Knocking a running shoe for creasing in the toe isn’t a valid argument. With the motion of running, most shoes will crease in the toe it’s not a big deal.

Personally I feel the same but I've talked to several people that experience blisters on the tops of their feet when the upper creases due to excess material or a higher instep. It's at least worth a mention even if it's not always a bad thing.

QOD: currently using the Saucony Tempus. I’m just loving this shoe for its innovative approach to light stability. Very comfortable and smooth underfoot, but responds well when you want to turn up the pace also. Saucony had really been winning me over the last couple of years and I’ve become a fan for sure!

I use the invincible 1 and 2 for anything other than a hard run (tempo/speed work) and so far it has worked for me and I have grown to love the shoe even more. It may take a bit to get used to but it is a surprisingly versatile shoe that can do anything you want it too, even picking up the pace and longer runs up to 15 miles. It is also really durable which I have come to enjoy and my first pair are at 500 miles right now and I plan to use the worn out pair for easy days and my new 2s for more demanding runs. Overall a great shoe that can do many things while protecting your legs. Not to mention the zoomx foam has some great energy return and can even be used for some easy workouts if you wanted to.

QD: I was completely in love with the More V3 last year. Just got cleared to run a month ago after a near year long hiatus from an Achilles injury. I just keep reaching for the Invincible 2’s over my new More v3 I bought just before the injury. They are just sooo soft and bouncy and they feel so much better coming back from this injury. I will buy the More v4 after in a month or two, but for now the Invincibles just feel better.

QD: My go to easy running day shoe right now is the Hoka Stinson ATR 5. I have 2 pairs actually. I love all the cushion and it’s versatility for road or trail. It is VARY heavy. But, I like that for easy days since it forces me to slow down and not push my paces. I’m not good at slowing down, so that shoe keeps me honest. Plus, my other shoes feel extra light in comparison.

The version 3 that's coming out in 2023 is the next one I'll be buying. I bought V1 and the only thing I didn't like was the fact that the zoomx gets chewed up on the inside outsole where it's not protected by the rubber. however, in version 3 they completely protect it which is exactly what I was hoping for. Also, It just looks way more comfortable than V1 and V2.

QD: I differ from most and prefer a more minimal shoe for easy days. I can tap my feet off the ground and strengthen my feet and lower leg and keeping impact low. I tend to land harder in soft shoes so I save them for sessions and long runs.

QD: I've got the More V4 (thanks to Seth) and Nike Invincible v1. I really enjoy them both a ton. I think with the More v4 the cushion is less responsive so I actually have an easier time committing to running slow and easy. The Invincible is fantastic and I actually prefer the upper to the more v4. It is definitely more bouncy so you may be tempted to go faster than intended when you put these shoes on. The Invincible has been my go to Easy Run/Longer Slow Runs for 2 years approx... I call them my running slippers! But I've never been a fan of the upper.
First pair, v1 Bright Yellow, I got up to 400miles and started to just use them for 3-5 mile easy shake outs. Currently at 550 miles and still going fairly strong but probably another 50-80km before I retire them.
My current second pair, v1 Grey Marl, are at at 300miles. Still comfy still good to run but I have noticed the upper is coming away from the sole a little around the forefoot.
My gripe with Nike right now though is laces.... how short are they? I'm a UK 11/11.5 and use a runners knot… but in most cases my big sausage fingers struggle to tie a knot. Do Nike just supply the same laces for every size of shoe?
So yeah c'mon Nike... fix these uppers, make them show a tad lighter and give us appropriate length of laces please. :D

What a spot-on review!!! I have been wondering what shoes I should be resuming my running in after a month of this foot surgery. Actually, I have the previous version of Invincible. Guess it'd still make a joy ride after this forced hiatus. I am being patiently taking care of my mentality through these runless days for another month. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️Thank you so much, Seth. 🙏

Love the comfort of the nike, but I only use them for walking at work. I'm a delivery driver and spend 6 to 10 hours a day on my feet, mostly on concrete. My issue with them are the grip. In dry conditions, they're great, in wet conditions, they feel like walking on ice.

Just picked these up for $115 on the Nike app. Just curious on what price would push these to an 8 on your scoring scale. Not sure about the rest of DGR but i honestly can’t remember the last pair of shoes running shoes that I paid full price for between price drops or coupons. Maybe a good QOD???

Exciting! I like to stay active on the channel for more than just the running shoes and I've loved the content recently even if it's been different, but it's admittedly refreshing to see this aspect of the channel return. Congrats on getting healthier, keep up the good work and enjoy the process!

I wanted to love this shoe but it was too unstable for me and I rolled my ankle making a sharp turn in the city. I also got crazy blisters which has never happened with new running shoes :(

I do all my easy runs in an old pair of Nike Vaporfly Next%s. I have over 500 miles in them and they are still going strong. They easily beat all the 'true' but clunky easy days shoes that I also own.

Did anyone else have an issue with the midsole coming unglued from the upper on the first iteration of this shoe? I really liked it but it started falling apart on me around mile 90. And it’s just a bit too expensive to buy if it’s not even getting me to 200.

  • @TheScottyLincoln

Unfortunately I will be moving on from the invincible. I had two pairs of the V1 and now my version 2 is already flattened at alittle over 200 miles. They feel like my V1’s did at over 300 miles. Also don’t like the new tongue and alittle too much room in the toe box from the first version. I’m moving on to the Saucony Triumph 20.

I put 300mi in the original Invincible Run. It is probably my favorite non-race shoe.
When I came back from recent injury, I bought the New Balance More v4, because it was $50 cheaper than Invincible Run 2, and I'm regretting it. Tongue on the NB is awful, and the foam is not nearly as springy as the ZoomX on Invincible.

it's a pity that Zoomx is such a weak material, I have just returned 2 pairs of these shoes as the Zoomx is falling apart. Overall they are good, stable at a good pace and very very comfortable, I still managed some dark toenails and a few blisters, but I didn't want to risk breaking the whole Zoomx so I returned them.

no durometer score? unless i'm mistaken, you've never given us a durometer score for any zoomx shoe you've reviewed. it would be useful know where zoomx sits when comparing other midsoles.

My current easy day go to is the New Balance More v3 (still have those - can't wait to get some v4s!). The are just super comfy - I'll call them "The Pillows". They are a heavier shoe also, so wearing them makes it easier for me to "stay slow" and keep things easy.

It is a super comfortable and cushioned shoe. It's a pity that they came out with damage. It is not normal that I have to be using glue at no less than 300 km from used.
