Hello! I love this blanket, I’m n the process of making one. When I did 75 chains, once I did the first stitch it seems short. I’m using wool-ease Thick & Quick. Help!
A few months ago I decided to learn how to crochet, and I watched a lot of tutorial video's. My blanket was HORRIBLE! I couldn't figure out what in the world I was doing wrong. I was so frustrated! Then I came across this video. You explained things so clearly for a novice like me! I'm on my way to crocheting beautiful blankets now! Thank you so much!
🤦🏾♀️started off with 75 and by row 4 I have 65 😂😅😂…ATTEMPT NUMBER 3😩🤣😭😂 UPDATE: I successfully completed my first blanket and it’s beautiful!!! Thank you for your easy to understand instructions🙏🏾❤❤❤
Beautiful blanket!!! I can’t believe how much Pascal grows week to week🐶 It looks like he has the sweetest personality!!! Thank You for sharing your creativity and your fur babies with us.
Thanks for the clear instructions. I love your dog. My last standard looked just like yours. I still miss him nearly twenty years after he died. Be well.
I absolutely love your color choices, Christina!! They all seem to be so complimentary one to the other!! I've been watching for a while now and I have discovered new combination colors I wouldn't have thought of!! They have a very calming effect!! Bravo to all you do!!! 🇺🇲
Thank you Christine for your inspiration! I always wanted to learn and you are the perfect teacher. I get excited and start too many projects at once, so after I finish painting my dining room table, sail through the Holidays, this throw is on my list! Your puppy is precious, so happy he is the perfect addition to your Family. Have a delicious Holiday Season, ❤️🎄🎉❤️
Incredibly well explained tutorial. I could see everything clearly, I understand what you were saying, and I made my own blanket, a temperature blanket. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video!! I am a beginner and I'm to start my 1st blanket, ive been practicing crochet with Amigurumi kits and I think im now ready to start a blanket!! So excited so im using this patterns.. i appreciate the easy to follow tutorial! I love your dogs as well.. so cute!!! ❤❤😊
Thank you so much for this video! I just learned how to crochet and decided to try this blanket, this is the first blanket I’ve ever made. It turned out beautiful, in fact I just finished my second one!
I had each a lots of crochet videos for beginners but like your videos none I love the way you take your time to explain step by step I learn a lot with your video please send me one with how to learn to crochet a blanket for a baby I what to make one for my gray grand baby’s he will be born on December. Thank
Bonjour Christina, très belle couverture et très jolies couleurs. Beau cadeau pour Noël. Gros bisous de France. Evelyne. Et hâte de découvrir ta nouvelle maison. A bientôt
Oh my !! It was my first time ever crocheting so I decided to do a one stitch blanket pattern , your video was so helpful. It was easy to realize and the result is stunning. Thanks you very much. *Oh and an advice for anyone who will read this* : yes you'll need more than 3 balls of yarn 😂😂
you are an angel!!!! thank you so much for the simple instructions🥹 i’m very new to crocheting and this was so easy to learn, i’m having so much fun ❤❤
Hello!! I just started my blanket 😃 I can't wait to see the results 🙈🙈😃 I'll let you know how looks. Thanks so mucho for this tutorial, is so easy to follow even when I am a beginner 😬😆😄🥰🥰
Thank you again for sharing this pattern . Love this yarn. Have you made and shared the ripple/chevron pattern afghan? I'd like to see your tutorial on that is so. Many thanks.
Good morning Christina, what a lovely "dense" blanket! I love the colours, and as you used single crochet this really is a snug blanket for a rainy or snow day. I agree, they make wonderful gifts to a special friend or family member, this really becomes a treasure and if care is taken it can be passed on at a later stage, not that I would part with such a precious handmade throw. I have to agree, your teaching is excellent, every area where we could go wrong you have emphasized the could be problem later on, the working away of the yarn tails are lovely, they will not come lose and if they do, we can just weave them back in. The dogs are lovely, Pascal is like a battery operated toy, he just keeps going and going. Hadley just looks and keeps his thoughts to himself, he is not wasting his energy chasing after his toys it seems. Any idea when the big move will take place, have you found your new home or are you still searching? Wishing you all the best, take care, Kind regards.
