I love nature as my husband & I built a home on a 165 acre tree farm. We bought the land in 1979 & built our home in 2000. It is so quiet as it is at the end of the road, then it goes into a No Maintenance Road. In the summer in our upstairs bedroom we can hear coyotes, woodpeckers, geese & the deer are everywhere. Feed all kinds of birds in the winter. Glorious place! Loved your video, very fascinating!!

from our woods. My husband, myself & 1 of our sons built it. Thank you Deborah!

Mom found a feral cat when I was a little girl. We named her Taffy. Daddy built a dog house, whech was the cat house after many pleas from us children because it was so cold outside and snowy. He put a heating pad in it! Taffy would learn trust as the years went by, and would come in for feedings and a snuggle and pet from time time. She lived 20 years with us. She was loved. But really never stayed inside for long. She liked outside better.

Hello, this is my first comment ever in my RUclips history, however I just want to suggest the name Nelson for the bass you caught in this video with The tag number ending in 32303 with the letter N. When I stumbled onto the videos you created, I found myself relaxed and interested in the wildlife at the pond. And using the pond for the infomercials works great. Thanks for the content.

Not sure if anybody noticed but that mama deer first takes off in the direction she wants her fonts to go to get their instinct to run the opposite direction then after a bounce or two she then change his direction and charges towards the coyote. Clever

Hello! My son and I love watching your channel. It's hard to believe we have been watching your progress for many years now. You have a wonderful way about you and how you narrate your episodes of BamaBass. You mentioned that you needed a "N" name. I would like to suggest the name "Nova". We picked Nova for two reasons. We are lovers of all things in the cosmos. A nova is a sudden increase in brightness of a star, often due to a thermonuclear explosion on its surface. This definition reminds me of a big 'ol bass exploding to the surface to grab some bait! Secondly, we chose Nova as we are from the province of Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada!

It’s an absolutely beautiful thing when you can find REAL still shots of the natural world, that just obviously look grossly photo shopped!!! I took a shot of an ORANGE leaf young maple tree, I mean this tree was as bright as the hunting safety orange, or the inspiration, but with the evening light, the sunset behind it, it looks like a massive fire.
Nature’s beauty out powers the cameras strength for capturing it sometimes…..and I live for that stuff.
You’re an artist my friend, I’m not sure you’ve quite figured this out. The land you have to play with is your canvas, it seems to be your inspiration…..

Yes as I've mentioned before here, eagles have extreme fidelity to their nest. They won't abandon it unless the nest is destroyed. The pair that you see often have claimed the pond as their territory and will not tolerate another pair in the nest you built. They will fight and sometimes fatalities occur. Even if a pair uses the nest Owl Capone and Hooter will attack them viciously. The constant owl vs eagle conflict is an often seen sight on the SWFL eagle nest cam. The owls attack the eagles at night when they are roosting and blast the eagles right off their perches.

Just found your site. Really awesome! From Oregon! I miss going out riding in the hills near us as we got to see all kinds of wildlife! Lots of elk. And Cinnamon & Spice two Bob cats, and the cougars. We liked to avoid the black bear but the horses sure know when he was around!
What a great place you have made!

Still having tilapia alive in the middle of January after an ice storm is wild. I know the same storm hit Texas last week hit you guys too.

Hey Bamabass, my daughter and I are here in Mobile and have loved catching up on your pond build the last few months. Her suggestion for the N bass is Nemona.

Back in the 1960s I enjoyed lake fishing day and night fishing using only barbed hooks back then. They were so difficult to remove without tearing the fish’s skin. These smooth hooks are a lot kinder..

16:45. Have you considered putting more shelter for the fish in the pond so they can hide from such as cormorants?
A tangle of fallen branches? Maybe even a dock you can walk on that has bars too small for the birds but lets the fish by? Or some cage like structures letting free access for just the fish?
I bet there are great ways out there I haven’t thought of! Anyone else have any ideas?

It’s crazy how fast time has gone by. Feels like you started this pond a couple months ago.

Your pond has gone from simple to great. I've been watching since first fixed up the pond in your backyard. I remember you playing Bonnie and Clyde frequently. Now 2 children and a very successful pond/farm. I think that's great.
How about using the name nippy for 'N'.
