How do you like to make your corn on the cob?
Never have it, way too expensive
Sorry, I am not cornivore
I usually boil or roast it, then remove it from the cob and season it.
@@mzamroni Corny joke....
@@sandybarnes887 ???? On the moon. $15 a bushel (50 ears ) in season
Steam in oven between 3-4 mins with husks
Pour melted salted butter on cobs
Sprinkle combination of pepper/lemon pepper & parmesan cheese
1 or 2 more mins in the oven, then DONE & DELICIOUS!! GUARANTEED!!😋🙌🏾💃🏾
The "Tassels " are on top of the cornstalk. Those hairs are called silks !
Thank you.
I love me some corn but can't eat it anymore having a digestive disease sucks can't digest it. Love it boiled but really love it grilled 😋.
I leave it in the shuck, microwave it for 4 minutes per cob cut the large end off & squeeze it out, apply butter, salt & pepper. 😎👍
The husk. Shucking is removing the husk.
@@lynnebattaglia-triggs1042 lol,yup. Thanks for the correction.👍
@D P never heard of it but I will Google it, appreciate the tip !
Tried it, really easy and the ears did fine. Didn't tell anyone there and all agreed it tasted great. Then they were told about the Air Fryer. We all learned a new kitchen trick for saving time and not lacking flavor.
@@a52091ekt 😎👍
Microwave 3-4 minutes with husk intact. Cut off the stem end, grab the silk and squirt it out of the husk.
No wrapping or soaking needed. The husk insulates and steams the cob perfectly.
That's chef John from food wishes technique.
I have try doing what you said cutting off the end and squirting out, sounds good
I eat it right from the field. I never cook it. So much flavor, way more flavor, than cooking it . Yummmmmmmmmmm
Boil it.
Butter it.
Salt it.
Pepper it.
Boom done.
Pepper?😐
Silk. The tassel is on top of the plant, and is the source of the pollen that fertilizes the silks.
I soak mine in a 5 gallon bucket of water before I put it on the grill and I leave it in the husk
Also s damned good way to cook it....
i soak mine in cold water for about an hour and put it into the microwave for 4 minutes per ear and it steams because of the water in the husks from soaking.
I don't peel mine, and won't buy it if the end is already cut off. I use the husk as a handle.
Boil in milk water and butter. Pure heaven.
You need to pull the husks down a little to check for worms.
Oh...but if you haven't tried grilling your "rosnears" a whole nother taste sensation! 😋
I just throw it in the air fryer now. You can wrap it in foil for a more boiled effect or straight on the racks for more grilled effect. Quick and easy.
Caveman it on charcoal with husk on til it's charred and smokey
I couldn't get through the whole video. The narrator has Vocal Fry at the end of every sentence and this drives me bonkers
Yeah, it's verging on whining, or a Valley Girl pattern. I think it's AI.
?
Sounds cute af...
I only need 1 at a time so I microwave it in the husk for 2:30 and let it stand for a minute or two to cool down a little before shucking. The silk just pulls right off too.
See my reply above.
Wrap it in wax paper, twist the ends and nuke on high for 4 minutes. Faster than other methods and it tastes so good.
Why do people say "nuke" for microwave? There's nothing nuclear about it, lol. It doesn't make any sense.
If you’re worried about freshness and opening the husk at the grocery store, just buy it the day you want to use it. Like seafood. Not really a big deal.
I boil them and they come out just fine. No need to get fancy schmancy.
Steaming is much better.
I just steam the ears for 5 minutes. Simple and delicious.
lucky for me my old man never cared about dining etiquette. he'd say "just make your mess over the plates. you're the one washing them after anyway"
Mix a liberal dose of salt and pepper to 2 tbsns soft butter on the edge of the plate. Apply butter 'as you go' with your knife. Max butter, no mess. Thanks Dad.
Yes
I soak mine in a saltish water brine..then wrap in foil an grill
Soak in the husk and grill no need for foil
@@dedklownx
Cook quicker.
But right
If you don't pull the husk back how do you know if the sweet corn is juicy? How do you know if the corn cob has worms in it? And I've never been to a store that has signs saying do not pull the husks back. You don't know what your talking about!
Worms are added protein
Mayo chili powder hot sauce
With husk on, rinse under cool water and microwave for about 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. Using oven gloves, hold the ear and start to gently grasp and slowly pull the silk group from the top. This usually removes 99% of the silk! then peel off the husk, and butter, salt, and pepper (or spices if you wish). E Z P Z. 👍🌽🌽🌽
Actually, if you just cut off a half inch or so of the stalk end, you can then squeeze the silk end like a tube of toothpaste and the corn will come right out, virtually silk free.
