    i’m 13 and finally learning how to crochet. honestly this helped me so much. it relives so much anxiety and it’s kind of like a fidget to me, so thank you for helping me learn how to!! it means a lot. i will edit when i’m done making my blanket or half way or whatever with updates. i am making one a bit bigger than yours but not counting how many stitches because i lost track at the beginning lol, let’s hope it doesn’t turn out bad. :)
    edit: honestly it didn’t turn out that bad! it has some bumps and it’s a little uneven but for my first blanket, i love it.

    • @statisticallybl
      @statisticallybl Год назад +3

      @@powellinaALDAYeach blanket I made was a different size, so it’s hard to say. I modified the pattern a bit to make a couple of my blankets a little wider and a little shorter (60 chains wide and about 40 rows). As a beginner, and wanting to take my time since it was a gift and I didn’t want to mess up, each row of 60 chains took about 10 minutes. So 6-7 hours for that size blanket. I think I used about 4 1/2 skeins of bernat blanket yarn.

    A year ago today I learned to crochet and do many projects by the help of mostly your videos and some others. I wanted to do it so badly at first and assumed there would be no videos on RUclips and That I would have to take classes. I made lots of projects for friends, family and my animals that they love so much. I just want to thank you so much for uploading videos to youtube for everyone to learn. It made me realize how happy and grateful I am for some people who just want to spread information regardless if their is a price on it. Molly It’s all about practice! If you’re just starting, I recommend making a blanket just for yourself to see what you need to work on, what patterns work best for you, etc. that’s how I started crocheting, started with one blanket for myself to see my weak points, and how to improve, etc. It helps you see how you’ve progressed! If you were planning on making it for someone else, continue, and when you’re all finished, start with one for you to help you
