I look sick after, 3 years of training natural, and 1.5 years of "serious training" + optimizing my diet, training, supplements and everything together almost. And I'm still learning, and learning further and further. I literally just learned about pre- and postworkout. And using that since today. Same, we had great fitness influencers in our time who preached to stay natty and had the physiques to inspire us to do so - Matt Ogus, Chris Jones, Candito, Guzman. All of the big influencers now are clearly on roids and openly talk about it now. I’d probably have hopped on too if I was a kid in this day and age getting into bodybuilding. There’s few older, mainstream natural bodybuilder influencers nowadays to show how great your physique and life can be when you’re 30+ if you stay natural.
lol I'm your age, and plenty of people were on juice when I was in high school. It's just worse now.
Same. I already have bad body dysmorphia and never feel like I’m making enough progress, but I’m also old enough to realize that I look better than I feel in my head and steroids are a health nightmare.

Delayed gratification, or deferred gratification, is the ability to resist the temptation of an immediate reward in favor of a more valuable and long-lasting reward later.
And that ability is a huge predictor of long term success in life, too.
except long term isnt promised, who knows if some "more valuable" reward would come in the future. the future doesnt exist, only the present

What’s funny is most of the people taking steroids just look older, not necessarily bigger.

Every time they cycled off, they felt terrible-depressed, unmotivated, and unable to stay consistent with their training or diet. Before watching, I didn't realize what an important video this was to make. I was floored and devastated by the side effects these teenagers are already experiencing... but they have no current plans to stop, because they may be addicted to the highs and I think that they feel trapped in their own narrative.