In Iowa, we throw it in a pan of boiling salted water with butter in it. Iowans know how to make their cash crop
I will never boil mine again I put mine in the oven wrapped in foil
Butter and Old Bay = Yummy!
Boil for 3 minutes, roll in butter and salt well. Eat right away.
Exactly how we do it here in South Africa
Butter/ old bay seasoning...done.
I'm going to make all the huge mistakes just to piss everyone off for fun!
Watched your 9min video on how to boil corn even it takes only 8min to boil corn. Lmao
The narrator must be a Valley Girl... because, "oh my gosh... you totally got to make sure the corn doesn't dry out. Like... totally... and if you do, you're totally missing out... Totally. "
so barbecue with husks on is best
I love coooorn. 😶
It’s so funny how many of the images don’t mirror the voice over. Editor!
she didnt say anything about putting it in the Bon fire
Corn...big lumps with juice😂
Ouch!!!! That being said...are you and I secretly twins???? I DID THE SAME DAMNED THING!!!
@@antonbruce1241 More importantly, why did our Parents let us do it??
The biggest mistake is grilling it too long , and NOTHING about it !
Microwave with with husk on!
Husked and then steamed on stovetop for 4 minutes.DONE
Adding a little sugar helps the taste
I cook it in the microwave, two minutes per cob. E.g. Three cobs = six minutes in microwave.
Wrap it in plastic wrap, microwave 3 minutes, perfect every time.
Sounds good, but are you supposed to use plastic wrap in the microwave? I thought that was bad because of carcinogens from the plastic. Maybe a glass bowl would work? Has anyone tried this? Thanks.
Just nuke it right in the husk. The husk peels off super-easy after cooking, so it’s really saving you a couple of steps that way.
If you feel the need to wrap it before you microwave it, use waxed paper. Cheap and safe in the microwave.
I'm pretty sure I've read you don't want plastic wrap touching your food in the microwave. Something about carcinogens being released by the microwaves. I leave the husks on and wrap in a damp paper towel for 3 minutes depending on size, then, into foil and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
SAlt&Pepper shaker... yum.
Season with Lemon-Pepper..........You're welcome
I've done that for years!!👊🏾
Her voice is so irritating that I couldn't hang with it.
Ok Karen
@@og-greenmachine8623 Quite a childish response.

Ok boomer
Old Bay season and a vinegar pepper sauce
Interesting! Didn’t think about Old Bay! Thank you! 👍
Never keep the husks on while grilling on charcoal
Why?
We can surely appreciate a mute button with this 1!!!😒
Good digestion???
It's good digestion because it goes straight through. You don't have to worry about indigestion.😁🤠
Just steam it.
The narrator has the most annoying vocal fry ever.
I agree!!
Yep, she does. And the intonation. Ugh.
Very much!
W.O.W.
Poor narration. Should improve the recording. Narration conflicts with images shown.
Would you kindly quit using AI to read your script and do it yourself and if you have mic fright hire a human to read I’m totally tired of listening to mispronounced words when I detect AI I quit listening and move on to thumbs down and leave a comment!
I husk it and then steam it for 7 minutes.
This video makes as much sense as Joe Potato Biden.
You mean fascist dictator traitor Trump is still your hero? Go figure.
@@mrmusiclover4178 When I imagine your voice I get all hard. You really know how to talk to a guy. Um, yeah.
🙄
More polarizing sheepism 🤡
Eat it raw!
That’s what SHE said...
Just nuke it for 3-4 min with husk on.
exactly. perfectly cooked and husk slides off effortlessly. odd the video makes no mention of this.
Your microwave isn't a nuclear reactor.
@@mygirldarby So says "Captain Obvious".
Her voice is fried...had to leave...ughh
Leave in the husk, nuke it 3 mins. Per ear.
there's something mildly annoying about the voice...maybe it's vocal fry?
This video is cornspiracy
That voice makes me want to scream.
I agree !!!
If the
Just. Steam. The. Cob.
I smoke mine, and baste it with a seasoned garlic butter I make.
Is there a cure for the vocal fry? My gosh her voice is irritating!
I wrap mine in crap, with a little butter and ice cream, and call it Biden on the cob…
Long video with no recipes.
What a joke for a video
This narrator has no clue what they are talking about
6:55 Looks gross. .😭😭
Why?
if folks need this video to cook corn on the cob that is sad!
Why do they pick people with such annoying voices to narrate these videos?
Ranch butter

Ikr
Oh god no, never ranch anything.
Blah blah blab annoying
