Currently using Invincible 2 for slower runs after getting a crazy 1000 miles out of the Invincible 1 - that pair is a bit tatty but still works fine, to be frank! Invincible 2 and 3 both have verifiably better stability (well, I have checked V2, others have checked V3) than the Invincible 1, which required some ankle strength! The video is a bit confusing to be honest. You complain about a lot of features yet end up really liking the shoe because of the same features! Too expensive for me.
I had my invincible 3 yesterday, man the moment i put my feet on the shoes, i feel the rush of running, it like when you drive normal car then you try sport car, very efficient and supportive for your foot. I love it and i wish i bought it earlier
not tried the 3 but bought a heavily discounted (£85) pair of the 2 just before Christmas and despite some initial concerns, something 'clicked' after about 25 miles of use and I love them. My legs have never felt so fresh after long runs.
I never wore invincible shoes, but I had the vomero 16 as a daily trainer in my rotation not long ago. I remember that shoe being called frankenstein monster, but it did its job perfectly. Also, when it comes to pricing, Nike always offers discounts more than other brands. I think its important to mention that when it comes to running related injuries, it's all about the runner. There is more to running shoes than being rigid or not. There is no perfect shoe for everybody.
Exactly, for my feet nike is always the perfect fit, tried many brands before and always come back to the pegasus series. And the sizing is very consistent, my running shoes, basketball shoes and street shoes, the same 44 Eu size always fits if I choose Nike.
I have version 1 & 2 with no need for version 3 just yet. Not put many miles into version 2 as the originals are performing well still with 300ish miles in them. Such a comfy shoe for just protecting the legs on the slow and recovery runs. They just make you smile but do take some getting used to.
👟👟👟 Great video James. I have the Invincible one and love it for my long runs.... May go for the 2nd version instead. Would love James to do a half marathon in a bunch of similar/ recovery run shoes
I wear the alpha next percent for half marathons/ marathons. Just bought these invincible 3 for work and they are great I'm severely flatfoot and this I can wear for 8 hours with no issue
That’s interesting because I have the Alphaflys and just bought the Invincible 2, first thing I noticed was the lack of arch support. Alphaflys arches are extreme, at first I was unsure but now I love them. My outer foot hurt today in the Invincible 2s which I’m sure was my arch collapsing. Maybe the 3s have addressed this?
I’ve put in 40+ miles in mine and I’ve enjoyed them. Only small gripe was the heel slippage at the start. It’s gone away as it’s broken in. Really enjoy them for long runs and just daily training as of late. Hard to crank up the pace but that’s not what they’re for haha
I love them, bouncy, soft and a wide toebox 🥰🥰 As somone who doesn't 'race' i'd love the space and bouncyness. Also, more James singing please James 😉😉
It seems like this shoe is so much more decisive than the Invincible 2… I love my invincible 2s & the general consensus is that, most people loved the version 2. Doesn’t seem to be the same with the 3.
Great video. Have Nike made a mistake? if you have read Born To Run by Christoper Mcdougal then YES they have. Nearly all running injuries started to happen after Nike introduced the first modern running shoe. Before thhis appeared runners wore what we called pumps but some call plimsoles. Great book. Everyrun should read. I have no connection to the author I'm just a 75 year that started running just over seven years. Keep up ther great work guys, I watch all your videos 🙂
I don’t think anyone buys this model for “speed” … a strange comment to open this video up with. Secondly, I also don’t agree with the comment that because a shoe is less flexible you fatigue more easily. The Alphafly are actually designed to stop fatigue at the back end of your marathon. I’ve loved the versions 1 and 2 and will be interested to see how these compare when I almost inevitably try these out. The only issue in my opinion with the 1s and 2s was the wear on the outsole….but most shoe tubers don’t get to enough miles to see how that can play out.
Ya I thought the speed was weird. I watch someone who will do 10 mile double days and put tons and tons of time on it. He says you can easily pick up the pace and it's great for tempo runs. I've not heard this shoe is "slow".
I have the 2 and 3.2 is such an amazing shoe just love to run in it.The 3 well have done about 60 miles so far and not sure why but it just does not feel quite as fun to run in.Also not sure about the upper while it does hold your foot in place it does not feel as comfortable as the 2 and a runners knot is defiantly needed to keep your heel in place.
It doesn't seem like these shoes are great for running, but it seems like they are perfect as an everyday shoe based on how soft and comfortable they are. I read that a lot of nurses doing 11-12 shifts on their feet love them. If so, this might aid recovery for my foot and joints in between my rugby matches
Amazing shoe, my current pair has around 45 miles on it. A bit of a break in period but these have replaced my Zoom Fly 5s as my dailys. Surprisingly good for fast runs as well and the ZoomX really becomes noticeable at a fast pace.
I'm running a half in around 4 months and suffer from having flat feet. I'm looking for a comfortable, padded stability shoe and these seem to fit my needs. Would you suggest it?
@@gabrielbehzadi9182 Yes I would definitely suggest these! I also suffer flat feet and the only reason I got into running was because of the Invincible 1s. I put miles into that shoe and was the reason I purchased the 3 hoping for the same result and they definitely delivered! I ran a marathon about a month ago and the Invincible 3s were my long run shoe. I'm now 130 miles into them and they are just as comfy as the first time wearing them. After a few miles 17-20ish they do start to get heavy. But for 13 miles I think this shoe is perfect at that distance. I've seen the heel slip issue be thing for many people but not for me. I use the runners knot and they seem to really lock you down. Easily one of my favorite shoes by Nike and I can't wait to get another pair.

When I press down on the heel it becomes loose around my ankle say, like comes away from my ankle rather than loose. Does it mean they are too big? They are my normal size.

@@runningchannel thanks for the clarification ☺️ I do all my running in the invincibles ( multiple 1 & 2 models currently) as they seem to be just perfect for me, a fairly fast but frequently too heavy runner, I can do 30+ miles a week and remain injury free unlike in some less forgiving shoes I’ve used in the past.
