    I had never even heard of the invincible line of shoes, but I recently gave them a try and I am absolutely in love with them. SO SOFT and even as a pretty novice runner, I get absolutely no soreness in my legs after runs

    The heel slippage I had to start has gone away with the runner knot but also just break in. I think the heel has become a bit more “rough” if that makes sense. It was really smooth to start and caused that heel slip for me. After 50 miles, it’s good. I agree that it’s more versatile, it’s a solid shoe! Recommend if you want more stability and lockdown compared to the 3. If you’re just after an easy day shoe with an emphasis on comfort, stick with v1 or v2!

      What is the heel slippage and runners knot for?

    • @samuraisoul151
      @samuraisoul151 25 дней назад

      @@livingonthetyne This is maybe too late, but heel slippage is the occasion your shoes slip away from your feet, which will start from the heel, first. The runner knot is for tightening the further foot area which are the last extra holes of the shoes, and the shoes can hug your feet better if the last hole is put and stretched as you tie your shoes.

    It sounds like the 2 was better at being an easy, cushioned shoe. People who wanted the shoe for that purpose did not need it to be “versatile”.

    • @lmozza4402
      @lmozza4402 Год назад

      I know Ben does use foam rollers and everything like that but there is no magic formula. If you increase your mileage your legs will hurt for a while. They will soon become adapted to the increase in mileage and gradually hurt less as you hit that mileage. When you increase the mileage again, the process will repeat. Ben has done a few marathon blocks peaking around 160+km now so anything around the 100-130km range would feel alright.

    Just picked these up & have done two runs. Same ride, invincible 3 is more cushioned “most likely due to the extra foam” & it’s slightly heavier.
    The lockdown is by far superior in the new model. That’s one of the first things I noticed. I love the new upper. I felt like the 1/2 model didn’t provide much stability at slower paces.

    I have two pairs of the third version, and have had multiple problems with the upper. The upper digs into the top of my foot and where the lace lock is are hot spots. They are not as soft as the 1st two versions. There is some minor heal slip, but no rubbing. There is significantly less cushioning on the upper the holds your foot, almost like a stripped down competitive shoe.

    • @steveh8758

      Completely agree with everything you said. I’m sending my 3s back , there not completely rubbish but I’m not going to use the 3s all the time I can use the 2s so would be a waste of money to keep them.

    • @alexbelikov6660
      @alexbelikov6660 Год назад

      Do you like the 1st or the 2nd version more for casual short runs?
      I still have v1, haven't justified upgrading yet - the 2nd looked very similar, and now the 3rd seems like an upgrade for longer runs due to improved stability, and an downgrade for short casual runs because of the less cushioned 'racey' upper and more stable, but less soft feel when you land. I don't find v1's stability to be an issue for me personally, as I don't run long miles.
      I know laces are longer on v2(was a bit of an issue with the short laces with the first version for some), but apart from that, are there any other improvements?

    • @steveh8758
      @steveh8758 Год назад

      @@alexbelikov6660 @Alex Belikov the v1 and v2 are exactly the same in terms of performance just a upper up date and I love them both there the best max cushioned shoes there are nothing else comes close .I know some people like the v3 but honestly I didn't like it for any kind of runs
      The upper was very uncomfortable at the back due to lack of padding and heel slip
      Only reason I see to get the v3 is if you found the v1 or V2 to unstable .
      Even then I'd pick the novablast 3 over the invincible 3 but neither are as soft and bouncy as the invincible 1 or 2

    Ben.. positive review; I have heard mixed reviews. Just want to know if these were gifted or any affiliation with Nike, i'm in two minds after BP's review where he is ambivalent and yours which is generally positive. Probably going to just get another 2 series but your positives sound good.

    • @steveh8758
      @steveh8758 Год назад +1

      He did get invited to the Nike media release party and also had his shoe supplied by Nike so it would be hard to turn around and criticise them too much however I think he would have not been as positive if he hated them haha plus all the RUclipsr have certain biases , fordy run said he hated the invincible 3 before anyone had even tried it
      For me the invincible 3 has major problems with heel slip and upper cuts in to me a little there little padding at the back either .
      The midsole is okay but it’s lost some of the magic of the first two.
      They have tried to make it more stable for people who complained and it in the first two
      So it’s stiffer less bouncy and less soft and people who complained the first two been unstable still think the 3 is unstable so there’s no winners here I guess .
      The invincible one or two are softer bouncier are way better in my opinion in fact there the best easy day / daily trainer you can buy

    I’m sending my pair back.
    I absolutely love the the first two versions but the 3 isn’t secure at the heel and I have to tighten it up so much with the runners knot that it’s too tight.
    They also don’t feel quite as soft and bouncy as the 1 or 2 probably because of the board and they feel heavier on foot.
    I actually felt I could run faster in the one or two as there’s more bounce
    If they kept some of padding at the back of the shoe it would have felt a lot nicer around the foot and been able to get a more secure foot lock down

      @@fudbeer1 yes unfortunately 😢 and don’t think we are the only ones who think so .
