I was laid up because of surgery when I discovered your videos on RUclips. You had already aired a couple of videos of the 5 acre pond build. I found your videos very interesting, so I went back and watched your previous videos to catch up. I haven’t missed a video since! I can hardly wait two weeks for a new video to come out.
I really enjoy your content and your narration. I used to love to hunt and fish, but I’m now disabled and have a hard time getting around, walking on uneven ground is almost impossible for me. So I watch a lot of hunting and fishing content and get my pleasure of the outdoors through others.
I enjoy seeing all the wildlife and watching you catch the bass and seeing the bass continue to grow. Keep up the great content, I look forward to every other Sunday evening to see a new video. God Bless You and Your Family! Ed, from Kentucky……

@@C5Ceezus i guess its all about perspective but 402k is a ton for the average person, and even for an upper middle class person with a 3-5m networth. this Pond is a major part of his RUclips channel so it makes him money and will eventually become a profitable thing (if not already), but if i had a 5m networth and just wanted a nice pond for fishing, swimming and maybe jet skiing in, spending lets say 500k, 10% of my NW would be pretty wild. that being said, a 500k pond for someone with 5m invested making 10% average annual growth certainly isnt going to ruin your finances. if i was some above average guy making $250k a year, 400k for a pond would be a crazy expenditure.
all that being said, to each their own and if this makes him happy then thats a great use of his money, and ofc its an asset that will last for generations assuming his family holds onto the land. its certainly better than spending 400k on luxury cars that typically go down in value

My pond is a small wildlife pond made out of a child's paddling pool dug into a few feet of dirt, and laid onto a bed of sand. Obviously not big enough to keep bass in, but it's brought frogs, toads, birds, and even the occasional snake into the garden. Whilst I love your five acre pond project, a wildlife pond can be practically any size as long as your aim is to provide habitat for aquatic species to move into.

A bass pond was never in my retirement plans, I am not a fisherman. I found your site through watching some youtubers that got backyard aquascapes ponds. I really love how much wild life it attracts. Now I am thinking hmmm maybe.

I started watching this channel and other pond contractors’ when I had the idea of having a koi pond in my backyard. They helped me gathering ideas for the type of build, budget, and maintenance etc. I ordered materials online & from home stores before digging. The build (mainly the digging) took two of us (woman in 50s & man in 60s) and two seasons (1 fall and 1 spring, unexpected tree roots from trees over 100 years old). By late spring of the second year, the koi fish and hyacinths were in the pond! It was pure joy watching the fish swimming, hyacinths blooming, and water falls (simple waterfalls in the beginning and later bog filters) running. Shortly after that, birds, frogs, groundhogs, raccoons, deer, hawks, buzzards... all started to come to our backyard. That’s the house project we’re proud of and enjoyed the most. The young family that purchased my property a couple of years ago also loved aquatic stuff. The husband always had a dream of owning his own pond, according to him.

This has been an amazing journey so far. I have loved watching along and seeing all the wildlife moving in as the project progressed. I am more a Koi carp keeper than a Bass man, but the way you present the video's each week makes them interesting and educational. I caught the first one by accident and have been hooked ever since. Thanks for sharing this project with us all and looking forward to seeing what comes next and who is moving in.

Appreciate you giving such a thorough breakdown of the build. I’ve been watching your channel since the first pond in your backyard. This channels become one of my goto channels, I’ve watched every episode/video. You’re one of the few creators who keeps a consistent schedule, and always goes above and beyond on all of your projects. I know things happen, but it gets frustrating when you watch a project for months, and the content creators suddenly stops midway to start on something else.
You guys have earned every penny earned on social media, it’s awesome to hear you’ve been able to fund all of this from your content. I assumed this much, but didn’t know for sure. See ya in the next video, 🙏🏻🇺🇸.
