEARS of boiling, this is the new way of preparing corn on the cob. Thank you sooooo much.

I never even thought about cooking it in a microwave. My favorite food is enjoyed again. No stove here. Only a microwave, thanks for the info.🎉
You are very welcome!! Yeah it is so convenient and much quicker than the stove, especially just for 1 or 2 ears of corn.
Hi Matt, I’ve been doing my corn like this for a couple years now and it comes out perfect every time. Thank you for telling everyone!
Awesome!! Glad you like it this way too, it is so quick and easy this way.
I just cooked some like this for lunch. So easy!
Awesome!! So easy indeed!
I like your video. No fuss no muss just straight to the point. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you!! :) And you are very welcome!
Thank you so much! This is such an easy way to cook fresh corn. Great video. Mine turned out just like yours. I’m so happy.
You are so very welcome! I am glad you gave it a try and liked the results!
You, sir, are saving the world.
haha thanks!
Watching from the PH. 😁 this vid is such a huge help! Thank u, Matt! ❤
Awesome! You are welcome!
This works awesome !!! The only thing I did differently was to slit the husk lengthwise to account for the taper. Thanks !!
Welcome!! Glad you tried it!
Thank you Matt. Can't wait to make my corn on the cob! 🙆
You are very welcome! Let me know how it turns out after trying this method.
Do you add water to the husk first>
I generally just rinse the husk off first. But no need to soak them or anything like that.
Panasonic makes the best microwaves, I have one just like yours and love it. I love cooking corn this way!
I have had mine for quite some time, love it!! Yeah it is so easy especially if you just want a couple of ears of corn cooked fast.
I’ve had several but I’ve read they’re all made by one or 2 companies. It’s just looks and a little software that makes them different.

@@maxduong4537 Yes that is a pretty old video, I wanted to update it.
Hey I have that exact same microwave! 👍
Awesome!
You should create a shake dance to perform when you shake the corn cob out 😂.
lol
700 watts, 16 minutes for 2 corns.
Yeah, my microwave is 1200 watts 2 ears take like 6 minutes
great, i can retire my corn brush
Awesome!

The whole point of this is that you don't have to shuck it. It works perfectly. Try it. No nearly as messy as shucking it haha

This video isn't about the cob holders it is about cooking the corn. :)
@@inthekitchenwithmatt True but the cob was hot after cooking & you was trying to hold the hot corn cob with your fingers!
@@casey6518 you can use a hot mitt if desired for that or use tongs to pull it out. The shake method works the best in my opinion.
🥰
Thanks!!
Seems like a long time to cook corn
It's not. 3 minutes is much faster than cooking it traditionally.
Not really.
