You’re right, there isn’t anything else that feel like the invincible runs. Only reason I’m hesitant to p/u v3 because v1 and v2 had durability issue in 3 different colors, the midsole separated from the upper and/or ripped were the outsole was glued. 2 pairs only made to 40miles and sent back, last pair 105miles, sent back.
Maybe the new painted sections on v3 will help with better adhesion I dunno. If cheap enough, I will give it a shot I’m sure 😅

I dont think they have such a narrow use - I love bouncing around in my 2's. Short daily runs 4 miles ish where pace doesnt matter or flattish 10 milers getting the miles in. They are fun. Boing!

Bought for re-starting my training after some quite severe Tibialis posterior injury(the inside of my shin),. It really helps me keep the pace down. I Have a tendency to be bad at pacing, and I am especially bad at running slow. Now that i need to run slow to re-gain my fitness without injury this is amazing.

Thanks Edd. Have utilised a runner’s knot on this and just about got a lock down achieved now. Just putting the shoe on and walking around there’s massive heel slip. Have to say - run at the right sort of pace and this shoe is really enjoyable. It isn’t like the Novablast that I just find some comfortable and easy to run in.

I'm sold on the Cloudsurfer 7 for easy day runs as it also has the capability to put in some faster efforts, just love that shoe, best of 2023 so far for me, I had V.1 of the Invincible Run and they felt like running in a soft brick

  • @roycesutherland8268

I am using the Invincible Run 2 and can relate to the "quicksand" feel. Legs feel like they loose strength in a run, but are never sore. The ZoomX bounce feel didn't last past 100mi but they sure are comfy for daily walking. I think they need to offer less logos on the shoes too, they look silly enough without extra colourways and the stickerbomb of swoosh

    • @EDDBUD

Great video! I’ve been wearing for about a week and a half, I love the comfort on foot and long runs (10k) they’re the only shoes that my feet don’t hurt in after the 10k. I do have flat feet and should be wearing stability shoes but the comfort of these makes running for me so much easier. These shoes are not good at cornering for me lol my foot seems to slide a lot in the shoe around corners and I use a runners knot. @@EDDBUD I wanted to report back after trying out the Invincible 3's and unfortunately have to say that after several runs and £175 later they actually started to cause me pain in one of my tendons behind my right knee and developed a muscle knot in my right quad. I will say though that it definitely reduced the pain in my shins though. Anyhow im sure it's mainly because they were causing me to run differently and use different muscle groups and that over time my legs would have got stronger but the pain in the back of the knee was too much atm so went back to my solarglides for now and strangely after switching back I had no pain

I knew I disagree with about the the invincible run 3
I was the world biggest fan of the v1/v2 but I couldn’t use the the v3 it didn’t matter what I did with the laces I got heel slip
On the few runs I tried them before sending them back they felt a lot less bouncy then the v1/v2 and they also felt less soft and way stiffer
Glad they worked for you edd
If they work as well as first 2 did for me then like you say there’s nothing in the market like them
I just hope Nike make the next version usable for me and hopefully with more of the characteristics I loved about the v1/v2

@@livegreatalways tried and could reduce heel slip but not totally get rid of it plus I really didn’t like that shoe anyway it just lost all the magic of the first two versions
Luckily I stocked up on v1/v2
I also got the new balance sc trainer v1 which is kind of like a super charged invisible run with a plate in and I love it so I wouldn’t go back to the invincible run unless the next version feels more like the v1/v2
But glad the v3 worked for you anyway and

Now then young Sir, as you know I thought V2 was running on trampolines and no good for me. However with V3 having a wider sole plate - making it more stable for me and appearing to be more heel striker friendly, the shoe works for this slightly older runner who needs that max cushioning and yes I do agree with you it is far too expensive as it is really one trick pony - but really like this version as it makes running fun (isn’t that the point). Excellent review as always Ed and keep up the good work 👍

    • @EDDBUD

I had a brief romantic fling with the Invincible 2 until the squish, not the swoosh left my knees barking with runners knee. It was fun while it lasted. Unrequited ❤️ The Zoom X without a plate or shank in the midsole for some is like getting on a mechanical bull. You're trying to keep your form steady, but your mechanics just go awry from the incredible bounce. Perhaps Nike should learn from Sketchers, who they like to sue a lot with the popular Maxroad model. A supercritical foam, high stack partially plated shoe that has just the right combination between firmness and softness and can handle more types of runs in a more friendly way. I just purchased the Topo Cyclone 2, pebax without a plate. My first Topo. Am I gluten for punishment😫 No, because of the much lower stack, lesser pebax, lower drop, and a lesser rocker geometry, the chemistry works ideally and in tandem. A plate would ruin it. Very responsive and versatile. The wider toebox also gives you that extra balance and stability. Criminally lightweight. l'm so excited to start running in them. It will be replacing my Endorphin Speed 2, which I find the fit way too restrictive. Speed 3 too soft.Tom Petty, now you talk'n my era! Brilliant, but without his right hand man and co- writer, guitarist extraordinaire Mike Campbell, we would have been missing out on some great songs and great guitar playing. Check out Tom's first band, Mudcrutch, that he reformed in 2016, when he was the bass player. 2 albums came out of it. Obviously, it has a Heartbreakers vibe to it, but in a more layed back way. Good stuff like your reviews. Keep it up.👍
