    Thanks for watching! Questions or comments, leave them below, and if you feel like you're on Meg's side of the running equation, you can help us out by picking up the shoe at the link in our description. If you're on Robbe's side, maybe wait for the Vomero?

    When you put your foot in the shoe before you lace them, bring your leg up and then slam down the back of the heel of your foot against the ground. This locks your foot into the heel of the shoe. Then lace up the shoe normally. It will also open up more room up front in the toebox too. I know this sounds simplistic, but it works because your foot is not pushed back as far as it could because of the width of space in the shoe compared to your foot in the back of the shoe.

    Regarding heel slip: I’ve had mine for 3 weeks now. It’s the only running shoe I own now, and I use it 5 times a week. As long as you do a runners knot, there is no heel slip. If you tie them normally, there is d finitely lots of heel slip. I’m very happy with these.

  • @BryanHaywood
    @BryanHaywood Год назад +9

    I had no issues with the previous 2 versions but my heel slips all the time no matter how much I tighten the laces. They also removed the gusseted tongue which I think helps with stability and lock down. I really like the updated look but the upper is just not comfortable. They also said they improved the breathability. I didn’t have any issues with the last two but this honestly doesn’t feel any different on that front either. I really wanted to like this one since this would have been my 5th shoe in the invincible series but no luck this time around. I really hope in the 4th version they address the heel padding and adding gusset back and possibly making the toe box more flexible. Picking up the Nimbus 25 instead.

    Never ran in v1 or v2, but I have a little over 70 miles in my pair of the Invincible 3 and I have to say I really like it. I did deal with lockdown issues on my right foot for the first couple of runs, but once you get the right lockdown it really sings. Have been doing mostly easy and recovery runs in them running close to 80 mile weeks and my legs have never been fresher.
    Used them for a couple long runs too and they can handle faster paces (probably up to marathon pace), although they definitely feel a little heavy after a while. On the plus side, when I switch my over to the Pegasus or the Vaporfly, I feel like I can really kick in them with my newfound glute and hamstring strength from running in the chonky boys when my legs are beat up. 😂

      @@WatchWhileHigh I wanna say mid to forefoot when doing long runs, and midfoot with a bit of heel striking here and there on recovery runs. I have a little over 160 miles in them now and I think the offset of the shoe makes it easy to lean forward.

    I feel like it’s more stable & more responsive. The invincible 2 was a little unstable in my opinion & if you aren’t running in proper mechanics you can pronate.
    The heel slippage is real… I’m trying different tie and runners knot seems to be the way to go. The zoomx feels amazing when bouncing along on easy runs.
    Traction is much better, the lockdown is pretty nice not gonna lie. I’ve done strides in them and they feel fine. It’s a little heavier but you can’t really tell.

    Loved versions one and two. Version three is awful. They cut out a lot of cushioning and the upper is very painful, causing multiple hot spots on the top and side of my feet. The upper is terrible. The midsole is a little firmer, obvious when going around a corner, much more stable. I thought I found my shoe in versions one and two, but three has caused me to leave and find another shoe. One ongoing complaint of this model is that they are like ice skates in the wet.

    Got this last week and I've put in 25 miles so far and it's good but not great. Maybe I'll like it more with more time and miles, but it's just not as bouncy and fun as v2 (haven't tried v1 but I guess it's about the same as v2). The heel slippage is definitely there, which I've never experienced in ANY running shoes in my life. The runner's knot helps but it takes a good deal of fiddling with the lacing to get a good lockdown without cinching down too much on the top of my feet. I've had to stop and re-lace numerous times to either tighten or loosen the lacing to get a good balance between comfort and lockdown. I guess I'll get a good feel for it with more time but having to go through this out of the box is a letdown.
    The ride is muted compared to the v2. Yes, it's more stable than v2 but I never found stability on the v2 to be an issue for me anyway. It's still bouncy and the taller stack means you get even less of a ground feel with plenty of impact protection, but the ride is just meh compared to v2 and certainly not in the league of the Prime X Strung - not even close. Took the PXS on a 12-mile run a day after an 8-mile run on the Invincible Run 3 and the PXS just kills it. The PXS is just so much more fun, bouncy, exciting, and enjoyable.
    The IR3 is clunky and fairly heavy so, near the end of the 8-mile run, my legs started feeling exhausted and I was thinking, "Man, this isn't fun." Then, the next day when I was finishing up a 12-mile run with the PXS, my legs (and mind) still felt fresh and I could easily have run another 5 miles. I wanted to but it had gotten dark. Anyway, the IR3 is good but it's a disappointment, especially since the expectations were so high. I definitely prefer v2 and the NB More v4 over this, but there's still a chance the shoe may grow on me with more miles. It's not a bad shoe by any means - just not as good as I had hoped.

    • @Believeintherun
      @Believeintherun  Год назад +1

      Yeah definitely doesn't compare to PX2, but then again, it's not $300. Feel like it's so close, hoping the Vomero maybe gives us what we're looking for

My favorite on all the shoe reviews on most channels they always compare the other companies shoes to Nike. My question to my son is always -- if they're comparing it to Nike and it's the same price, why are we looking at something that compares when we can have the real thing. Only exception to that and I'm speaking for him was the "Craft" shoe. Great shoe except it is so wide he kept getting blisters, I spoke to the company and they said -- year we know we're changing that on the next version.