I really appreciate your thoughtful comment 🙏 Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes you are absolutely correct about Pascal lol 😂 he is a battery that out does mine lol. He has such a beautiful face and lovely character too! Best wishes to you and your family 🤗♥️♥️
I used at 15mm because it’s what I have. I’m not super beginner but I didn’t think 1mm smaller of a hook would basically double the amount of rows I needed 😂
Hello when you start the next row on your Last stitch are you going into the second stitch then one Stitch there after I can’t see it very well.. that’s the only thing I am confused on. Love the video and would like to make this blanket as my first blanket🎉😅
This was an awesome video with clear and concise instructions. Thank you for sharing. I'm inspired to give it a try. Got a coupon for savings this week!! One thing you didn't talk about but I noticed that your loops always went down the crochet hook to the skinny portion. I assume this helps to keep your loops uniform in size?
I really like your voice, but I have that crochet hook and it is the worst Crochet hook I ever had. I don’t like that each time you have to go over that bump so I would definitely try this throw, but I would never use that crochet hook. I’m looking forward to seeing other tutorials that you do. Thank you.
I have always wanted to learn and you have been a wonderful teacher! I know it has been awhile but what size yarn would this be classified as? I would like to make a blanket for my dad
Thank you so much!!!! oh Gosh, I believe this was a chunky yarn I used. I think on the video there is a shot of the yarn label, if you can take a look in my video chapter description it should take you to that section. I hope you enjoy today's new video as well! ❤️🎨🙏
I like the wool you chose. Did you buy it at Michaels? Regarding the chain at the end I have always chained 2 regardless of the pattern. I Al going to attempt one of the patterns you posted in a previous video. Kim in Niagara.
I want to single stitch a bernat blanket for an adult size (full or queen size blanket). How many chains do I need to make? I saw some do 50 for baby blankets.
I love this project and I'd like to try it. In the UK, three skeins of Lion Brand Easy Quick and Thick cost £50. Could you recommend another brand at all? I'm new to crochet, so don't know much about wool or yarn.
I really want to try this blanket. I’ve never crocheted before and I’m confused by how you grab the loops for the single crochet. Maybe I’m wrong but it looks like when you go into the top of the loop you turn your hook to the right and then you turn it to the left to pull thru to complete the single crochet. Am I seeing it correctly?
It can be confusing to see crocheting as a beginner, I know I was lol 😂 It is correct of you to mention the turn of the crochet hook. Everyone is a little different on how they feel comfortable to using the hook. Try a small sample of the pattern of single crochet, maybe 5-10 stitches to start and make a couple of rows and get a feel of how the hook fits and turns to grab the yarn. How you described it sounds correct 👍🏻 🤗♥️♥️

I love it.
Hi. The yarn is. Now 8.99. At Joanns. Where did you buy it? Loved how easy you explain it.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Im planning to make baby blanket can I know how much number of stitches for baby blanket?

I want to single stitch a bernat blanket for an adult size (full or queen size blanket). How many chains do I need to make? I saw some do 50 for baby blankets.
Hi, what adjustments would need to be made for a 15mm hook?
not much you will just make them larger, I used I believe a 12mm hook. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy today's new video! ❤️🎨🙏
I love this project and I'd like to try it. In the UK, three skeins of Lion Brand Easy Quick and Thick cost £50. Could you recommend another brand at all? I'm new to crochet, so don't know much about wool or yarn.
I think any chunky wool would be fine.
Thank you so much! Take a look at my video description, I have a link to amazon that may be cheaper for you. I hope you enjoy today's new video! ❤️🎨🙏
What brand 16mm crochet hook did you use? Don’t see the brand.
Hi Cathy! No particular brand just find one that’s comfortable for you. I prefer the plastic ones. 🎨🙏❤️
I really want to try this blanket. I’ve never crocheted before and I’m confused by how you grab the loops for the single crochet. I chained 1 at the end and it is getting wider for some reason- do you know why?
How many inches wide are each stripe?
❤ ellerinize sağlık
I'm not sure how much yarn I will need
Written pattern?
